Kids say the darndest things, even to royalty. During a visit to Scotland, Kate Middleton — and Prince William — experienced this firsthand. For the Princess of Wales, at least, it wasn’t the first time in 2023. The three words Kate said in response to being asked, “Who are you?” Plus, the “tricky” question fielded by her husband, the Prince of Wales.
Kate identified herself as ‘William’s wife’ when a child in Scotland didn’t recognize her
The fame that comes with her future queen status just might, on occasion, go to Kate’s head. However, schoolchildren were quick to remind the 41-year-old that not everyone knows she’s British royalty.
While visiting the towns of Moray and Inverness, Scotland, Kate and William, who are known by their Scottish titles of Duke and Duchess of Rothesay while in the country, met with children at Burghead Primary School.

Exclusive: Broadway casting director Duncan Stewart, whose big-name clients include the Tony-winning Hadestown, the new Life of Pi and the acclaimed The Great Comet of 1812, is dissolving his Stewart/Whitley agency after 14 years to head up the new casting arm of global live event company Rws Entertainment Group.
Rws’ new casting division will be called Arc, and will mine talent for theater, film, television and commercial projects. With the establishment of Arc, Rws’ old casting division, Binder Casting, will, like Stewart/Whitley, dissolve.
Stewart co-founded Stewart/Whitley with Benton Whitley in 2009. Whitley has not yet announced his plans.
The new venture was announced today by Rws. Arc will be based in New York and London.
Stewart, along with casting directors and associates from both Stewart/Whitley and Binder, will maintain current clients of both agencies, including Life of Pi, long-running shows Disney’s The Lion King and Chicago the Musical,...

The wait is almost over, “Psych” fans. Among the many offerings that will be available when NBCUniversal’s new streaming service, Peacock, launches nationwide Wednesday is “Psych 2: Lassie Come Home,” the long-awaited sequel to “Psych: The Movie.”
Now, seeing as it’s been a while since the first “Psych” film debuted on USA Network in December 2017 — and even longer since the detective dramedy series ended its eight season run in 2014 — we’re willing to bet that even the most die-hard fans don’t remember exactly where we left things with Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dulé Hill). Well, don’t worry, because we’re here to recap it all for you so that you’re fully prepared for the premiere of “Psych 2: Lassie Come Home” tomorrow.
Ok, so “Psych: The Movie” takes place three years after the series finale, with Shawn, Gus and Juliet (Maggie Lawson) still living in San Francisco,...

From Thomas F Wilson in Back To The Future to Nicolas Cage and John Travolta in Face/Off - when actors play multiple roles...
The dramatic use of actors playing multiple characters is a bold and rather theatrical device that has its ups and downs. It goes at least as far back as Captain Hook being played by the same actor who plays the Darling children's father in stage productions of Peter Pan, a technique largely adopted in film adaptations of the story, too (hello to Jason Isaacs).
It's used a lot in cinema too. Done well, it's impressive, but when it's bad, it's Jack & Jill. Whether used in comedy or drama or outright horror, there are countless examples of actors delivering terrific performances in more than one role at once, and that's before we even get past Cloud Atlas. Still, we've had a go at totting up 25 of the best.

Sushi Girl is a delicious film; it perfectly shows why independent cinema is where my heart lies. The film is unusual, it's raw, it's funny, it's gory and it is a damn good time. My experience with watching this film is possibly the most unique one I have ever had.
I met some of the cast Noah Hathaway, James Duval and Andy Mackenzie and the director Kern Saxton at Supanova Expo, after chatting to them I made the promise I'd watch the film that night and return the next day to discuss it. So the very next day I got to discuss the film with those guys again, and also Tony Todd. What a thrill that was, chances like that don't come by often. It was a real pleasure to tell them all I loved the film, nothing beats the smiles and energy that comes with that.

Tony Todd's resume is extensive and diverse. He's credited with everything from gruesome horror films to voiceover work in children's cartoons and appearances in video games. His 20+-year career has been incredible, and he recently sat down with Dread Central to talk about his newest project, Sushi Girl.

Well, imagine if instead of coffee and breakfast on the table there was a fully naked woman with sushi placed all over her entire body, and you’ve essentially encapsulated what it’s like to watch Sushi Girl. Unconvinced? Well, here’s the plot synopsis:
The story follows a band of diamond thieves after a heist gone horribly wrong. One of the gang members, Fish (Noah Hathaway), was arrested and spent six years in prison. The ringleader, Duke (Tony Todd), suspects Fish of hiding the loot for himself and away from the group (which includes Andy Mackenzie, James Duval, and Mark Hamill himself). We are now a week into the three week long Fantasia Film Festival, and while we admittedly have been a little behind due to some technical issues with our website, we still managed to get a dozen film reviews published. Keep coming back to our site as we promise twice the amount of articles by the end of week two. In the meantime, here is a round-up of what we’ve seen and written about so far.

Comedy, in its nature and its presentation, has morphed dramatically over the past decade or so, both in North America and in Europe, in particular the United Kingdom. From the more overt, on the nose comedy of yesteryear we have now live in an era in which the comedy is delivered with a completely different version of wit.

USA 2012 Fantasia imdb
I saw Sushi Girl under almost perfect conditions: at the Fantasia Film Festival surrounded by more than 700 enthusiastic grindhouse film fans in the presence of the producer, director, writer and virtually the entire cast including Andy MacKenzie (Shoot ‘Em Up), James Duval (Donnie Darko), Noah Hathaway (Atreyu from The NeverEnding Story!), Michael Biehn (!!), Tony Todd (!!!), and Mark Hamill (Not! Enough! Exclamation! Marks! In! The! World!).
How crowded was the theatre? Former Fangoria editor (and longtime friend of Fantasia) Tony Timpone was asking people in the theatre to put their hands up if the seat next to them was vacant, so we could squeeze more people in.
What we saw was a film that is completely unapologetic about its influences and its existence as a artifact of almost pure fan service beginning with its insane cast.

Michael York dashes onto the cinematic scene as the blundering but very enthusiastic D'Artagnan in Richard Lester's hugely enjoyable period comic romp. The late great Roy Kinnear is the long-suffering vassal of aristocratic swordsmen Oliver Reed, Richard Chamberlain and Frank Finlay, whilst Raquel Welch and Faye Dunaway shine as heroine and villainess, respectively. Producers Alexander and Ilya Salkind filmed the following year's sequel back-to-back with this more successful first part, which approach they would revisit shortly for Superman and Superman II.
