The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that during a recent episode, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) mentioned Las Vegas during a conversation with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman How Old Is He?). When Adam said 21 was his favorite number, Connor assumed it was because of gambling in Las Vegas.
The dialogue was interesting and seemed random. In soaps, though, nothing is random. So, let’s discuss what could lead from Connor and Adam’s discussion about Las Vegas.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman’s Favorite Number
Y&R spoilers reveal that Connor begged Adam to let him come home. Despite the pain that Adam could see his son was in, he kept sticking to the agreed plan.
During that conversation, Adam mentioned that his favorite number was 21. It was supposed to lift Connor’s spirits, but it led to some confusion and then an interesting conversation between the father and son.

The Dcu films in the Zack Snyder era were undoubtedly divisive among fans. The discourse around the films has mostly steered towards the negative side with many feeling underwhelmed by the undercooked narratives and the unsatisfying world-building. While there were bright spots such as Wonder Woman, Shazam!, and Aquaman, others were not received as well as the three.
Many DC films including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice are now streaming on Netflix
In addition to Max, Netflix also streamed most of the Dcu films of that era, making them accessible to people all over the world, especially in countries where Max is not available yet. Unfortunately, it seems Netflix is now removing various DC titles from its content by the end of March 2024.

The great shake-up in cable TV continues, with Warner Bros. Discovery’s TruTV the latest channel to be overhauled.
The channel, best known for its comedy and reality shows, will shift its primetime lineup to a new sports slate beginning this coming Monday, March 11.
Moving forward, TruTV will be home to exclusive live games (including games in the upcoming March Madness college basketball tournament and MotoGP races) as well as alternative broadcasts of NBA, MLB and NHL games on TNT and TBS. It will also simulcast some of those games, as well.
Alternative telecasts (like ESPN’s Monday Night Football “Manningcast” or Amazon’s Dude Perfect Thursday Night Football option) have become quite popular in recent years, as sports broadcasters seek to bring in new, younger fans to their live events. Leagues, likewise, support having more coverage of their games.

Dwayne Johnson starred in 2022’s Black Adam; a Dceu superhero movie based on the DC character of the same name. It was the eleventh movie in the Dceu and reportedly a spin-off to 2019’s Shazam! Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra from a screenplay by Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines, and Sohrab Noshirvani, Black Adam was one of the highly anticipated movies of 2022.
Upon its release, the movie received negative reviews from the critics and the audience becoming a box office bomb for the studios. However, one significant appearance from a former Dceu cast member had the audience excited about the movie and had them looking forward to its further development before the sequel was canceled. Black Adam producer Hiram Garcia touched upon how the movie was not a standalone project but more than that.

Following this, the People’s Champion took to X to unleash his fury on the 2024 Royal Rumble winner, Rollins, and the “Cody Crybabies.” He bashed the critics who have been long accusing him of using his power to get a WrestleMania match.

HanuMan Is Unstoppable At The Box Office(Photo Credit –IMDb)
Amid all the new releases from India, HanuMan has turned out to be the biggest surprise at the box office. It arrived in a clash with Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram. As expected, it got very few screens on the opening day. But ever since the positive word-of-mouth came into play, the film has been simply unstoppable. Keep reading to know more!
In India, the Teja Sajja starrer faced Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram initially, and now, two more films (Venkatesh’s Saindhav and Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga) have arrived as a major competition in the Telugu states. In the Hindi belt, there’s no competition as such with just Merry Christmas being the only fresh film playing in theatres.
HanuMan beats Guntur Kaaram!
While the response in India has been impressive, HanuMan is pulling off a real surprise in the overseas market.

Sundance Institute’s Documentary Fund will be supporting 23 selected independent documentary film projects this year through grants totaling over $1 million. This initiative has previously funded notable films including Oscar-nominated features “Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution,” “Minding the Gap” and “The Edge of Democracy.”
In addition to shrinking budgets for commissioned docuseries and one-offs, there has been a dramatic decline in distribution deals for indie docs, making the Sundance Institute grant vital to the nonfiction community. Especially to those filmmakers in the docu space working on social issue documentaries.
This year, the documentaries awarded grants explore a large breadth subject matters from around the world, telling stories about Indigenous People and Native Americans, transgender youth, secrets of a family’s lineage, people with disabilities and an untitled feature about Uvalde, Texas. Of the 23 films, six are in development, 14 are in production and three are in post-production.

