We first reported on Deeper, a spec script by Max Landis, way back in 2006. MGM won the bidding war for the rights but it has yet to move forward despite attaching several big names — including Bradley Cooper, Gal Gadot, and Idris Elba — in the years since.
But if anyone can get a movie made, it’s Tom Cruise — and Deadline is reporting that he’d like to make the aquatic supernatural thriller his next project.
The story follows an astronaut who encounters a terrifying force while on a deep dive into a never-before-explored trench.
Doug Liman is set to direct, with Christopher McQuarrie involving in re-writing the script.
Ana de Armas is attached to co-star. She and Cruise have reportedly been undergoing the required diving training for the movie.
The budget is estimated to be in the $200 million range, which is the biggest hurdle in getting the green light.

When it filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, Village Roadshow pointed to the souring of its longtime partnership with Warner Bros. for its financial woes. At the heart of the falling out that was years in the making: A legal battle over the studio’s decision to release Matrix Resurrections simultaneously on HBO Max and in theaters, eating away at box office returns.
That lawsuit went dark shortly after it was filed, with a judge moving it to arbitration.
A year later, an arbitrator found in favor of Wbd and awarded the studio roughly $125 million, The Hollywood Reporter has learned of the previously unreported figure. It was found in 2023 that Village Roadshow breached a series of deals involving the Matrix films by failing to pay its $107 million share of the cofinancing arrangement, according to a person familiar with the situation who was granted anonymity because the matter is confidential. The debt remains unpaid.

As filming continues on the live-action Masters of the Universe movie in London, this latest video from the set has ignited speculation that the villainous Beast Man might appear after all.
When the supporting cast was announced, it was assumed that Game of Thrones alum Hafthor Bjornsson's Goat Man would fill the role of Skeletor's animalistic henchman, but we'd later hear that concept art featuring Beast Man, Man-e-Faces, Spikor and Battle Cat was spotted at CinemaCon.
In the video and photos below, we see a group of extras running in terror from an unknown actor in a large motion-capture suit and rig. According to set reports, this individual was seen chasing people through the streets with "the movements of a monkey."
We'd say there's a good chance this will turn out to be Beast Man, but there are a lot of Motu characters, and this could always be...

Exclusive: Agathe Rousselle, who broke out in 2021 Cannes Palme d’Or winning body-horror Titane, and Sallie Harmsen (Blade Runner 2049) have joined the cast of Apple TV+ heist series 12 12 12, alongside Anthony Mackie, Jamie Dornan, who also produce.
Co-produced by Skydance Television and Anonymous Content, 12 12 12 unfolds across three timelines of a heist: the 12 months of planning, the 12 hours of the heist, and the 12 days following the heist.
The series follows a disgraced FBI agent (Mackie) and an American career criminal (Dornan) who play a zero-sum game of cat and mouse across Europe. At the center of it all is the daring, epic raid on a bank vault deep beneath the streets of Zurich.
The show is created and written by Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble, who will also executive produce.
Kari Skogland will direct the pilot, as well as executive produce. Mackie executive produces via his Make It With Gravy production company alongside Jason Spire for Inspire Entertainment.
The casting announcement comes hot on the heels of news last week that Ólafur Darri Ólafsson has also joined the cast.
French actress Rousselle, who splits her time between Paris and San Francisco, and Dutch actress Harmsen have signed for regular roles in the series.
In the meantime, Rousselle will next be seen in French director Laurent Slama’s Paris 2024 Olympics-set and shot drama A Second Life, which world premieres in Tribeca in June. She co-stars opposite Alex Lawther (The End of the F**ing World) as a depressed woman working for a holiday lets concierge company, whose life changes when she meets a free-spirited traveller.
Other credits since Titane, in which Rousselle played a psychopath with a titanium plate in her head, have included French Netflix Original Feature Gold Brick and Australian drama How To Make Gravy, while she also appeared in Last Days, an opera based on the Gus Van Sant film, directed by Matt Copson, and performed at both the Royal Opera House in London and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
Sallie Harmsen gained international attention in Blade Runner 2049 (2017) opposite Jared Leto, Devils (2020), The Postcard Killings (2020), directed by Oscar-winner Danis Tanović and the BBC-series Delia (2024).
She also starred in Drawback (2023) opposite Claes Bang and will soon be seen in a leading role in the series, Suga, for Amazon Prime Video. She’s been nominated for a Dutch Academy Award (Golden Calf) twice in The Netherlands.
Rousselle is is repped by CAA and Adéquat and Sallie Harmsen is represented by No19 Talent Management and United Agents.

