The last time we saw "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury," everything was about to change. The Earthian terrorist outfit Dawn of Fold attacked Plant Quetta, incapacitating Benerit Group president Delling Rembran. In the chaos, Guel Jeturk accidentally killed his dad. Shaddiq made his first big play to change the status quo of the Benerit Group. Nika Nanaura, an Earthian double agent with connections to Dawn of Fold, was spotted at the worst possible moment by her classmate Martin. Suletta Mercury, the heroine of the series, was taught by her mother Lady Prospera to kill others in order to protect her friends. She did so, crushing an Earthian soldier with the hand of the Aerial to save Miorine. Miorine was disgusted.
After an episode like that, anything seemed possible. For instance, Suletta and Miorine becoming enemies. Nika or Guel facing a criminal trial. Abandoning Asticassia School of Technology for...

One of the most interesting latest trends in the anime world are titles that are not manga adaptations, but original television series, with titles like “Bna” and “Odd Taxi” highlighting the quality of such productions. “Lycoris Recoil” continues on the path of the aforementioned, implementing a favorite anime concept, that of the school of assassins for young girls, in the fashion of “Noir” , “Gunslinger Girls” etc.
Takina Inoue is a member of a government-sponsored all-female task force of assassins and spies made up of orphans known as “Lycoris”. The organization is an undercover group, who eliminate criminals and terrorists in Tokyo, while also taking up missions of protecting significant individuals, with the agents always being disguised as high school students. As the series begins, Takina, during an operation to intercept a large exchange of firearms, starts firing indiscriminately at the enemies in order to save a colleague that was taken as hostage,...

Just when we all thought there was no way to beat the embarrassment of anime riches that was 2021, along comes 2022 to blow every expectation away with so many fantastic shows it was nearly impossible even to begin to try and stay up to day with all of them.
There were giant favorites shocking audiences by returning with their best seasons yet, hugely anticipated sequels delivering tons of thrills, brand new shows succeeding expectations, and even entirely original shows full of surprises. No matter your taste, there truly was something for everyone.
This makes it rather tough to even begin to boil down all the great anime of the year into a best-of list, but that won't stop us from trying. Here is the best anime of the year, ranked.

While demand for HBO’s “House of the Dragon” has risen this week, demand for Amazon Prime Video’s “The Rings of Power” fell by 13, according to Parrot Analytics‘ data, which takes into account consumer research, streaming, downloads and social media, among other engagement.
Another week like this and the “Game of Thrones” prequel will have twice the demand of “The Rings of Power.” If the trajectories of these two shows remain on this path, it’s looking like HBO will have won the much-anticipated faceoff without there being much of a fight at all.