Black Adam was a passion project for Dwayne Johnson. Dylan Sprouse has a fact check for his former costar Adam Sandler. During Sandler's press tour for his new movie "Murder Mystery 2," the 56-year-old star told Access that he'd recently run into Sprouse - who he starred with in 1999's "Big Daddy" - at "like 2 in a morning." On April 25, Access showed Dylan, 30, the same clip, and he had some jokes for his longtime friend.
"That clip is funny because I was just in Paris very briefly and I did see Adam, but it was not 2 a.m. It was 8 p.m.," Dylan explained. He joked, "He's just old. Like, dude, go to sleep. Adam, if 8 p.m. feels like 2 a.m., go to bed."
Dylan and his twin brother Cole (who stars as Jughead in "Riverdale") together played 5-year-old Julian in "Big Daddy," which was their acting debut.

Hulu’s list of new releases for April 2023 don’t feature many blockbusters, but if we dig a little, I’m sure we can find some gems.
Perhaps the most promising items are on the TV side of things. Tiny Beautiful Things premieres on April 7 and stars Kathryn Hahn as “a floundering writer who becomes a revered advice columnist while her own life is falling apart.” That will be followed by comedy Am I Being Unreasonable? on April 11 and two documentaries: high school football story Algiers, America (April 19) and Tupac Shakur piece Dear Mama (April 22).
The best TV candidate this month, however, is probably Saint X on April 26. This series, told via multiple timelines, “explores and upends the girl-gone-missing genre as it explores how a young woman’s mysterious death during an idyllic Caribbean vacation creates a traumatic ripple effect that eventually pulls her surviving sister into a dangerous pursuit of the truth.

Zachary Levi took to Instagram to clarify that he doesn’t blame Dwyane Johnson — or anyone — for nixing the originally planned post-credits scene in Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which would’ve seen Justice Society of America members inviting the sequel’s title character to join their group.

Halle Bailey addresses hateful and racist messages she received for her role in ‘The Little Mermaid’
Halle Bailey has once again addressed the “hateful and racist” messages she received over her role inThe Little Mermaid.
The 22-year-old actor’s casting sparked a racist backlash online from people who complained that she didn’t look like Disney’s original version of Ariel, who was drawn as white.
Addressing the criticism, Bailey told Edition magazine: “Seeing the world’s reaction to it was definitely a shock.
“But seeing all the babies’ reactions, all the brown and Black young girls, really tore me up emotionally,” she added.
When the trailer for the Disney film was released, many parents posted videos of their Black and non-white children reacting to the trailer.
“I think she’s brown,” said a little girl, in a video that has been liked over a million times.
She then sits up and brings her hand to her chest as she watches. “Brown Ariel. Brown Ariel is cute,...

Even if you’ve signed up for every streaming service out there, it can feel monumental when a title moves from one to another. In April, Netflix mainstay “New Girl” moves to Hulu; still streaming, but not where fans are used to finding it — like rearranging the furniture in your apartment and waking up surprised every day that the couch is over there now.
But what’s important is that “New Girl” lives on, now joining Hulu’s own TV and movie library and originals from Freeform, FX, National Geographic, and more. Later in the month, Leila Gerstein’s “Saint X” — based on the novel by Alexis Schaitkin — premieres with three episodes, recounting the story of a young girl found dead during a family vacation and the sister piecing it together years later. Alycia Debnam-Carey, Josh Bonzie, West Duchovny, Jayden Elijah, Bre Francis, Kenlee Anaya Townsend, Betsy Brandt, and Michael Park star.

Truth, justice, and — hopefully — a better DC Studios. James Gunn will officially direct Superman: Legacy from a script he himself is writing.
The filmmaker was hired to pen the screenplay before being brought on as DC Studios co-head alongside producer/talent manager Peter Safran. The duo were tasked with overhauling the flailing DC Extended Universe, and announced their plans for a new series of interconnected stories back in the end of January. Superman: Legacy was tapped to kick off what’s being dubbed “Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters,” with a target release of July 11th, 2025.
Gunn was long expected to helm the project, but was only confirmed in the role today (via The Hollywood Reporter). He confirmed the news on Twitter, revealing that he hadn’t realized the planned release date was his late father’s birthday. “I lost my Dad almost three years ago. He was my best friend,...