As filming on the live-action Masters of the Universe movie continues in London, these latest photos and a video from the set give us a first glimpse of Camila Mendes in full costume as Teela.
The Riverdale star was spotted shooting several scenes (including an action sequence) with Nicholas Galitzine, who is in Prince Adam mode here. We assume Teela comes to Earth to bring the amnesiac Adam back to his home world of Eternia, where he will fulfil his destiny as He-Man.
Teela has been a permanent fixture of the Motu franchise ever since those first mini-comics, and is usually depicted as Prince Adam's protector and He-Man's right-hand woman/love-interest.
The character was played by Chelsea Field in the previous live-action movie, and was voiced by Sarah Michelle Gellar in Netflix's Masters of the Universe: Revelation animated series before being replaced by Melissa Benoist.

Denis Villeneuve teamed up with Taylor Sheridan to deliver what is arguably one of the best action-thriller movies of the 2010s. The duo worked together on Sicario, which was written by Sheridan and directed by Villeneuve. The film earned critical acclaim and emerged as a box office success.
Despite the first installment’s success, Villeneuve did not resume his directorial duties for the second installment. Although Villeneuve did not specify a reason for his absence from the sequel, the director’s comments have implied the real reason he did not return to helm Sicario 2, and here is everything you need to know in that regard!
Denis Villeneuve did not return for Sicario 2 because of other commitments
Denis Villeneuve tasted unprecedented critical and commercial success with his Dune movies. He initially rose to prominence with small-scale action and thriller movies. One of them was 2015’s Sicario, written by Taylor Sheridan.

Few sci-fi films have a grip on pop culture quite like Ridley Scott’sBlade Runner. The 1982 adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s iconic novel Do You Dream of Electric Sheep? starring Harrison Ford(Indiana Jones) defined the genre in the '80s. Over the last 40 plus years, its fanbase and legacy have only grown. This was with the help of the 2017 sequel being one of the best films of the last decade. Now, before the world expands in its next iteration on the small screen, the original Blade Runner is getting a new futuristic 4K edition.
The latest 4K steelbook will include “The Final Cut” of Blade Runner, which saw extended scenes added to the theatrical release. This is seen by Scott and many fans as the definitive version of the film. This edition will presumably feature all the same special features as past 4K releases of the film and...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe may not quite be the cultural force it was throughout the 2010s, with something like "Captain America: Brave New World" being seen as a box office gamble rather than a surefire hit. Gone are the days where fans could be certain the newest MCU flick would be met with positive praise on Rotten Tomatoes and netting a sizable profit. Even so, the franchise isn't without its merits, and it shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
The MCU was king of the hill for many years, and you don't reach that level of popularity without making a few enemies. Plenty of fans watch whatever comes out in theaters or on Disney+ for some escapism, but plenty of filmmakers adamantly believe the MCU has ruined the nature of cinema or at the very least aren't challenging audiences to engage with art in any meaningful way. The...

The visionary behind Dune and Blade Runner 2049, Denis Villeneuve, is famous for his compelling storytelling techniques that dive into the darker aspects of humanity. Yet, when he first came across the script for Sicario, a riveting thriller about the US-Mexico drug war, his initial reaction was not what you’d expect.
The honest response pointed to just how emotionally taxing such intense narratives can be, even for experienced directors like him. What made him hesitant about taking on the film was the thought that this would be another morally complex and brutal project that would ask too much of his creative and emotional reserves.
Denis Villeneuve is not new to the emotionally taxing world of dark thrillers

Blade Runner: Time To Live was reportedly set to be a major game release, but even before it’s announced, it’s been cancelled.
If you think that it’s impossible to mourn the loss of something that you never had, you’re clearly haven’t found your way to Ridley Scott’s 1982 cyberpunk noir classic, Blade Runner. The film starred Harrison Ford as a weary and cynical cop tasked with tracking down and killing synthetic beings. Beings who would cling to the idea of life, even if – by our own human definition – ‘life’ was something they didn’t, and couldn’t, possess.
There’s a grim irony to this story then that like the story’s ‘replicants’, we find ourselves lamenting the loss of something we never even possessed, a new videogame that would have expanded the Blade Runner mythos.

