While production is currently underway for two True Justice sequels, both currently have working titles. These are Eye For An Eye and Lost Love, but apparently, these titles are not final and could be changed.

According to Deadline, the second True Justice movie sees Katherine McNamara, Markian Tarasiuk, Nikki DeLoach and Benjamin Ayres’ characters working to exonerate a mother, wrongly accused of murder. Exclusive: Production is currently underway on two sequels of Hallmark’s True Justice in Ottawa, Ontario with Katherine McNamara, Markian Tarasiuk, Nikki DeLoach and Benjamin Ayres returning to their roles. DeLoach and Megan McNulty penned the sequels.

The working titles for the sequels are Eye For An Eye and Lost Love, however, Deadline understands these are not final and could be changed.

The description for installment No. 2: Our Warriors work to exonerate a mother wrongly accused of murder. To reopen the case and solve the potential crime, our Justice Warriors need to go undercover and investigate the wealthy parents at a prestigious high school.

And for installment No. 3: Our Warriors work to not only exonerate Marianne for the murder of her missing fiancé but to bring to light a web of counterfeit jewels along the way.

Onyx Collective, Disney General Entertainment Content’s slate of premium entertainment programming by creators of color and underrepresented voices, has named its nonfiction programming execs. Jacqueline Glover is set as Head of Documentary Programming, and Jihan Robinson is VP Documentary Programming.

The pair will work Tara Duncan, president of Onyx Collective and Freeform, to build the brand’s roster of emerging and established creators of color as well as produce and develop its nonfiction projects. Glover will continue to serve as Head of Documentaries for ABC News, and Robinson also will remain in her role as VP Alternative Programming at Freeform.

Updated, 1:38 Pm: HBO has added all episodes of its hit series Big Little Lies to its lineup of free-streaming programming available for a limited time due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Both seasons (14 episodes) are free to watch without a subscription in the U.S. on HBO Go and HBO Now. HBO added the series following last week’s announcement that it was offering nearly 500 hours of free premium content through April 30.

In fact, the network has released a serious incentive to do so with nearly 500 hours of Free streaming content for viewers in the Us. On April 3, HBO gave free access to its top shows, Warner Bros. movies, and documentaries without any necessary subscription. In what’s becoming a common trend across the industry, HBO will be providing free content to viewers during the coronavirus lockdown. Following on from the likes of CBS All Access in opening up their paywall, HBO will be making HBO Now and HBO Go free to access from Friday, April 3rd. While this offering does not include certain hit series like Game of Thrones, viewers will still be able to watch almost 500 hours of content from the HBO library, adding to the options available for those stuck at home.

The WarnerMedia-owned premium cabler is making almost 500 hours of programming available to stream for free (without ads) for a limited time on HBO Now and HBO Go services without a subscription, starting this Friday, April 3.

The list of free programming includes every episode of nine HBO series: “The Sopranos,” “Veep,” “Succession,” “Six Feet Under,” “The Wire,” “Ballers,” “Barry,” “Silicon Valley” and “True Blood.”

Also streaming for free are 20 Warner Bros. movies in HBO’s current catalog including “Pokémon Detective Pikachu,” “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” and “Crazy, Stupid, Love”; and 10 HBO documentaries and docuseries including “McMillion$” and “The Case Against Adnan Syed.”

The 17th annual AFI Docs Film Festival will launch this year’s eclectic program from June 19-23 in Washington, D.C., and Silver Spring, Md., showcasing 72 films from 17 countries, with a strong emphasis on female filmmakers. Of the current slate set to unspool, 48% of the directors and 68% of the producers are women, marking a considerable uptick from past festivals. This year, AFI Docs is organizing its entries into different categories, and will include six world premieres, one North American premiere, and two U.S. premieres.

The Urban Movie Channel (Umc) series “Stuck With You” has recast the role of Luvell with Timon Kyle Durrett, taking over for Thomas Q. Jones. Durrett and Tammy Townsend will now star together as an unhappily married celebrity couple that struggles with being the face of relationship goals in the spotlight, while living two separate lives behind closed doors. The series hails from writer and director Patricia Cuffie-Jones.

Geena Davis will appear in five of the 10 episodes in the third season of “Glow.” Season three follows the women wrestlers as they take their show to Las Vegas. The AFI Docs Festival has selected the Steven Bognar-Julia Reichert documentary “American Factory” as its centerpiece film, screening on June 21.