Adam Driver has a movie critic living at home.
While appearing on Thursday night’s episode of “Late Night with Seth Meyers”, the 39-year-old Academy Award nominee admitted that his 6-year-old son isn’t a massive fan of watching his new movie “65” or anyone else’s for that matter.
Driver explained that one big reason he signed onto his new movie “65”, which features a lot of dinosaurs and laser guns because his son was so into dinosaurs while they were quarantining during the Covid-19 lockdowns.

“65,” out this week, stars Adam Driver as an ancient space explorer who crash lands on a primeval planet Earth. Of course, given that the story takes place 65 million years ago, Driver aren’t alone. They are being stalked by fearsome reptilian predators, who don’t care about his spaceship or his fancy laser gun.
When TheWrap spoke to Driver and Greenblatt about “65,” we had to ask them what their favorite dinosaur movie was (besides “65” of course). You can watch the video above.

Set in Scotland in 1994, the new comic book series The Nasty answers this compelling question with blood-splattered results as it follows 18-year-old Graeme “Thumper” Connell, who enjoys watching notorious "video nasties" with his friends in The Murder Club, until one night when they come across a cursed videotape that just might bring its cinematic nightmares to lethal life.

The first Magic Mike is a messy drama of mentorship, bound up in notions of masculinity. In the shadow of the financial crash, with a then 30-year-old Mike taking lessons from Matthew McConaughey's Dallas and providing wisdom to Alex Pettyfer's Adam. His goal then was to bring together enough to start a business, so he won't be a 40-year-old stripper.
He failed.
That's unfair. In a voiceover that feels as much of school essay as exposition he's described as a millennial but however buff Channing Tatum might be he's still on the demographic side of that cohort described as 'geriatric'. In this, his Last Dance, he's given a further chance to reinvent himself with his own mission serving as a proxy for others' emotional conflicts.
Mike is picking up work as a bartender. That's a not uncommon second job in film; he shares it with Leonard from The Knock At The Cabin.

When we first heard about the upcoming "65," all we officially knew about the project was its rather vague title, the fact that Adam Driver was installed as the lead, and that the story would follow an astronaut who "crash lands on a mysterious planet only to discover he's not alone." That's it! Upon the release of that glorious first trailer, however, it quickly became clear why Sony was being so coy about this movie. Now, however, the secret's out -- it's basically "Planet of the Apes" by way of "Jurassic Park" and I mean that as the highest possible compliment -- and the film's marketing machine is free to lean into the dino-heavy action as much as they like.
And oh, what dinosaur action there is. Honestly, there's something incredibly endearing about a star like Adam Driver signing on to a movie as schlocky and silly as this one looks to be.

Even weeks after new Warner Bros. CEO David Zaslav abruptly canceled the nearly-completed Batgirl movie, people are having a variety of reactions. Michael Keaton, who was slated to reprise his role as Batman in the movie, seemed fairly nonchalant when asked about it at the Emmy Awards. “I think it was a business decision; I’m going to assume it was a good one.,” he told TVLine. Directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have received support and encouragement from a variety of filmmakers, including Edgar Wright and Kevin Feige. But perhaps the best reaction has come from a more unofficial source.

Following a flurry of headlines over the past week, the hottest ticket at this year’s Venice Film Festival is now almost certainly set to be the press conference for Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling. Assuming Wilde shows up alongside her lead Florence Pugh and co-star Harry Styles (who THR has confirmed will attend, although, perhaps surprisingly, he is only a minor player in this story), it’s likely to be more intensely scrutinized than anything else happening on the Lido.