The very thought of Ryan Gosling appearing in a Barbie sequel as Ken is exciting for many fans of the actor. In December, multiple reports suggested that Barbie 2 is in the early stages of development. As much as we all like to see him back as Ken, there is another franchise that the actor needs to take over now after he got the approval from the Og star.
Gosling had previously revealed that his favorite film as a child was Sylvester Stallone’s Rambo. Interestingly, Gosling’s passion for the role got Stallone’s attention, who picked him to play the potential next generation iteration of the Rambo movies. We are positive that the Drive actor would be exceptional in such an action thriller.

Chalamet Followed Dune Updates Early(Photo Credit –Facebook)
Timothée Chalamet wasn’t waiting on a casting call. He hunted for Dune. Long before he became Paul Atreides, he was setting Google alerts and secretly planning how to land a role in Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi epic. The hustle? Very real.
Back in the early days of Dune’s pre-production, Chalamet clocked Villeneuve’s name and pounced. That was his moment. He wanted in so badly, he told Deadline that he created a Google alert the second he saw the Arrival director attached. “As soon as Denis got involved, I set up a Google alert, and that’s when I got the book,” he said.
Funny thing? He barely knew what Dune was. At that point, his only exposure was a graphic novel version he spotted while shopping for Yu-Gi-Oh! cards at ten years old. But once Villeneuve was locked, Chalamet went full steam ahead.

We recently got our first (distant) glimpse of Castle Grayskull and several costumed actors - one of whom might just have been Jared Leto as Skeletor - on the set of the live-action Masters of the Universe movie, and thanks to ForEternia.com, we now have a look at a huge map of Eternia - complete with some very interesting illustrations.
Some zoomed in (though still not the clearest) shots of the figures surrounding the map reveal what appear to be depictions of a number of supporting characters, including Zodak and King Hiss, as well as Bow, Netossa, and Perfuma from She-Ra!
Zodak, aka the Cosmic Enforcer, is a powerful, immortal Eternian who is a sword enemy of the Snake Men, led by King Hiss. While it's not particularly surprising to see these figures from the lore's ancient history on a map, we did not expect to see any She-Ra references in the movie.

You can ask a Blade Runner fan what was so special about it, and within an instant, they will reply using just a few words: the lore, the action, stunning visuals, and the protagonists’ (relatable) existential crisis. And if you’ve watched the Blade Runner films, you would immediately agree how much this holds true.
And so, when rumors started to surface that the developers of Until Dawn would be making a Blade Runner game, fans got all hyped up. The game was expected to be a third-person, story-driven action-adventure titled Blade Runner: Time to Live.
The ambitious project was scheduled for a September 2027 release, with pre-production reportedly already complete. So naturally, the question arises – what happened to the game and why?

In Helldivers 2, Super Earth’s finest are getting their democracy-spreading butts handed to them by glowing squid aliens. Not because the Illuminate possess superior technology or overwhelming numbers—but because they’ve mastered the art of exploiting humanity’s greatest weakness: our collective three brain cells.
High Command is sweating bullets as the Illuminate’s deceptively simple strategy continues to work with alarming effectiveness. The alien menace has been systematically attacking multiple fronts simultaneously, forcing Helldivers to spread themselves thin across different planets.
And it’s working beautifully. While Super Earth scrambles to adjust its defensive posture, the Illuminate keep slicing through our defenses with all the subtlety of a butter knife through, well, butter.
The butter knife method: Spreading democracy too thin
The Illuminate’s strategy is so devilishly simple it’s almost insulting to Super Earth’s finest. They don’t blitzkrieg with overwhelming force or unleash some cosmic death ray.

