Cringeworthy clichéd mess from start to finish Warning: Spoilers
If you are familiar with the literature of Emilie Richards, you know what to expect: pseudo drama and an embarrassingly cheesy love story. This movie is 4 years old and runs for slightly under 90 minutes. The lead actress is Nina Bott who had her breakthrough on GZSZ and lead actor Kai Schumann is not entirely unknown either. The film's writer and director are experienced television filmmakers and the writer also worked on several Rosamunde Pilcher films already, which is basically the same rubbish. One of the most embarrassing things in these films by Richards are always the pretentious English names, or here also the French name of the protagonist. Or how they call police officers "detective" just like this was some American crime movie. Epic. And the central female characters are basically always the same: smart, emancipated, caring, successful and always looking for the right one. The love interests to these characters do not differ either. Here we have a man where it is pretty funny to see how they depict him as a former bad boy and the scene where he beats Bott's character's husband is particularly hilarious. In a bad way.

Also this movie here gives us the message that it is okay to cheat on your husband instead of getting divorced. Even the main character's best friend repeatedly encourages her to do so. And Schumann's character says it would have been better if she hadn't told him she is married so the cheating could have perfectly continued for him without any responsibility. She is played by Teresa Harder and this is probably the most embarrassing performance. You have to say about the other actors that they are not as bad as the horrible script, but Harder manages this without any problems. A true natural when it comes to bad acting. Pretty strange to see she has been in over a 100 productions with her lack of talent. Oh and then there is also another love story including one of the arsonists and this one totally adds nothing to the movie either. I guess they had trouble in making it close to 90 minutes and included this one to gap the bridge. The soundtrack is terrible too. The only partially positive thing about this film are some decent nature shot. The rest is a terrible disaster. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
