Excellent look at art and Banksy's effect on the world, art and otherwise

This is a very much needed title, historically, in looking at the subject of Banksy. This is the most information containing documentary I have seen on the subject.. There are interviews with collaborators, people who have met him, (some maybe?) Friends etc. It also contains an amazing array of works by Banks, speculation into why art costs what it does, reactions of the people who have encountered the work and encountered the person as he works. This is the only documentary I have seen that does not sensationalize the mess but takes an honest artistic look at the man the work and the mystery. You should look out for the UK edition. The artwork on the cover is very special.

A Real Documentary
JosephBiden29 December 2022
Those who are casually acquainted with exit through the gift shop (and loved it) are going to have a hard time watching this documentary film. Unlike exit through the gift shop, which is purely a film made for entertainment value, this is a real documentary no different than the ones you would've watched in grade school.

The filmmaker talks to multiple individuals within the institutional art world, who have personally worked with Banksy. It focuses on how Banksy has been able to disrupt/manipulate the institutional art market by maintaining his anonymity while leaving his work in locations no graffiti artist would dare.
