Trama

Tom generously offers a $20,000 budget to redecorate his office to enthusiastic Renee and Lynette, who alas back-stabs her partner pretending she knows what Tom really wants better than he does, but ultimately that's respect and support now his career finally pinnacles. Carlos won't take Gaby back as long as she consorts with Bree, yet that's where she stays 'a while' but their unruly spoiled daughters. Even drill expert Bree fails to discipline the brats, until Carlos tells his daughters who really killed their grandma, but their fear-spurred obedience soon turns into terror, once more bringing flirtatiously teasing police detective Chuck Vance on Bree's path. Mike urges Susan to probe her undeserving 'nursing charge' Paul about returning their home now they're out of debt. Alas, poison-mongering by Felicia spoils both that and Susan's bid to coax the PTA into inviting the principal to take her back as a teacher.—KGF Vissers

With Gaby and the girls temporarily staying at Bree's house, Bree must lay down the law and demand discipline before Juanita and Celia destroy her home. Meanwhile Tom hires Lynette and Renee to redecorate his office - but Lynette has her own ideas of what she thinks Tom needs as opposed to wants; and while continuing to help nurse Paul back to health, Susan discovers that Felicia has been released from prison and is back on Wisteria Lane.—ABC Publicity

"Desperate Housewives" - "I'll Swallow Poison on Sunday" - May 1, 2011

Bree discovers that Gaby's girls are disrupting her life and destroying her home and wonders when they'll all go home. Gaby thinks just a few days. Seeing that the shallow Gaby makes little or no effort to control or disipline her unrudely and spoiled daughters, Bree decides to give her some motherly lessons while she's there.

Meanwhile, Susan continues to try and make the ailing Paul feel better calling him her new project. She wants to help him set new goals. He says he doesn't know what he wants to do. Susan is alarmed to see Felicia in his house when she suddenly appears. She is more alarmed to hear that she's moving into a house on Wisteria Lane and that she was Beth's mother.

Susan goes to tell the other ladies about Felicia living on the Lane, and she also explains that she's helping Paul. Bree, Gaby, Lynette, and Renee tell Susan to stay away from him for that she doesn't owe Paul anything. Susan says Paul deserves a second chance.

Renee and Lynette toast the success of their latest design triumph. Tom asks them to redecorate his office for $20,000.

At Bree's house, the energetic and spoiled Juanita and Celia continue to wreak havoc, breaking mirrors and plates and Gaby arranges some flowers for Bree, out of her own garden. She decides to go to church to pray for. A man illegally blocking her driveway that Bree starts a fight with turns out to be a cop, who is really flirting with her. Later she loses her patience with Gaby's lax parenting and Gaby challenges her to try her way with discipline and see how well she does. It starts off poorly with the girls not even listening to Bree due to their entire lives of Gaby spoiling them or letting them have their way.

Meanwhile, Renee and Lynette go to give their presentation but Tom already knows what he wants, he hands them a page from a magazine of Donald Trump's office. Lynette argues with him about what he wants. Renee points out that this is what their client wants. Renee says they can make it happen. Lynette says they're not doing it that way.

Felicia visits Susan and says she was missing Beth so much and realized a part of her was still alive and wanted to visit that part. She guilts Susan into letting her in and says Paul has forgiven and hopes Susan can too. Felicia pretends to get a migraine and asks Susan to get her aspirin so she can poison Paul's food, that Susan is cooking for him. Felicia reads from a medical reference the agonizing death Paul will have from the slow poisoning she's giving him from anti-freeze. She's reading to Beth's urn. She is gleeful. We get a montage of her dumping it in the food Susan is preparing. And then watch Paul eating it. Felicia pretends to worry about why Paul is getting sick, while she is supressing her glee.

(It is strongly implied that Felicia is also setting it up that she intends to frame Susan for poisioning Paul when the evil deed is done since Susan is doing all the cooking)

Gaby takes the girls to visit Carlos. She asks how long it's going to go on with him shunning them and he says as long as she's friends with Bree. Juanita asks Carlos why he hates mommy. He says he's mad at Bree but that it's complicated. He tries to explain it to her. We don't see the explanation. Juanita then explains to Celia that "Bree killed Grandma."

Mike and Susan have discovered that they are finally out of their financial hole and can move back into their old house. Susan says they can't until Paul's ready to leave. Mike wants Susan to ask him to move immediately.

When Juanita and Celia come back to Bree's they are a little more obedient, because they're frightened of her. Gaby is surprised to see how obedient they're being. Bree gloats and says "you're welcome." Gaby is skeptical. She tries to tempt Juanita with a cupcake. Juanita turns it down and Gaby is confused.

Renee arrives at Tom's office aghast that Lynette has ignored both Renee and Tom's instructions and decorated the way she wanted to. Lynette said Tom only said what he thinks he wants, not what he actually wants which is is this cozy warm office. Renee thinks she's emasculating him.

That night, Bree goes into the girls room to put a pillow that fell on the floor back on their bed and Juanita wakes up and sees Bree coming at her with a pillow and freaks out. They scream and run into a room and call 911. The cop, Detective Vance who was flirting with Bree earlier that day, shows up for the call. Carlos arrives and the cop asks if he told them that Bree killed his mother. He finesses it saying he blamed Bree for he and Gaby being apart. Bree walks the cop out and Vance admits he took the call because he wanted to see her again, claiming it was about Felicia, but then basically flirts with her again.

Gaby and Carlos fight about him telling Juanita. Bree thanks Carlos for not telling the cop. He reiterates that it was for Andrew and that he doesn't forgive Bree or Gaby for taking Bree's side. Carlos and the girls leave and Bree tells Gaby to go home with him and choose Carlos, as much as it makes her sad.

Susan tries to offer Felicia some brownies they made together, Felicia tries to beg off and manages to take just one bite. Susan thinks that means they're awful and goes to throw them away and Felicia has a little more. Felicia goes outside and retches in her handbag to get the poisoned brownies out of her.

Lynette and Renee wait for Tom's reaction. Tom loves it. He takes them into the office and Renee redecorated it behind Lynette's back. Lynette is aghast and almost says something but Renee saves her. Tom goes on and on about how he loves it. As they leave the office, Renee tells Lynette she needs to accept that this office is who Tom is now. Lynette doesn't and goes in and argues with Tom about who he needs to be. He explains he has a role to play as the dominant one in the family, and he's sorry if that threatens her. Lynette says she doesn't want to lose the person she married. He says "who's the screw up who couldn't make a go of the pizza parlor?" He says he's seen a little sign that she's actually as proud as she says she is about his success and he thought this office decor proved that she finally was. They fight and then he takes a call.

Paul gets dizzy after eating Susan's brownies. Susan asks if moving might not be good for Paul and says they're ready to move back in. Suddenly, Paul gets angry when he tells Susan that he suspects that she's been giving a masterful performance by pretending to care about him but just wanting the house back. He throws her out and says to leave him alone and this time he means it. But right after Susan leaves, Paul has, what seems like, a heart attack and falls to the floor.
