Contrived and unconvincing "thriller"
lor_15 November 2020
Brad Armstrong tries hard but fails miserably in this "guy being drawn into jeopardy" thriller, thanks to a lousy screenplay that goes, as is often the case, uncredited.

He and wife Jessica Drake are at a party when they're approached by a couple of swingers (Kaylani Lei and Derrick Pierce). Against their better judgment they take the pair home with them for wife-swapping and group sex, falling into the grifters' trap.

For a movie in this con-game genre to work it's necessary for the innocents letting themselves be drawn into dangerous behavior seem to be credible. But at every turn each of them, mainly Brad, quickly give into temptation - not because their characters would conceivably do such a thing but merely to follow the porno imperative to get on with the all-important next XXX scene.

For example, Kaylani pops up at Brad's law office suddenly, urging him to have sex with his secretary Chanel Preston so that she can watch and join in. As the scene develops, one expects Brad to object and later Chanel to cry "sexual harassment" but instead both go along with Lei as if this was the most natural thing to do.

Matters keep escalating, with Randy Spears cast as Brad's fixer failing to protect him, with even Brad's daughter, cute Amia Miley, drawn into the plot. Ending is particularly dumb, and even less convincing than what's gone on before.
