Spiritual remake of Mia und der Weiße Löwe (2018), a previous Gilles de Maistre's movie.

The name of the city the girl travels to seems to be a reference to Mamiraua, a science reserve - and not a city - located close to the city called Tefé. This requires confirmation.

Supposing the movie makes reference to Mamiraua, this entire area is an area of floodplain. It's impossible to build a road in this place because the level of water changes 10m or more according the season. That's why a very common constructions are floating houses in the middle of the river.

In Tefé, there is a hotel for tourists in a floating house, in the middle of the river. There are science centers not open to the public in floating houses as well.

Another common construction are stilt houses.

The trip to Mamiraua needs to pass through the Amazon capital, Manaus. There is no directly flight from other places. From Manaus, a small two engine aircraft is used to take you from Manaus to Tefé, where Mamirauá is located.

The only other way to reach Tefé, also from Manaus, is in a 3 day trip by boat from Manaus.

For fathomless reasons, Lumi Pollack's character name was changed from Autumn to Emma in the Spanish dub, even appearing in the Spanish title as "Emma y el jaguar negro" (Emma and the Black Jaguar).
