Sex & Nudity

  • Al and Madonna flirt and make out with each other. She is clothed, he is shirtless on the bed. Nothing inappropriate is seen, although it is implied later that they had sex. In another scene, they kiss passionately in front of Dr. Demento.
  • An accordion salesman tells a young Albert that playing the accordion will get him a lot of "p----", but the word is cut of comedically. One of Al's roommates says "suck on that". At a live show, Al repeatedly asks a group of female fans if he should "whip it out", but he is ultimately referring to his accordion.

Violence & Gore

  • A comedic shootout scene with blood.
  • A man is punched several times in the face by another man. Done for laughs. His face is shown with blood all over it and he even spits out small sprays of blood a few times.
  • A man kills another man by throwing a platinum record at him, which sticks in his head. He dies immediately and falls over. Not much blood is seen, and the scene is intended to be funny.
  • A man is shot and killed on stage while delivering a speech. We don't see the actual shooting, but we do see multiple (obviously edited) still photos of it, with over-the-top blood spurts added.

Profanity

  • Some yelling and insults. No actual profanity At all
  • An accordion salesman tells a young Albert that playing the accordion will get him a lot of "p----", but the word is cut off comedically. One of Al's roommates says "suck on that".
  • 4 uses of "dammit" said by a doctor played by Lin Manuel Miranda.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Several characters smoke in a few scenes.
  • There is a scene of drinking and another of drunkenness.
  • Al is shown several times throughout the movie drinking excess amounts of alcohol. Mostly done in a satire context, making fun of other biopics portraying the "dark side" of other famous musicians.
  • Weird Al accidently takes LSD and gets high

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A scene that's closely comparable to a scene in "Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark" shows a close up of a man's face melting down to the bone and his jaw falling off. Likely done for comedic effect but may upset some squeamish viewers. Very brief, however. Only lasts about 5 seconds.
  • While Al is tripping on LSD, we see an extended montage of surreal and nightmarish scenes. At one point, his face melts off, and in another, he is tied up on a conveyer belt moving slowly towards a giant shredding machine. No actual gore is seen (except for the face-melting, which is very obviously fake and silly-looking).
  • A zombie hand bursts out of a grave and grabs a woman's arm. Mild jump scare.

Spoilers

  • An assassin hired by Madonna kills Al with a machine gun near the end of the film. Blood is shown on Al during the end credits.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Near the end of the movie Madonna visits Al's grave and his arm suddenly pops out and grabs her. It is intended to be comedic rather than scary, but the suddenness of the jump-scare may startle younger viewers.
