This kinda sucked

Warning: Spoilers
I live in this town, Holly and ngl it was weird seeing my town in a movie. The only problem I had with it is that holly is much bigger then just that part of the town. That is downtown Holly but there is so much more than just that. Holly is such a fun town and our town definitely focuses on the historic part, but that train station has been out of use for years. I wish they showed a lot more of the rest of Holly because it is such a great town. AND THE ALMOST THE WHOLE CAST AND CREW WAS FROM MICHIGAN AND NO ONE TOLD ME I COULD START MY ACTING CAREER HERE. LIKE I WANT TO BE AN ACTRESS AND NO ONE TOLD ME!!!

Also the acting 10/10......if this was Twilight.

Maybe the worst ever

First off, I don't know how movies like this even get to production. It's absolutely atrocious and it may be the worst most poorly acted Christmas movie I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot of poorly active Christmas movies.

Now enter handsome hunky army guy, Luke, who wants to be a firefighter. First, coming fresh out of the army would not have hair that long. Production values here are virtually nonexistent. You don't just get out of the military and walk into the fire dept. To hear, you're hired. Now shut up and take your shirt off. If you any to see that just google his name shirtless. Wow.

Why are all the firefighters standing around socializing in full gear. I don't think that ever happens.

Honestly, I don't even know where else to go with this. Suffice to say that it's awful and I don't know if I can sit through the whole thing.

Anyway. Here's a list to ponder:

Wow what a great flick! (spoiler free)

Wow what a great flick!

I will be honest, I did have this hyped up for me a lot over the last few months and I am often let down when I see over hyped movies (King Kong), but this one lives up to it!

I LOVE Christmas and Christmas movies and I also love light-hearted romance movies and I always wondered why Hollywood has not made a movie where there is BOTH Christmas and Romance. Well here it is FINALLY!

There is a lot of great Christmas Scenery (Santa, Trees, and even a real Reindeer) as well at Romantic elements (Relationships, Love, and kiss) all packed into one movie and I wouldn't be surprised to see other films trying to replicate this in the future.

I don't want to spoil any of the story but lets just say that the there is a Christmas setting and there is both love and magic in the air. (Anyone who has seen the movie will know what I mean).

There is no cursing or other dirty things in it so you can watch it with the whole family. There are horses and some people are afraid of those so be warned but nothing scary happens in the movie.

I give this ten bags of popcorn (out of ten). I will watch this every Christmas from now on

Full transparency, I was the writer of the screenplay for the film, but I DID NOT let that effect this rating in anyway because I had a head injury over the summer and have no recollection of writing it. This is a completely objective review.

Very entertaining holiday movie!

Cupid's Christmas is a well made, funny, entertaining and heart-warming holiday movie. It's also well-acted and thought-provoking. The stars have good chemistry between one another for the as well.

This is a Michigan-based production, and those from the area will be able to recognize all of the great scenery and sheer majestic beauty of the areas where this was filmed. Almost no other state other than Michigan could have captured the spirit of Christmas better for the production values of this movie.

I definitely highly recommend watching this for those who enjoy holiday movies as well as independent cinema. You won't be disappointed.

10/10 free hot chocolates

Warning: Spoilers
I stumbled upon this film accidentally on Kanopy, my library's streaming service. I allow myself one Christmas movie a year, as a treat. This movie was perfect.

I'm from Iowa and the movie was set in Michigan. It really captured the midwest spirit. At times it felt like the script was written by AI, for example when the main character said, "fundraisings," but this did not take away from my enjoyment whatsoever.

My favorite parts were (minor spoilers):
  • When the horses were in love and Luke congratulated the boy horse
  • The Invocation at the fundraiser (dark magics)

Room for improvement:
  • The grandma needed to be wearing socks in her barefoot scene (for modesty)
  • Needed more Valerie
  • Unresolved mysteries regarding the girl on the horse in the opening scene

Overall, genuinely loved it and am thinking about recommending it to my friends.
