Buffalo, New York’s award-winning DefTone Pictures Studios has been busy this year. In addition to releasing controversial grindhouse series Black Guy on a Rampage and commencing its upcoming epic alien invasion film Ombis, they've announced a secret weapon: Caged.
From the Press Release:
Do you ever wonder how the first zombie is created? Caged promises to tell that story. Caged stars Robert Bozek (Slime City Massacre, The Final Night and Day) and Patrick Mallett (Black Guy on a Rampage, The Final Night and Day). Mr. March (Bozek) wakes up, locked in a cage, suffering from temporary amnesia. As he tries to figure out his surroundings, the events of the past hours begin to haunt him in a series of flashbacks. Mr. March tries to pull the clues together to get out of the cage alive: a biohazard canister, blood sprayed against the walls, and a dead body nearby on the floor.

A second teaser has arrived for alien invasion flick Ombis coming in October, 2013, from DefTone Pictures Studios, and while it doesn't show a lot, it does set a pretty nice tone for what we can expect.
Synopsis:
Ombis is a 1950’s style alien invasion film in which a life form crash lands in Metsburgh, a village whose glory days are long past. It begins to infect the townsfolk, making them host to a supernatural virus whose sole purpose is to replicate itself. But the virus is not the only thing that has invaded this small community. A creature known as the “Nemesis” has also arrived in an attempt to contain the alien plague that originated from its home planet. It is up to a small group of uninfected survivors to fight the invasion and make it out alive.
Ombis is based on a short story by Adam R. Steigert and was written by Steigert,...
