I'll Be Seeing You had all the potential in the world to be a perfect episode of Eureka. Jack and Allison are basking in the relationship aftermath of the honesty from the Ex-Files episode, Grant is teamed up with an old face and is acting with complicated intentions, and there is a big emergency at Global requiring all hands on deck. The time travel that started the season takes takes front and center in the plot line and there's is a mid-season handling of the season's story arc. The story moves quickly, has some effective emotional shock points, and demands that the viewer pay attention. Good sci-fi, good story, seemingly satisfying resolution...but then the writers take us down a path that tries really hard to negate everything we just experienced, leaving a bad taste in the mouths of viewers everywhere. Was loving the ride, but the destination made me regret the trip. Too bad, it could have been perfect.
