Adult Zoe and Maturing Jack
GunnersMate27 May 2018
Stoned has a crisis of the week that takes its time to develop - which is quite lovely. The episode's primary focus seems to be a more adult college student Zoe's visit home, Jack coming to terms with his years of inaction on the romance front, and Henry trying to find a way to romance his wife that is different from the actions of the original Henry from this time line. It all blends together well and we get to see Zoe really participate in the crisis resolution. As a side, Grant (and two of his fellow time travelers) are surprised with a new concern, so it appears that there may be more to be explored there. On the down side, the chemistry that made the first couple of seasons of Eureka so amazing is not there, and it is really missed. But there is hope on the horizon, the mid-season finale isn't too far away and with Erureka's history of reshuffling at the midseason and rebooting at the season end, there is always change around the corner. Only time can tell if it is for the better or worse.
