pretty Piper
RavenGlamDVDCollector25 October 2017
I'm quite pleased with this show. Admittedly, the look of the show, the basic premise of the show, a pretty girl in a male- dominated field, the CIA. Piper Perabo is just perfect, and the show promises loads of thrills. The main back-up cast, Christopher Gorham and the lady with the ponytail, they do well, but as for the episodic story-line, it's that old problem in so many contemporary shows - no real zing, or, to be fair, NOT ENOUGH OF IT. The plot needs a magic ingredient, just as the cast already has that one vital key member.

As for newcomer Sandhile Ramamhurty, I am more than just a little bit skeptic about the choice there. That guy brought down the level of BEAUTY & THE BEAST during his tenure there. He was an absolute failure in his part on that show.

Then again, Christopher Gorham was kinda irritating in POPULAR, and here he's quite likable as Auggie.

I keep marvelling at the "up close & personal" camera zoom-ins on Piper's beautiful face. She was in COYOTE UGLY years and years before this, and still looks like ten million dollars. No, even better.

IRA planning to bomb the USA???
Equilibrium00731 July 2010
While very entertaining, the episode shows an egregious lack of understanding of the complexities of the IRA. Seriously? The IRA (which officially ended its armed campaign in 2005)wanting to bomb American sites? Really? Were they thinking RIRA, CIRA, INLA...,even then, it doesn't make sense. While one can enjoy the premise of the show, let's not be ignorant and stupid here producers and writers.

Plausibility is a real issue with this show, and it must be addressed by the producers. There is a great premise, kick-ass action scenes, and it is great to see a woman in such a strong role. The acting is very good, and the production is top notch. The stories need to be a bit more plausible though, even if they need to make up fake terrorist groups, rather than inserting known ones into an unrealistic situation.
