After an annoying late night call for omelets from Porter and Preston -- and the two call-girls with them-- it's decided that it is time for the twins to move out. Tom hands them the classified ads and Lynette tells them they have seven days to move out. They're resistant. But Tom and Lynette are insistent.
Meanwhile, Susan is driving while talking with her insurance company --they don't want to pay for all of her dialysis-- on the line and spills coffee on herself, not stopping at a stop sign in the process. She gets pulled over. She plays the kidney card and he lets her off with a warning.
Gaby is complaining about going to her hicks-ville Texas hometown. Carlos knows the real reason she doesn't want to. She's going to read a letter to her dead stepfather, who molested her, at his grave. The therapist says it will give her the comfort of closure. Gaby isn't sure but Carlos convinces her.
Mike and Paul are driving Zach to rehab. Paul thanks God Mary Alice never saw him like this. Zach tries to jump out of the car. Paul stops him. Zach screams at Paul that he did this to him, made him sick. Paul grabs Zach and says that he has nobody but himself to blame for his mental problems, and screams at him that it's either rehab, or jail for shooting him. Zach picks rehab.
Meanwhile, Keith is showing Charlie how to throw a baseball. Bree looks on sweetly. Charlie's mother, Amber, drives up to take him back to the hotel. Amber tells Bree that they are leaving in the morning for Florida. Keith goes in and he and Bree have a tense conversation about her keeping this news from him. Keith says if the relationship is going to have a future they have to be honest with each other. Bree apologizes and asks him not to be angry. He says he's mostly mad about the situation and that he and Bree will get past this.
At the supermarket, MJ is whining about the long line, so Susan plays the kidney card again.
Gaby and Carlos arrive in her Texas hometown and they meet a woman who knows her from magazines and her modeling days. Gaby spies a nun who seems to recognize her and she skedaddles off.
Keith sees Charlie off at the airport and is very sad. A week ago he didn't know he existed and now he doesn't know how he's going to live without him. Keith tells Bree that his father was always away in the army when he was a kid and he swore he'd never be that way. Bree wishes there was something she could do. He says there's nothing anyone can do.
Porter and Preston are off to their new place. They promise to let Tom and Lynette see it in a few days once it's fixed up. Lynette sees them off tearfully and they watch as they drive to the house across the street: they're moving in with the McCluskey and her boyfriend, Roy, as new "tenants."
Susan plays the kidney card to get out of jury duty on the phone in front of Renee. She likes it, of course. Susan says she deserves it, the only perk to having this horrible disease. Renee suggests they go to a fancy lunch place that doesn't take reservations.
In Texas, Gaby and Carlos walk into a cafe she used to eat and are surprised to see it's been turned into a shrine to her. Customers want her picture and her autograph and the nacho platter after her. The principal of the school she used to attend tells her how proud they are of her. He wants her to come by to the school and talk to the girls. Carlos reminds her of their schedule, but of course Gaby can't resist the attention.
Paul comes home from his rehab run and tells Beth it's done that his son Zach is in rehab. Beth tells Paul that she feels that he's been cold and distant to her for several days now. She hopes they can get back to their life now, she says she misses being close to him. She hugs him and feels a gun, her gun, in his back. He says it's protection since Zach tried to kill. He asks why she brought it into the house. She says they can get rid of it if he wants. Beth begs him to talk to her, tell her why he's upset. Paul says he has a lot on his mind. He says when someone so close betrays you, he wonders if the things can ever be good again.
In bed, Keith tells Bree there is something she can do for him: move to Florida so he can be close to his son. She is not immediately responsive even though he could do his job anywhere and she sold her business and her kids are grown. Bree tells Keith that she doesn't want to movie and says that she'd miss her friends. Keith says he'd build her a guest house. She says she thinks she can't, because Whisteria Lane is her home. He's sad but seems to understand but says there's no other way for him to be close to Charlie, unless he moves without her and he can't because long distance relationships don't work and he doesn't want to jeopardize what they have. Bree says she's willing to talk about it and he says to forget it. He says he just keeps waiting for an answer to appear and there isn't one.
At the hotel, Gaby is enjoying the idea that the paper wants to do a story on her. Carlos asks when she's going to the cemetery for her closure. She says she doesn't need to, it's already happening, through the healing love of the people in the town. He wonders if it's enough, she says it is.