Since its release in early 2024, Helldivers 2 has proved itself to be one of the best live-service games out there. Developer Arrowhead Game Studios has done an incredible job ensuring that there’s always something new for gamers to experience.
Sure, we’ve had some hiccups along the way. Namely, the Psn requirements, the controversial balance changes, and other additions to the game, but Helldivers 2 is still a prime example of a game done right.
What stands out about Helldivers 2‘s rise to the top is that it comes from a very specific group of players: Call of Duty players. That’s right. If the Fps fans hadn’t been looking for something new, Helldivers 2 would’ve been toast.

The unsung heroes of Super Earth’s war effort don’t wear special armor or carry exclusive weapons in Helldivers 2. They simply answer the call when you’re pinned down by Automatons or swarmed by Terminids.
These noble warriors drop everything to respond to Sos beacons across the galaxy, often joining missions with zero reinforcements left and certain doom on the horizon.
It’s time Arrowhead Game Studios recognized these selfless soldiers with an official commendation. After all, spreading managed democracy is a team effort, and those who rescue their fellow divers deserve more than just a “thanks for the carry.”
The thankless saviors of desperate missions
Every Helldivers 2 player knows that sinking feeling when a mission goes sideways. You’re down to your last reinforcement, surrounded by Bile Titans, with critical objectives still incomplete. That Sos beacon becomes your final hope — a desperate cry into the void of space.

Super Earth’s propaganda machine has been working overtime following the successful completion of “Operation Sushi Bar.” The massive Voteless extermination campaign initially seemed impossible, yet somehow, through sheer democratic willpower, the Helldivers 2 community managed to eliminate one billion of these unfortunate former citizens.
For those unfamiliar with the horrors of the galactic war, the Voteless are former Super Earth citizens who’ve been captured and transformed by the Illuminate. These poor souls have been stripped of their most fundamental right—the ability to participate in a managed democracy.
But as with all things related to Super Earth’s military campaigns, there’s more to this story than meets the eye. The mission completion message contains a suspicious paragraph about “cranial dissection” and developing a “deeper understanding of mind control.”

A Helldivers movie is officially in development, and our excitement only grows with every passing day. While Arrowhead Game Studios, the developers of Helldivers 2, aren’t calling the shots, their enthusiasm is contagious.
Our favorite officials at the studio have kept us entertained with comments on social media regarding the adaptation. While the film is still in early development, Arrowhead CEO Shams Jorjani and Cco Johan Pilestedt have already teased one wild idea: cast A-list actors, then kill them off violently.
Arrowhead won’t be heavily involved in the Helldivers movie, but there are some ideas
Arrowhead’s Cco Johan Pilestedt has been honest about the studio’s limited role in the film. “We are not Hollywood people,” he said on January 13, 2025, while replying to a fan comment on X/Twitter. He then added that “we don’t, and shouldn’t, have final say.” You might think that it’s...

In just one year, Helldivers 2 has successfully managed to establish itself as one of the most exciting co-op video games of all time. The game has managed to keep the players hooked with its intriguing Super Earth lore, impressive mechanics, and chaotic gameplay. The community has classified itself into different types of divers depending on the enemies these players like to fight. However, there is a simple classification of Helldivers 2 players.
Helldivers 2 players on PC have been facing some performance issues lately, but Arrowhead Game Studios has assured fans that it is working on a fix. The past year was no less than a rollercoaster for Arrowhead as the game lost 90% of its fanbase at one point, but the developers managed to turn things around.

Ryan Gosling is Barbie’s Ken, Blade Runner 2049’s Officer K, La La Land’s Sebastian, and the list goes on with credits that shine a light on his acting prowess. Nonetheless, did you know that he also tried his hand at directing? In 2015, Gosling made his directing debut with Lost River, which found a new home.
Lost River, described as a “dark fairytale” follows a family, consisting of a mother, Billy, who finds it hard to retain her ancestral home as she defaults on a loan. To save his family from bankruptcy, her son, Bones, tries to unearth the town's origins. The feature written by Gosling was a commercial failure, grossing only $615,500 on its $2 million budget.
The surreal and unconventional storytelling of the movie missed the mark with both audiences and critics garnering a Rotten Tomatoes score of 30 percent. The movie has a stellar cast consisting of some power-packed performers,...

