Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Several people get shot. Nothing too graphic, though. There is violence - since it's a war movie. Quite a bit of blood from wounds, but again, it's not a gore fest by any means.
  • Some blood detail when shooting occurs.
  • Most of the violence and action sequences don't happen until the final 40 mins or so, and when it does, there is very minimal gore and blood.

Profanity

  • 9 f-words.
  • 18 uses of sh--
  • 3 Uses of Jesus
  • 1 Use of Christ
  • Some uses of GD
  • The movie is quite tame in terms of profanity for an R-rated film.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Definitely some intense battle scenes and a few submarine evading detection scenes are particularly suspenseful. Edge of your seat type of suspense in some cases. But nothing "scary." Shoot outs are intense and sometimes bloody.
  • Not frightening at all but very intense and suspenseful.
  • The battles aren't very graphic even though it's an R rated action movie and when gore occurs, it's pretty brief and not over the top at all.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • The only few signs of gore we see are when 3 men are shot, while only one is gory-he gets shot in the head and blood splatters on what seems to be a helmet, when a bunch of people are shot in the head and the camera zooms into the wounds showing blood and gore spurting and when a man falls from a building caused by an explosion and hits his head, he is seen laying in a pool of blood as a bunch of it pours out.
