Plaster Rock (2010): Dir: Jacqueline Giroux / Cast: Jason Nicholson, Jessica Holt, Christine Johnson, Kelsey Wilson, Frank Molina: Laughable, if not embarrassing recycled slasher film bullshit where a group of skiers are trapped in a remote location and terrorized until everyone of them die in graphic fashion. This is not the first half ass film to come from New Brunswick but it certainly contends as perhaps the worst. It is at least as stupid as The Waking Dead and that's saying something. Even the production values suck ass especially an ax that slowly loosens above some poor bastard's head. You can sense that somebody is behind the wall moving it. Directed by Jackie Giroux who goes from quiet moments where the cast assemble and drink, to a sudden shriek where bloody remains are found. One of the dumbest scenes involving a venture by vehicle to get help. The killer must be psychic because there he was with a chainsaw to prevent them from heading back due to that fallen tree. It is nice to know that he knew that he needed that chainsaw right at that very moment. The cast can do nothing more than separate and either go missing or die. If they went missing then it would be perfectly understandable because a film this bad would have people go missing by walking off set. Among the cast are Jason Nicholson, Jessica Holt, Christine Johnson, Kelsey Wilson, etc. They all die but one hopes that their next gig is more promising. Frank Molina even gets mixed up in this garbage after giving a decent performance in American Sunset. This pointless mayhem should be plastered under several rocks. Score: 1 / 10