Purple light bathes a Helldiver’s face as they lock eyes with an Illuminate Watcher. In that fleeting moment before chaos erupts, someone hit the screenshot button—and accidentally created cinematic magic that would make Denis Villeneuve proud.
The resulting masterpiece has exploded across the Helldivers 2 community faster than a poorly-aimed orbital strike. It’s not just another gaming screenshot; it’s a perfect marriage of Super Earth propaganda aesthetics and neo-noir cinematography that captures everything we love about fighting for managed democracy.
And that callsign—”G4″ glowing in neon green against the darkness—just chef’s kiss. Intentional or cosmic coincidence? Either way, it’s giving major Ryan Gosling energy, and the community can’t get enough.

The bankrupted production company Village Roadshow, which financed The Matrix, has a catalogue of films worth a minimum of $417.5m, a judge has ruled.
The collapse of Village Roadshow in March 2025 brought to an end a production company whose history stretched back to the late 80s. In the wake of its bankruptcy, the LA-based firm’s back catalogue of films is going up for sale at auction – and the winning bidder will now have to pay a minimum of $417.5m to get it.
The ruling was made on the 22nd April according to The Hollywood Reporter, with Alcon Media Group – the production company behind Blade Runner 2049 and TV’s The Expanse – putting in an offer for Village Roadshow’s rights for that above-mentioned sum. The bid was approved by a bankruptcy judge, which means that it’s now the minimum the film rights will sell for – a competitor could...

Village Roadshow Entertainment Group’s film library will sell for at least $417.5 million.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Thomas Horan on Tuesday approved an offer from Alcon Media Group for Village Roadshow’s collection of 108 feature films, including stakes in The Matrix and Ocean’s franchises. The stalking horse bid, which sets a price floor for the assets, will be tested at auction. Rival offers, including from Warner Bros. Discovery and investment firm Content Partners, may still surface.
Last month, Village Roadshow — once one of the most prolific behind-the-scenes financiers in Hollywood — filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. It pointed to a costly endeavor aimed at creating content in-house and the souring of its longtime partnership with Warner Bros.
Blade Runner 2049 coproducer Alcon Entertainment outbid Content Partners, which offered $365 million. The court will oversee an auction to maximize the value of Village Roadshow’s assets. The deadline to enter a bid...

Many fans (this writer included), whether they are casual moviegoers or genuine film buffs, seem to be in agreement that Dave Bautista is the best WWE star turned actor. Look no further than his brief role in 2017's "Blade Runner 2049" (a movie that was simply too good to be a box office hit) to see just how much emotional gravitas he can bring to a character, even one with very minimal screen time.
However, before the former WWE champion began tearing it up on the silver screen with heavyweight directors like Denis Villeneuve and James Gunn, he was getting his start on The CW's "Smallville." Bautista made his acting debut in the show's sixth season, playing Aldar, a powerful criminal entity who is accidentally released from the Phantom Zone. While the character only appears in one episode, he leaves an incredibly bloody impression.

Oscar-winning documentary “No Other Land” has been made newly available for digital rent in North America in an effort to fundraise for Masafer Yatta communities.
The three-week fundraiser, which starts Friday and lasts through May 9, allows individuals and organizations to rent the film and hold their own screenings. Proceeds will go to the Masafer Yatta communities that are depicted in the film.
“We decided to independently make our film accessible online in the U.S. because, despite winning the Oscar, our community is still being destroyed and we urgently need help. All the money we get from this fundraiser will go directly to the community, physical and psychological support to help families recover after settler attacks, a local sheep fodder factory to create employment, and English classes so the younger generation has more tools to tell our stories,” Basel Adra, one of the filmmakers, who worked alongside Hamdan Ballal, Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor,...

It's been more than five years since we had a "Star Wars" movie in theaters, which is pretty surprising given that Disney once promised an entry annually from the legendary franchise after its purchase of Lucasfilm in 2012. In any case, the next era of a galaxy far, far away on the big screen is finally taking shape. We've known for some time that Jon Favreau's "The Mandalorian and Grogu" would arrive in 2026. As for what comes after? That honor goes to the newly announced "Star Wars: Starfighter" from director Shawn Levy ("Deadpool & Wolverine").
Though it had previously been revealed that Levy was working on a "Star Wars" movie with Ryan Gosling attached to star, it was finally confirmed, title and all, during Star Wars Celebration in Japan. While plot details remain firmly under wraps, the movie is now officially set to arrive in May 2027 and will take place...

