Bad Very Bad

This film is very bad . Meher Ramesh did not think about the logics in the proceedings , the movie starts with an illogical scene of Egypt villians and the second half of the film is over the top and the climax is disgusting .

Routine Action Sequence.

A cheap film witnessed, But NTR acted very well as usual

Actually when I was started watching this film, after 10 mins I started vomiting!! No plot, routine action sequences, wastage of characters, poor vfx.. Not convincing at all.. A cheap film like cheap films of Bfi!! Only positive is NTR's acting.. as usual he acted very nice ,accuracy is 100% but it is not his fault.. that is producer and director's fault for making and producing this kind of crap film.. so sorry.

My advice: just watch the first half

I give the first half of this film full marks. Sadly, halfway through it becomes a completely different story.

In the beginning we spend time with NTR jr as an arrogant tour guide. He's hilarious. The heroine is feisty. Her friends are a blast. Sadly in the later half she is given nothing to do. The movie becomes a little too heavy on religious themes, the humour vanishes, and the friends kind of diappear as well. It's a shame because I think NTR jr is at his most charming when he is given comedic material. Yes, he nails drama too, but the script wasn't engaging enough to make part 2 interesting, even with the capable actors.

I gave up trying to make sense of the Egyptian antagonists. Probably best not to think about it too much. Much was done with cgi, but given how bad it looks I wonder why they didn't cut those parts, or try to go for more practical effects.

I had trouble following the tonal jumps. One moment we're clowning around with two lovely characters, the next these innocents get brutally murdered.

I wish this film could have remained within the confines of an excellent road trip film with exciting hang gliding action sequences.

To end on a positive note: the songs are amazing. The dancing is some of my favourite from any Indian film. (There's a cowboy type number that was so fun.)

Time is very precious! Don't waste it!

Here are a few negatives right away 1) Idiotic stunts, 2) idiotic script with 99% flaws, 3) pathetic acting, 4) pathetic background score, 5) waste of characters.

You don't need so much money to make a movie like this. All you need is to bring all the characters together and ask them to run helter-skelter speaking whatever comes to their minds. The result. Shakti !!! Wonder what the director was thinking.

The irony is that the movie has some good actors who have a great name in the film industry. Magadheera was believable in that it showed a gap of 400 years and that time there were kings and queens who invaded other territories on horses, used swords etc. This one is pathetic. 27 years ago there were Egyptian kings interested in invading India? You've got to be kidding! Each scene is nonsense and the whole movie is just madness

A big disaster for telugu film industry

In the film Shakti, Pragati offers her husband Sayaji Shinde who's panting and puffing on the treadmill a glass of milk. Ileana freaks out on a cup of hot tea in the desert, we'd recommend the audience to drink either of them or err perhaps a bottle of chilled water to sit through the 15 reels of Shakti. Water will just revive you from unconsciousness but some tender coconut water will replenish you with some Shakti, the electrolytes.

Now that one has been warned let's know what Shakti's all about. It is synonymous with power, with strength and anything omnipotent. With such a heavy title and a cash rich producer who is dedicated and passionate about translating the inanimate stuff to reality on screen, the director is a really lucky man. The director too is known for his style that he displayed in Kantri and Billa but did he learn from his mistakes from those two movies or did he pick up some not to do's from Khaleja that played with saints and a superficial story line? Did he remember to put that soul and not get carried away by the attractive and wonderful packaging?

Its a very boring and idiotic movie.Do not watch.Don't waste your time and money.

An underrated gem!

I think this film deserved and still deserves a lot more praise. Shakti is an entertaining mix of outstanding action sequences, epic scale production values, gorgeous visuals and an intriguing plot. Both halves were well-balanced. There's something unusually attractive about this film that makes me want to watch this film again and again!

Jr NTR is impressive, especially in the action sequences and songs. His dance is an absolute treat! Ileana has a balanced character and she does a good job. Others such as Nassar, Prabhu and Sayaji Shinde are also very impressive. The production values really need to be praised as this film has been told as an epic and it succeeds in being what it wants to be: a fun action entertainer. All action sequences are simply breathtaking. Music is also good.

The film might not have received a great response back in 2011, but it still deserves to be seen, loved and remembered. Shakti is a highly entertaining action fantasy film that offers ample entertainment and is totally worth your time.
