Kevin, Paul, and Chad cover the 1997 Goosebumps book Don't Go To Sleep!, a story about a reality hopping dork who just wants to sleep in his guest bed. That's the hero's journey for this book-- dude wants to nap on a sleep number. We also discuss the process of welcoming Kevin, Franklin the bus driver and his many kids, BiBs, and Jumpers. The Blob That Ate Everyone has arguably one the best Goosebumps covers, with one of the best taglines, but... is it one of the best stories? No. It really isn't. Long ago in the early days of Goosebuds we read this book. But while Chad covered the book on an earlier episode with Dom and guest Dodger, Paul and Kevin never got to talk about it. They have things to say. This book is still one of R.L.'s greatest works, and it was thrilling to discuss it. This is a big summer for Fear Street. We're in the midst of three feature films dropping on Netflix, telling a story spanning multiple centuries and horror movie tropes. The Goosebuds Boys Chad, Paul, and Kevin talk about the first film: Leigh Janiak's Fear Street 1994. We have protagonist/angry-ex Deena, passive object-of-affection Sam, cheerleader/valedictorian/driven drug-seller Kate, self-loving goof Simon, and our token nerd Josh. You hear that bell? School is back in session. Kevin, Chad, and Paul hang out and discuss this late entry into the core Goosebumps collection. While none of us recall this book from our youth, this one rocks. It's bursting with ideas including dead child statues, roaming packs of wild dogs, tall goth girls, cease-fire proms, sideways elevators, evil photographers and The Pit.

We did it, boys and ghouls. This marks us covering every book in the main Goosebumps series. We share the honor with thousands of 90s kid who binge read these things to earn Pizza Hut Book It points. We're gonna take a day to congratulate ourselves and then dive back into the good work as R.L. is still pumping out stories and he only grows in power. This tale of giant sea creatures is certainly no Haunted School but it's a fitting tale to cap R.L's original 62 books as it's filled with pranks, fake outs, marine vore, and a big womp womp of a joke ending. We hope you enjoy it as much as Billy loved diving into that jellyfish.

Hot damn is this a fun episode of fall television. Chad, Paul, and Kevin revisit the Nickelodeon classic (and arguably the best thing they've ever produced) The Adventures of Pete and Pete and this anti-capitalist story about the extinction of bears, the nirvana of a perfect golf swing, and the freedom of a fur suit. Chad, Paul, and Kevin read this fourth Living Dummy tale about Slappy's shot at love, which mostly involves Slappy negging his paramours and calling them 'slave'. The boys roleplay as a young plagiarist whisked away to a writers' convention in a woodland cabin that also is run by werewolves? In this episode the G-Boys discuss this Goosebumps 2000 story about a monstrous teacher who will eat a student with the worst performance at the school talent show. To be fair, it's really not much worse than our current-day American education system. Mrs. Maaargh is a fantastic R.L. Stine monster and she quickly munches her way into our collective hearts. The Goosebuds boys are back to review another of R.L. Stine's short story collections: the holiday-themed More and More and More Tales to Give You Goosebumps (Special Edition #6). Once Paul, Kevin, and Chad get past the confusing title sequencing and multiple Curlys on the cover (which one is real?!?) this becomes a pretty fun and frosty episode. They cover ten short stories including Nutmares, Kooshball Gremlins, endless ballet performances, Ice Vampires, holiday bimbofications, and our first hard-confirmed Goosebumps ghost writer. To commemorate the end of 2021 we return to The Adventures of Pete and Pete's "New Year's Pete".