Editor's Note: Star Wars Celebration 2025 Japan revealed that Shawn Levy's film is called Star Wars: Starfighter and confirmed that Ryan Gosling will star in the film. The release date is 2027 for Star Wars' 50th anniversary. See the full recap here. This article was written prior to the reveal. However, the author's thoughts and opinions still stand.
For a while now, Shawn Levy’s Star Wars movie has felt like one of those galaxy-brained ideas that might just float in the void forever — a cool "what if?" without any concrete momentum. But that narrative may finally be shifting, thanks to some updates from writer Jonathan Tropper and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy.
In a new interview with ScreenRant, Tropper, who previously teamed up with Levy on The Adam Project, offered a rather tantalizing hint about the project's progress. While remaining tight-lipped on specifics, Tropper responded to excitement about the movie with,...

Ryan Gosling has the high ground. Lucasfilm confirmed that the star will lead a new “Star Wars” installment, titled “Star Wars: Starfighter,” with Shawn Levy directing. The film is eyeing a fall production start and Disney has set a theatrical release date of May 28, 2027.
After numerous reports on Gosling and Levy’s attachment to a “Star Wars” project, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and chief creative officer Dave Filoni officially unveiled plans for “Starfighter” on Friday morning at the banner’s annual Star Wars Celebration event in Tokyo.
Variety can also confirm that Jonathan Tropper has written the screenplay for the film. Tropper has written prior features for Levy and is the creator of the Apple TV+ series “Your Friends & Neighbors.”

Denis Villeneuve Wants To Direct A James Bond Film? (Photo Credit – Prime Video)
Denis Villeneuve has a deep-rooted obsession with James Bond, and it turns out he was desperate for his shot at the 007 franchise. The Dune director, fresh off the release of his epic sci-fi adaptation, revealed his fascination with the iconic spy back to his childhood. But don’t get it twisted: he wasn’t just talking about any Bond movie. He was talking about stepping into the director’s chair for the series that had shaped his love for cinema.

Did Daniel Craig and Ana de Armas need help with Bond’s steamy scenes? (Photo Credit – Twitter)
While No Time to Die packed the usual spy thrills and sleek explosions, what really turned heads behind the scenes was a quiet addition to the crew. Daniel Craig and Ana de Armas reportedly worked with an intimacy coordinator for their bedroom scenes, making the 25th Bond film a rare step forward for the franchise’s long-standing (and often criticized) approach to sensuality.
This decision wasn’t just about modern protocol, it came from a place of trust. Craig had already teamed up with de Armas in Knives Out, and he wanted her in the Bond universe because, as he put it in the Los Angeles Times, “She’s got the chops. She can do it all. And it’s about time people sat up and noticed.” Their on-screen chemistry carried over into No Time to Die,...

Always a valuable resource for behind-the-scenes insight, director David F. Sandberg made a video detailing his approach to practical effects in Until Dawn.
A must-watch for aspiring filmmakers, the video plays like an eight-minute film class on special effects that includes test foots he shot with his wife and producing partner Lotta Losten.
It also teases a few of the movie’s in-camera gore gags, including a worm burrowing into a face, a pickax stab through the chest, a head repeatedly smashed on the ground, and a leg amputation.
Applied Arts FX Studio handled the practical effects in the film, with visual effects by Upp.

There is nothing quite like a sci-fi comedy. In March, we were treated to a brilliant new film in the genre through the form of Bong Joon Ho's "Mickey 17," which was an adaptation of Edward Nashton's novel, "Mickey7." Although the film flopped at the box office, some have hailed the film as a worthwhile futuristic satire with arguably Robert Pattinson's best performance to date. Now, for those looking for laughs from outer space in the comfort of their home, Apple TV+ is bringing us more astronomical hilarity with their brand new series, "Murderbot," and this first official trailer gives us a glimpse at what space oddities are in store for viewers.
Based on Martha Wells' best-selling Hugo and Nebula Award-winning book series, "The Murderbot Diaries," this new show was created by Academy Award-nominees Chris Weitz and Paul Weitz, and stars Emmy Award-winner Alexander Skarsgård in the titular role.

