Star Wars star Mark Hamill and Stranger Things breakout Noah Schnapp have boarded the voice cast of feature animation Hallowaiian: Adventure Hawaii.
They join the previously announced Teilor Grubbs and Mark Dacascos (both Hawaii Five-o alumni) with Tia Carrere (Wayne’s World) and Kiefer O’Reilly (Howard Lovecraft).

– Cardiff Animation Nights will be returning to run a dedicated animation strand at Cardiff Independent Film Festival (C.I.F.F.) for a second year this May. This year’s animation strand at C.I.F.F. will comprise three programs of animated short films in competition for the Best Animation Award, as well as an Animated Family Shorts program curated by renowned Cardiff-based studio Cloth Cat Animation, networking events, and an Animation Quiz run by the team at Skwigly Animation Magazine.
The competition program features animated short films from across Europe, Asia, North America, South America and Australia, including Mikey Hill’s The Orchestra, Anete Melece’s Analysis Paralysis, Chris Shepherd’s Johnno’s Dead, Ross Hogg’s Life Cycles and Alois Di Leo’s Way of Giants.

Vancouver-based Arcana Animation Studio has sold animated feature Pixies to Beijing-based Lemongrass Media, which picked up theatrical and ancillary rights for mainland China. The film has also gone to Newcontents for Korea and Pnmeg for Vietnam.
Written and directed by Arcana founder and CEO Sean Patrick O’Reilly, the film features voice talents including Christopher Plummer, Alexa Vega and Bill Paxton.
Arcana has also sold animation Howard Lovecraft And The Frozen Kingdom to Abs-cbn for the Philippines.
A fictionalised account of the life of author Hp Lovecraft, the film is the first in a planned trilogy based on top-selling graphic novels. Voice talent includes Jane Curtin, Christopher Plummer and Rob Perlman. Shout Factory has rights for the Us and Lionsgate for the UK.

Shout! Factory and Vancouver-based Arcana Studios have inked a North American distribution deal for the forthcoming animated film "Howard Lovecraft and the Frozen Kingdom," the companies announced today. Based on Bruce Brown's popular graphic novel, the film, written, directed, and produced by Sean Patrick O'Reilly ("Pixies"), will receive multi-platform U.S. and Canadian releases from Shout! Factory in 2016. The timely acquisition capitalizes on the current vogue for big-screen comic book adaptations, as well as renewed interest in author H.P. Lovecraft, whose work inspired a thicket of allusions in the first season HBO's "True Detective." The graphic novel introduces Lovecraft's particular brand of eerie fiction—including the famed book of magic known as the Necronomicon—to a new generation, following young Howard through a portal and into a dangerous frozen world, where he befriends a monster named Spot.