Back on Whisteria Lane, Lynette and Tom stew over Porter and Preston's "nest adjacent" status. McCluskey calls because the boys are complaining about her cooking of the Denver omelets. Lynette goes over to help out. It turns out McCluskey is doing their laundry. McCluskey and her boyfriend say they don't mind. Lynette pulls her aside and says they need to learn to be responsible for themselves. In private, McCluskey tells Porter and Preston that if they pull off any shenanigans, she'll put them out on the street.
Gaby goes to the Catholic school for girls where she used to attend to talk to the girls... and tells them to stay away from math and science since it will give them frown lines. The principal brings over Sista Marta, the nun from the previous day she ran away from. The nun is sort of rude to her, saying that Gaby always loved to be the center of attention. Gaby chases after her and says they need to talk. Gaby confronts the nun and says she told her what was happening with her stepfather and she didn't believe her. Sister Marta tells Gaby that she still doesn't belive her, calling it a figment of her imagination. Gaby is incensed at the nun for when she confided in her about her stepfather's abuse, Sister Marta actually called Gaby a liar and that she should be ashamed of herself, and she has been ever since. Gaby decided it would feel better to tell the nun what's in the letter not her dead stepfather. Gaby tells sister Marta that she's the one who should be ashamed of herself for not protecting her when she was little.
Lynette arrives with a "housewarming present." A beer keg. She suggests a party.
Meanwhile, Paul goes to visit Zach in rehab. He asks him why he shot him. The troubled and twisted Zach gives him a simple answer: because he wanted him to die. Zach says that all his life he hated Paul and it started getting bigger and he realized that hate was all Zach has inside him. Paul suggests that it was the drugs and the fact that Zach's biological mother was a drug addict herself who used cocaine and heroin while she was pregnant with Zach, and this long-term result is making Zach feel this way and why Zach has so much mental problems. Zack says "no" and says that Paul is the reason Mary Alice killed herself. Paul says that's not true. He says Mary Alice loved him. Zack says no one could ever love him.
The next morning on Whisteria Lane, McCluskey is surveying her ramshackle house, strewn in toilet paper, and things were ruined in house. McCluskey drags the twins them back home by the ear, kicking them out. Back at the Scavo house, the twins ask Lynette what's for breakfast. She says nothing. Lynette says after they clean up Mrs. McCluskey's house they're finding a new place. They say they're tired and hungover. Lynette can't believe how useless they are. Porter and Preston blame her, saying she always said she'd rather do things herself and that's why they can't do anything, not even cook for themselves. Lynette realizes they're right. Lynette tells them that with her own crazy mother, she tried to extend their childhood since she never had one herself. Lynette says she's sorry but since they are both 19-years-old it's time for them to move out and start their own lives. They say they will but wonder if she can make an omelet first. She says yes and then no, she'll teach them to make one.
Keith is moping and Bree completely understands. She tells him he needs to move to Florida. He says no, he knows it won't work long distance. Bree says the problem is he's already in a long-distance relationship with his son, and one of these relationships has to work and it has to be that one. Keith says he loves her and won't go. Bree says he has to and that in her life she's fallen in and out of love with several men but never with her children and he may think he'll never love another woman but she knows he will. He says he doesn't see how that's possible. She tells him that he's given her so much and she really hopes he'll let her give this to him.
Susan and Renee attempt to play the kidney card at the fancy restaurant. Other patrons who have been waiting who also have something: diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, restless leg syndrome. One angry man tells Susan the only thing special about her is she thinks she's special and tells her to get the back of the line. Susan and Renee reluctantly walk back and Susan suddenly passes out. Renee thinks she's just playing the part, but she's having a bona fide emergency. Renee calls for an ambulance.
That night, Paul throws Beth out of the house, telling her he knows who she is; she is Felicia Tillman's daughter. Beth tries to explain that she fell in love with him. She begs for his forgiveness. She says she loves him. Paul says she doesn't. Echoing what Zach told him earlier, Paul says that no one could ever love him. He hands her her gun and puts her out on the street.
Porter and Preston pack up again and move out of Lynette's house again.
Gaby and Carlos head back home.
Keith packs up his things while Bree watches.
