House describes Wilson decorating his place like "Grey Gardens," a famous documentary from 1976 depicting two reclusive elderly women who live in a derelict mansion, basically representing Wilson as an old cat lady.
This isn't the first time in the series that someone spoils the ending of The Usual Suspects (1995); however, this time it's done by Foreman. House previously revealed the twist in Joy to the World (2008).
Foreman and Taub are playing the video game made by the developer that House and his team treated in Epic Fail (2009) from season six.
House says to Masters, "I think, as your people say, 'Quod Erat Demonstrandum,'" a Latin phrase meaning "that which was to be demonstrated" and referring to Masters' Ph.D. in applied mathematics. The abbreviation, QED, is used at the end of mathematical proofs to indicate their completion. House insinuated that he "proved" that men who don't have cats have sex.
Once Taub arrived at Foreman's apartment, he said he expected shag carpet because Foreman always seemed to have a kind of "Mod Squad" vibe about him. Omar Epps, who plays Foreman, also played the character Linc in The Mod Squad (1999).
