Actor Samir Soni feels he has been pigeonholed into the role of an Nri in showbiz. He wants to ditch that image.

Mumbai, March 27: Bollywood's style icon Sonam Kapoor is single, and she would like to maintain that relationship status publicly until she makes a final decision about a person in her life. Besides, her father Anil Kapoor has "trained" her to say "just friends" when anyone asks her if she's dating someone or not.

The father-daughter duo came together for a tete-a-tete with filmmaker Karan Johar on his celebrity chat show "Koffee With Karan".

Karan asked the "I Hate Luv Storys" actress - "Currently apparently there is some boyfriend...is that not true?"

Mumbai, Nov 20: Director Punit Malhotra, who roped in Shraddha Kapoor to play South Indian character Vasudha in his forthcoming directorial venture "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein", says he wrote the character keeping her in mind.

"I met Shraddha after 'I Hate Luv Storys' at a theatre and something stayed with me. When I wrote the character of Vasudha, a nice south Indian girl, I only had Shraddha in mind. Trust me, I didn't go to anyone else," Malhotra said in an interview.

"First choice was Shraddha and this was even before 'Aashiqui 2'. I went to her. I gave her the subject and said, 'It's a very nice role. You will look really.

About his new film with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Imran Khan says it genuinely a whole bunch of fun and from what we have seen so far in the promos we would have to agree. Gori Tere Pyaar Mein was directed by Punit Malhotra. The rom-com with more is set to release on November 22nd and fans cannot wait to see these what these three will bring to the silver screen. In Punit Malhotra’s Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, the Aashiqui 2 star Shraddha Kapoor plays a small role for which she didn’t charge Karan Johar’s production house a fee.

A source said, “When Shraddha read the script, she really liked it. Since she also wanted to work with the banner, she agreed to come on board instantly without any remuneration. Her role isn’t a lengthy one, but she plays an important part. Her role is crucial to the storyline.”

Punit Malhotra the director of the movie said, “I bumped into Shraddha outside a theatre on the day I Hate Luv Storys (2010) released. I’ve known her since then. When we wrote the character of Vasudha, I had her in mind, so I casually met her for coffee and sounded her off about the role.

Shraddha Kapoor, who became an overnight sensation post the smash hit Aashiqui 2, is in the news again, for all the right reasons. Not many know that the upcoming film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein (Gtpm) that stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor also features Shraddha Kapoor in a small but prominent role. Acclaimed Bollywood playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan proved on Friday night that she is indeed one of the best artists in the industry today. Her UK tour ended with a concert at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall where she belted out some of her greatest songs. Confirming Punit's presence in the movie, Khan told Ians: "He is a good friend, so I asked him to act in it and I must say, it has come up very well. He has done a wonderful job."

"It's a short film. The length of the film is 12 and a half minutes," added Khan, who has earlier helmed films like "Shaurya" and "Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye".

Khan says the film will initially release online March 14, and in future, he plans to club five to six short films into one,.

Dharma Productions and Puneet Malhotra had a successful outing with I Hate Luv Storys and are back with Gori Tere Pyaar Mein The movie brings the super hit jodi of Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan who were last seen together on screen in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, also from Dharma Productions. The movie also marks the second venture between Imran Khan and the director Puneet Malhotra.

Sources have said that it took a lot of brainstorming to decide on the name for this film, and after a lot of discussion the name ‘Gori Tere Pyar Mein’ was decided upon by Punit and KJo.

The trio from the film I Hate Luv Storys (Ihls), Punit Malhotra, Karan Johar and Imran Khan are back. Earlier we had reported that post Ihls, Punit was ready with the script of his next venture and roped in Imran for the same. Later Kareena Kapoor was signed on to play the female lead opposite Imran in the then untitled film.

Now after a long wait and lot of brainstorming, producer Karan Johar and director Punit Malhotra have finally decided to title the film Gori Tere Pyar Mein. The film goes on floor in March 2013.