By the Power of Grayskull!
A sizzle reel for Amazon MGM and Mattel's live-action Masters of the Universe movie screened for those in attendance at CinemaCon last week, and while the footage was not released online (a first teaser trailer is probably still a while off), we do have some new photos from the London set.
These drone shots were taken from quite a distance, but we can make out what appears to be Castle Graysull's unmistakable jaw-drawbridge, as well as a captive Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) and several hooded figures, one of whom might just be Skeletor (Jared Leto).
Though there's a chance this could simply be one of Skeletor's minions (there are a number of other skull-armoured individuals nearby), he does appear to be holding the villain's signature ram's head Havoc Staff.

The Netflix show, set in Edo-period Japan, centers on Mizu, a blade-forging warrior hiding more than just her steel. A lawsuit by Blade Runner 2049 production company Alcon Entertainment against Tesla and Warner Bros over the use of images from the film at a promotional event can proceed, a federal judge has ruled.
The scope of the complaint, however, was narrowed in a ruling late Monday by Judge George Wu in the U.S. District Court of Central California. Wu sided with the defendants by dismissing several of Alcon’s claims and ordering the narrower complaint to go to mediation. Still pending is Alcon’s charge of copyright infringement, which stems from the use of images from the sci-fi sequel starring Ryan Gosling to train AI tools involved in generating materials for Tesla.
Alcon sued Warner Bros and Tesla last October after the automaker’s “We Robot” event on the Warners lot in Burbank, insisting that the companies had ignored its refusal of a request to incorporate the film’s visuals.

A federal judge has narrowed the scope of a lawsuit from a production company for Blade Runner 2049 accusing Tesla of feeding images from the movie into an artificial intelligence image generator to create unlicensed promotional materials and Warner Bros. Discovery of facilitating the partnership.
U.S. District Judge George Wu on Monday dismissed allegations that Alcon Entertainment’s trademarks were violated while allowing some copyright claims to proceed.
Tesla’s partnership with Wbd to promote its robotaxi at a glitzy unveiling, which was done from a studio lot, last year sparked the lawsuit. At the presentation, Elon Musk reached the stage in what he called a “cybercab” before showing an image of a male figure wearing a trench coat who’s surveying the abandoned ruins of a city bathed in a misty, orange light. Alcon alleged that the image was intended to be understood as an actual still from...

These days, actress Robin Wright is likely best known for her six seasons as Claire Underwood on “House of Cards.” Her character’s trajectory on Netflix’s often-rancid take on underhanded politics saw her ending up becoming the 47th President of the United States after co-star Kevin Spacey was forced to leave the show due to allegations of sexual misconduct. Wright collected six Emmy nominations as Best Drama Actresss and two for being an executive producer on the show. Wright also earned directorial stripes while calling the shots behind the camera for 10 episodes as well.
That experience led her to make her directorial film debut with “Land,” in which she played Edee, a woman filled with suicidal thoughts after suffering a tragic personal loss. She decides to go off the grid while moving into a grungy cabin in amongst the scenic mountains of Wyoming. Her attempts to chop wood, hunt...

Jared Leto Alexander Movie Scene ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Jared Leto has been in Hollywood for decades, playing everything from real-life criminals to rock stars and, yes, even comic book villains. But despite his versatility, one of his most financially successful films was also one of his biggest failures.
Alexander (2004) may have had an all-star cast, a legendary director, and a massive budget, but it bombed at the box office. And yet, somehow, it still ranked among Leto’s highest-grossing movies.
Before winning an Oscar, Leto was a My So-Called Life heartthrob. He thrived in dark roles, stealing scenes in Fight Club, American Psycho, and Requiem for a Dream, before Panic Room, Lord of War, and his wild Suicide Squad Joker.

Hollywood really loves its legacy sequels or legacy sequels. However you want to call them, and they generally entail getting classic band members back together, now old, to train a new generation to lead the franchise and brand into the future without them. It’s happened with “Star Wars,” “Creed,” “Top Gun: Maverick,” and “Blade Runner 2049,” to name a few.
