An oddly interlocked episode with the various issues-Romeo and Indi's faltering romance, Ruby's feelings for him, Casey's difficulties at home and at school-feeding into each other.Indigo and Nicole get some more brilliant girls' talk scenes, something this show is starting to excel at, with them both admitting that they're feeling somewhat "frustrated".Casey's storyline feels slightly undeveloped, with a Chinese whispers touch to the way Miles, Romeo and Casey manage to conspire to grab the wrong end of the stick. The sudden hook up between Ruby and Casey does come out of nowhere and it's hard to know how to take it.
Standing slightly alone, although it still links up to Indigo's plot line, is Dexter's blog.Marilyn rather bizarrely jumps to the conclusion that he wants a sex change. It's hard to know what to make of Sid here, he is genuinely caring about trying to make sense of Dexter's behaviour but, when he learns what's really going on, he is slightly inconsiderate, if nowhere near as bad as a week or so ago.