The event will take place at the Warner Bros. Theater at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.

“American Factory” centers on the aftermath of the 2014 purchase of a General Motors plant in Dayton, Ohio, which had closed in 2008. A Chinese billionaire reopened the facility as Fuyao Glass America, with the promise of giving work to more than 2,000 local residents, along with bringing hundreds of Chinese workers to Ohio. Tensions mount among the Americans due to low wages and concerns about safety.

The festival revealed its full slate of films Wednesday for the 2019 edition, the 17th year, with 72 films representing 17 countries. The festival runs June 19–23 in Washington, DC, and Silver Spring, Md.

For more than three decades, Alabama public interest attorney Bryan Stevenson has advocated on behalf of the poor, the incarcerated and the condemned, seeking to eradicate racial discrimination in the criminal justice system. Now HBO Documentary Films is telling his story.

Set to premiere June 26 on the premium cable channel, True Justice: Bryan Stevenson’s Fight for Equality follows the Equal Justice Initiative founder-director’s struggle to create greater fairness in the system and shows how racial injustice emerged, evolved and continues to threaten the country, challenging viewers to confront it.

The network announced Monday that “True Justice: Bryan Stevenson’s Fight for Equality” will debut June 26 on the premium cable network and on their streaming platforms.

Produced and directed by Peter Kunhardt, George Kunhardt and Teddy Kunhardt, “True Justice” chronicles Stevenson’s work in Alabama as an advocate for the poor and incarcerated and how he seeks to eradicate racial discrimination in the criminal justice system. As a young lawyer in the 1980s, he witnessed firsthand how courts unfairly applied the death penalty based on race and how the Supreme Court ultimately declared that racial bias in the administration of the death penalty was “inevitable.”

I’m Den of Geek’s go to guy for Steven Seagal movies and, as such, was very excited when the opportunity to interview Keoni Waxman arose. He’s directed six movies that have starred Seagal and worked on the TV series True Justice with the big man.

Not only was I excited to speak to Waxman because I like his films, I thought he’d be an interesting interview subject. While I understand that interviews with big Hollywood stars are more popular, I felt like I would have a chance to speak to someone that many Den of Geek readers wouldn’t know much about, and that he’d be able to offer us an interesting perspective on a part of the film industry that we don’t have much access to.

In May we will see almost 60 titles leave Netflix, but nearly 60 titles are being added. One of the big warnings I will heed is that you’ve got until May 5 to watch Skyfall, so get on that. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will handle worldwide distribution on Blu-ray, DVD, VOD and Digital HD for the film's release in 2015.

We are so happy to hear that our dear friend for many years Nadine de Barros has joined industry vets film financier Daniel Wagner and producer Robert Ogden Barnum to form a new international sales company Fortitude International which de Barros will roll out in Berlin the next weeks.

In the Berlin Efm Market Fortitude International to sell Foreign Rights for and will introduce this new project to buyers at the upcoming Berlin European Film Market.

The project will see Kilburn Media financing The End Of The Tour, starring Jason Segel and Jesse Eisenbeg, Directed By James Ponsoldt.

Mark Manuel and Ted O’Neal’s Kilburn Media has come on board as full financiers of the fact-based drama “The End of the Tour,” starring Jason Segel and Jesse Eisenberg and directed by James Ponsoldt. The announcement was made jointly by Kilburn and by Anonymous Content. David Kanter and Matt DeRoss will produce for Anonymous Content along with James Dahl of Modern Man Films. Manuel and O’Neal will produce for Kilburn.

The film follows author David Foster Wallace (Segel), author of famous best selling novel Infinite Jest, on the 1996 supporting book tour as Wallace is accompanied David Lipsky (Eisenberg), on assignment from Rolling Stone Magazine. Along the way, both a friendship and jealousy and competition emerge between the two writers as they discuss women, culture, depression and the pros and cons of fame. Though Wallace committed suicide in 2008, the movie captures both men at a time of great promise.

James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now) will direct from a script by playwright Donald Margulies, who adapted Lipsky’s book Although Of Course You End Up Becoming Yourself: A Road Trip With David Foster Wallace. Ponsoldt himself used to work at Rolling Stone while he was in college.

Anonymous Content’s Paul Green will executive produce the film, which is scheduled to start production shortly.

