Contrary to popular belief, the series is not the first Real Housewives franchise to feature Latina Housewives. Jo de la Rosa, who is Peruvian, was a cast member of The Real Housewives of Orange County from seasons 1-2, therefore being the first Latina Housewife in addition to being one of five original Housewives of the series that led to multiple spin-offs including Miami.
In the season 1 intro, the cast members are seen holding champagne flutes. From season 2 onwards, the cast members are seen holding mojitos. The champagne flutes were later used in the intro for The Real Housewives of Potomac (2016).
