From the opening frames, you know you're in good directorial hands here. The cinematography, lighting, pace, and performances of the two leads is all brilliantly controlled by maestro Misko Iho, who so thoroughly deserves much wider exposure and acknowledgment of his work. The musical choice is also inspired (another of Misko's talents is matching perfect soundscapes to his visuals, as seen in his latest short, 'Smile'). This film has picked up a swathe of international nominations and awards, from BEST SHORT at the Byron Bay International Film Festival, Australia, to BEST INTERNATIONAL ACTOR for JANI VOLANEN at the Cinefiesta-Festival International de Cortometrajes de Puerto Rico. And more to come, I'm certain. The final plus is the neat twist at the end which is so seamless and natural. Brilliant, and beautiful. 9 out of 10.