After years of development, “BioShock”, the 2007 first-person shooter video game is being developed as a new live-action movie, to be directed by Francis Lawrence, for streaming on Netflix:
“…incorporating ideas by 20th century dystopian and utopian thinkers Ayn Rand, George Orwell, and Aldous Huxley, as well as historical figures John D. Rockefeller and Walt Disney, the game sees the player guide ‘Jack’, after his airplane crashes in the ocean near the ‘bathysphere terminus’ that leads to the underwater city of ‘Rapture’.
“Built by the business magnate ‘Andrew Ryan’, the city was intended to be an isolated utopia, but the discovery of ‘Adam’, a genetic material which can be used to grant superhuman powers, initiated the city's turbulent decline.
“Jack tries to find a way to escape, fighting through hordes of Adam-obsessed enemies, and the iconic, deadly ‘Big Daddies’, while engaging with the few sane humans that remain and eventually learning of Rapture's past.

Dwayne Johnson says he lobbied to split the origin stories for Black Adam and Shazam into two separate movies after seeing the first draft of Shazam!‘s script.
In a preview of the upcoming DC movie Black Adam in Vanity Fair, the film’s star and producer took at least partial responsibility for the decision to split the films.

Dwayne Johnson has been welcomed into the DC universe with open arms. Who can blame them, as the megastar has generated around 12 billion globally with multiple franchises. A hulking physique like his is undoubtedly made for superhero films, and he will finally make his comic book movie debut with Black Adam in theaters this fall. Black Adam was a long road to the screen, but it actually could’ve been a lot sooner for him because it was initially written that Black Adam was the villain in the first Shazam movie.
IndieWire reports on a recent interview Johnson had with Vanity Fair, where it was revealed that he did not want one movie to cram two origin stories for two different superhero characters, especially since they’re so different. Johnson explains,

Considering Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s status as one of the world’s biggest action stars, many find it surprising that he’s waited this long to star in a comic book movie franchise. While the former wrestler likely could have had his pick of superhero parts in the past, he has always had his eye on one particular role: Black Adam. Johnson was first linked to the role a decade ago when he entered talks to play the villain in the movie that eventually became 2019’s “Shazam!”
Black Adam and Shazam have always been foes in the comic books, having received their superpowers from the same wizard. To many, a movie with the two of them facing off seemed like a natural fit. Netflix has halted production of The Witcher season three due to Covid-19.
The news comes amid unconfirmed online rumors that star Henry Cavill tested positive for the virus, but the streamer is only saying that filming has “paused due to Covid and we will be up and running as soon as it is safe to do so.” Cavill’s rep also declined to comment.
This isn’t the first time the U.K.-based production has had to shut down due the virus, with the show previously halting filming on season two in 2020.
The news comes on the heels of last week’s San Diego Comic-Con, where fans wondered if the Superman actor might make an appearance for DC’s Shazam! and Black Adam panels, then booed when Adam star Dwayne Johnson...

Hair and makeup artists are at it again, transforming actors into real-life characters. From the sublime to complete, Jared Leto, Jessica Biel, Lily James, Sebastian Stan and Renée Zellweger were among those being trans- formed and techniques including 3D scans of the artist are de rigueur now.
Suits, enhancements and a lot of prosthetics went into helping actors disappear into their parts.
Leto is no stranger to the art of transformation. Last year, he vanished under layers of prosthetics to play Paolo Gucci in Ridley Scott’s “House of Gucci.” For “WeCrashed” on Apple TV+, Leto worked with Kazu Hiro, who helped him become WeWorked founder Adam Neumann.
Hiro, who has won Oscars for his makeup and hairstyling turn- ing Gary Oldman into Winston Churchill for “Darkest Hour” and again for Charlize Theron into Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly for “Bombshell,” it’s all about sculpting techniques. His challenge...

“I don’t think you ever have to be fearful when you’re writing a film,” says Moroccan filmmaker Maryam Touzani ahead of the premiere of her second feature “The Blue Caftan” in Un Certain Regard.
Following the relationship between husband and wife Halim and Mina who have kept Halim’s homosexuality a secret for many years, the film takes an important stand against the homophobia of Morocco and its anti-lgtbq laws. “In Morocco, homosexuality is illegal and I don’t have words to describe how it makes me feel. As a human being, that’s something I cannot accept,” Touzani says.
She adds: “I don’t know what the reactions are going to be to the film and it could be very complicated, but in any case I think when there is a real belief in the stories you’re telling the rest doesn’t matter.”