Veteran foreign sales agent Nadine de Barros, financier/producer Daniel Wagner (Kill The Trumpet Player, Young Ones) and producer Robert Ogden Barnum (All Is Lost, Lawless) have partnered to launch Fortitude International, a new sales and financing outfit based in Los Angeles. De Barros will be meeting with film buyers at the upcoming European Film Market at the Berlinale.

De Barros most recently served as Head of Sales at Aldamisa International, and was previously Vice President of Sales and Acquisitions at Voltage Pictures. She has handled sales on such films as Sin City 2, Chef and Machete Kills as well as The Hurt Locker, Don Jon and Killer Joe.

In addition to sales, Fortitude will also fully finance projects, and will be actively looking to produce strong, commercial and director driven material immediately. The company will finance and sell 10-15 movies a year and has at its disposal equity, bridge and senior debt capabilities.

Fortitude will also focus on sourcing and financing television series and miniseries.

De Barros has always had a foot in television and previously sold TNT’s Leverage, The Triangle on SyFy, True Justice on Reelz and most recently SAF3.

“I am thrilled to be working with Daniel and Rob as we build Fortitude into a full-service international sales and financing company. I’m also very excited about our forthcoming slate of projects, both film and television series and miniseries,” said de Barros.

“Through Fortitude International, we have created a company that will provide important services and support not just for our personal slate of films, but to our present and future producing partners as well. I'm excited to partner with such talented and dedicated individuals on this new venture,” said Wagner.

“As financiers, Nadine brings us the international market knowledge that is so imperative to us when evaluating projects. Fortitude will be a haven for filmmakers and artists to make creatively and commercially successful films,” said Barnum.

Wagner’s La-based production and finance company BiFrost Pictures launched last year at Cannes and has recently greenlit high profile projects including the Miles Davis biography Kill The Trumpet Player, which will star and be directed by Don Cheadle. Other projects include Jake Paltrow’s Sundance entry Young Ones with Michael Shannon and Nicholas Hoult, Paul Bettany’s directorial debut Shelter starring Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Mackie, the romantic comedy We’LL Never Have Paris from director and star Simon Helberg, and The World Made Straight which stars Noah Wiley, Haley Joel Osment and Minka Kelly.

Robert Ogden Barnum, also a producer on Kill the Trumpet Player and Shelter, is a co-founder of the financing firm e2b Capital with Cassian Elwes, and most recently executive produced All Is Lost starring Robert Redford and directed by Jc Chandor. Other recent projects include Lawless, starring Shia Labeouf and Tom Hardy and Chandor’s first film Margin Call, starring Kevin Spacey. She is also overseeing production, financing and sales on “Captive” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, “Rescue 3” a 22 episode series currently in production, and Barbra’s Streisand’s directorial return, “The Margaret Bourke-White Story”. For 7 years prior to Aldamisa, Nadine was the President of Sales and Acquisitions of Voltage Pictures, a sales agency which she launched with global sales expert Nicolas Chartier. Considering some big choices in the coming days, action man Steven Seagal says that he is considering running for the office of Arizona governor.

The "True Justice" star went on with Knxv-tv, stating that he is seriously considering the the bid for office, while promoting his new reality series, "Steven Seagal - Lawman: Maricopa County."

The 61-year-old is a devoted member of Arpaio's posse, whose "volunteer, non-compensated positions are made up of people from all walks of who that want to do law enforcement work as a way to give back to their community," and wants to emphasize law enforcement.

Seagal has also been deputized with sheriff's offices in New Mexico, Texas and Louisiana, and has also stated that he wants to increase border security. More power to him!

Steven Seagal is a man of many talents, and everyone knows he's a martial artist, a movie star, and a producer. But in addition to those things he is also an experienced law enforcement officer, a musician, a director, and a writer. But really, what we love best about him is still the acting. Seagal is a tough, straightforward, no-nonsense guy who plays direct, serious, and pragmatic characters, but he still has the chops to make it through just about any type of scene. In an episode of True Justice season two, Kane concocts an antibiotic tea to help Sarah ward off an infection. In this week's episode of the reality series Lawman, Seagal's knowledge of Chinese medicine similarly helps a wounded officer. After a lengthy chase, one of Seagal's fellow cops is suffering from a knee injury, and Seagal steps in and takes him to an acupuncturist. Though the officer is skeptical, he comes to believe in the powers of alternative medicine.
