- Several aircraft are attacked by surface-to-air missiles.
- An intense dogfight scene is shown.
- The aircraft sequences as a whole are quite intense.

Violence & Gore
- An enemy's helicopter tries to shoot Maverick with a machine gun. Rooster blows up the helicopter and Maverick wasn't shot
- Pilots are subjected to the wear and tear of flying fighter planes. One pilot blacks out from experiencing 9Gs of force, with close up shots of his passed out face, and almost crashes his plane. He recovers at the last second
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Rooster is also shot down moments later defending a defenseless Maverick. He also survives.
- A pilot passes out due to the G-force and nearly crashes.
- A pilot and navigator are forced to eject due to an aircraft issue caused by a birdstrike.
- Some emotional moments between Iceman and Maverick. Iceman has throat cancer and struggles to speak. He dies, and we see his funeral is very emotional
