Fabulouse Canadian Show

I can't believe that I just discovered this show and it's in Season 4 already. I think it's hilarious. I love the choice of characters, some of which are kind of oddballs and many of which would most certainly never have the others as friends. You also get to see some very cool as well as some very gross recipes and cooking.

I have to give huge credit to the narrator. He makes half the show. His continual comments are extremely witty and hilarious. Once you start watching one episode you cannot leave the TV or switch the channel until you watch them all ie all 5 contestants in order to see who will win. Not just who will win but who will do the craziest things and make the craziest comments. A lot of words are bleeped out LOL. I just love this show.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

I wish Come Dine With Me Canada had zanier characters like the British version. Also, why does every diner feel compelled to give a pretentious review about the food? Why can they not show crazy (or boring!) dinner party conversation, rather than pan the camera to each person as they give their self serving criticism! I think the producers have set up the show this way, and it makes for boring television.

The best part of the show is when they show the food prep, where all the players seem to be at their most natural selves, and you see both the good and the bad of how they cook. And it's great to see players who give high marks for a good evening, rather than marking low just to protect their own chances of winning.

Looking forward to the show where a bunch of "losers" compete against each other, now that should be funny!
