We've seen in Pitch Perfect, and the trailers for the upcoming Into The Woods, that Anna Kenrick has one hell of a singing voice, but next year will see her really exercise it in The Last Five Years, based on the off Broadway musical of the same name. Directed by P.S. I Love You's Richard Lagravenese, the film charts the romance between Cathy (Kendrick) and Jamie (Jeremy Jordan) as both their careers put pressures on both their lives. Told almost entirely through song, the movie tells each side of the story in reverse: Cathy's side from the end of their marriage, while Jamie's takes us right back to the beginning of their relationship. The first trailer below is absolutely bursting with energy, and this movie should be a must for anybody loves musicals, featuring some fantastic performances from the lead pair. Check it out below.
