San Francisco, July 9 (Ians) Apple is reportedly working on a new stereo system for its long-rumoured ‘Apple Car’.
The tech giant has filed five new patent applications related to audio in the car, reports AppleInsider.
It does appear that the company has used the term “enclosed environment” as an alternative for car.
“Each of the five new patent applications uses that term and most do say it could apply to buildings, but all also say vehicles and some cannot be anything else,” the report said.
One of the patent applications is related to the speakers in the headrest.
Apple won’t let customers miss a minute of a podcast, even if they’ve only turned their head to check the traffic before a turn or are leaning out the car window ordering a McDonald’s.
Another patent application is for speakers mounted on a car door, or what the company refers...

Whatever you do… don’t open your eyes. A brand new international spinoff movie set in the world of 2018 hit Bird Box, Bird Box Barcelona will premiere on July 14.
Entertainment Weekly has debuted a brand new teaser trailer this morning, while also confirming that Bird Box Barcelona is not a prequel. Rather, the events of the film are unfolding at the very same time as the original Bird Box movie… in a very different part of the world.
Producer Dylan Clark tells EW, “The events that we see Malorie/Sandra Bullock endure in the original Bird Box are happening at the same time that Sebastian/Mario Casas is going through his journey. Being in Barcelona gave us a chance to see how surviving this intense threat in an iconic city poses different challenges.”
Watch the official Bird Box Barcelona teaser trailer below.

I’m a big fan of Dust and the short films that they have produced over the years. They tend to develop great high quality work that entertains.
Today we have a trailer to share with you for one of their upcoming sci-fi short film projects called Occupant. The film tells the story of a man who is unexpectedly replaced by an alien replica of himself.
The movie was directed by Peter Cilella and it stars Dan O’Brien, Lauran September and Caroline Jennings. It was also produced by Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson.
Occupant is set to be released on Thursday, May 9th on all Dust channels, and we’ll share it here when it is released.

Being that everybody is occupying something nowadays, it's only fitting that something would occupy something in the horror genre. Namely the Occupant.
From director Henry Miller Occupant stars Van Hansis, Cody Horn and Thorsten Kaye. Check out the goods on the flick below.
Synopsis
Danny Hill's grandmother just died, giving the 25-year-old the chance to move into her enormous rent controlled apartment in Manhattan. Danny must lock himself in for twelve days before he can take over the lease. There's just one problem - he may not be the only occupant.

We are gearing up for the third season of our web series, We Love Soaps TV, lining up more interviews and features than ever. But as we close out our 91 episode second season I wanted to reflect on some of the interviews I did during the year for the show.
I'll never forget (and you don't want to miss!) these moments, showcasing Signy Coleman's passion and compassion; Mimi Torchin's hilarious and insightful candor; Nick Matthews' charisma and wit; Van Hansis' talent and ambition; and Olivia Newton-John's beauty and generosity of spirit.
The cast and crew of the upcoming soap River Ridge were all very inspiring. From Tyler Ford's vision to Signy Coleman's passion, I left this interview feeling even better about the future of the continuing story format on the web or whatever platforms may exist.
Always a blast, Soap Opera Weekly founder Mimi...

We Love Soaps TV recently traveled to Los Angeles and spoke with three-time Emmy nominee Van Hansis, best known to soap fans for his run as Luke Snyder on As The World Turns. He's currently starring in the soon to be released film, Occupant, a thriller that tells the story of his character, Danny Hill. In addition to what aired during the episode featuring Hansis, the actor also spoke about his career aspirations and how he doesn't limit himself to any one genre or specific roles.
We Love Soaps TV: When you started at Carnegie Mellon, what were your aspirations? Did you want to do everything - theater, film?
Van Hansis: Carnegie Mellon is a classic drama school so you're main focus is theater. You do a little bit of film and television stuff in your senior year but for the most part it's theater, it's Shakespeare, the Greeks,...

In Parts One, Two and Three, the outspoken actor discussed his role in the upcoming thriller Occupant, working with Van Hansis, as well as his indelible roles on One Life To Live, Port Charles, and All My Children. In this final part he reveals what "embarrassed" him in his career, struggles of acting on soaps, as well as his future goals. Is Patrick Thornhart about to rise from the dead in Llanview? Find out below:
We Love Soaps TV: Why will the fans who miss you on daytime want to see Occupant?
Thorsten Kaye: I hope people go and see it. Not for me so much, but because the story is so good, and it is written so well. It’s a spooky little ride, you will want to get on it.
We Love Soaps TV: I remember part of what made Jaws so scary was that we didn’t see the shark.

In Parts One and Two of our interview with Thorsten Kaye, the beloved actor discussed his role in the new film Occupant, his experience working with Van Hansis, the Bianca/Reese wedding on All My Children, as well as how soaps fumble by focusing on explosions. In this part, he reflects on his time on Port Charles, his passionate fan following, and why he chose to left AMC. What does he think of "Zendall?" Find out below.
We Love Soaps TV: On Port Charles, you came on as Ian Thornhart, Patrick’s brother, originally as a doctor who worked for a Doctors Without Borders type organization, then ended up fighting vampires.
Thorsten Kaye: Yeah, he had gotten bit by one vampire and everything changed. But like all good drama it comes down to relationships, doesn’t it?
We Love Soaps TV: It does, but that’s where Port Charles lost me a viewer.

In Part Two below, we delve deeper into the current state of daytime television, the misguided focus of "explosions" on soaps, what went wrong with the lesbian wedding on All My Children, and reflections of his stint as Patrick Thornhart on One Life To Live.
We Love Soaps TV: One of the reasons why I love soaps is because I believe they have to power to promote mental health and emotional resilience in a way that no other art form can.
Thorsten Kaye: I think you’re right. It’s a great platform for that. But with that possible success comes possible failure. I’ve been in story lines, and I know...

Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is doing previews in Toronto, and they recently performed three songs for the press, and talked to the sexy Will Swenson, the “incredibly butch and handsome” actor playing Tick. They also mention local favorite Nick Adams.
Good Morning America had the men of the new Fire Department New York calendar on Thursday morning, but only one took off his shirt, which seemed kind of a waste to me. Fortunately, Gma put up a slideshow of the calendar itself, which benefits families of fallen firemen. Go ahead, I’ll wait.
