Actor Imran Khan, recently addressed his feeling about his 2010 film ‘I Hate Luv Storys’, saying that it feels as if he is wearing his shoes on the wrong feet due to the film’s deliberate wrong spelling, saying that the spelling was done in ‘service of numerology’.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote: “I Hate Luv Storys; First, let’s address the spelling of the title, which always made me feel like I was wearing my shoes on the wrong feet. The orthographic butchery was done in service of numerology, which I personally never bought into, but here we are 13 years later still talking about the film’s popularity, so… what do I know.”
Describing the making of the film, Khan added: “What can I tell you about making this film; I instantly hit it off with @punitdmalhotra and we quickly developed a great working relationship. The energy was amazing, and...

Actor Samir Soni feels he has been pigeonholed into the role of an Nri in showbiz. He wants to ditch that image.
The actor has featured in "China Gate", "Baghban", "Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin", "Vivah", "Fashion" and "I Hate Luv Storys".
"Earlier, there were not many character roles and they were not given much importance. Over the years, that has changed. When I came into films, I was an Nri and so I was offered those kinds of roles or rather some negative characters as I played in 'Fashion'," Samir said in a statement.
"As the format changed, character roles were given more importance. Now, I am trying to get rid of the Nri image," he said.
The actor added: "I want to get rid of the Nri image that initially I had since I moved to India from the Us. I am looking out for roles which stand out...

You have heard his work on some of the biggest soundtracks of Bollywood. However, Shekhar Ravjiani is not only one of the best in creating the sounds of Hindi music today with his work with Vishal Dadlani, he also is an outstanding singer. His voice has been heard on some of our favorite tracks. What is so special is that in each song he sings he puts emotion and feeling in every note. Think of the magic of his voice and the acoustic guitar in the ‘Bin Tere – Reprise’ from I Hate Luv Storys.
Not only does he sing for Hindi OSTs, he has forged a new and unique path and has released some brilliant singles that he has both composed and sung including Saazni, Saavli and Butterfly. Once again, with each single you feel the notes and lyrics and his love of music.

Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania is the latest romantic comedy from Dharma Productions starring Student of the Year alumni Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. The soundtrack is composed by Sachin-Jigar (Shuddh Desi Romance) and Sharib-Toshi (Raaz: The Mystery Continues) with lyrics penned by Kumaar. It features the vocal talents of Anushka Manchanda, Shreya Ghoshal, Shalmali Kholgode (Lat Lag Gayi – Race 2), Vishal Dadlani and Arijit Singh amongst others.
The album kick starts with Saturday Saturday, which is a revision of The Titans, Indeep Bakshi and Badshah’s 2012 release by the Sabri brothers. The early promos of the track have hit the air waves, or rather the digital waves, and it has been steadily climbing the charts as the new party anthem. Other than pressing the right party-track buttons, that is, references to girls, drinking, clubs etc, the track has nothing to offer that has not been already offered by its predecessors.

Besides, her father Anil Kapoor has "trained" her to say "just friends" when anyone asks her if she's dating someone or not.
The father-daughter duo came together for a tete-a-tete with filmmaker Karan Johar on his celebrity chat show "Koffee With Karan".
Karan asked the "I Hate Luv Storys" actress - "Currently apparently there is some boyfriend...is that not true?"
She retorted: "No boyfriends! I am very single."

Mumbai, Nov 20: Director Punit Malhotra, who roped in Shraddha Kapoor to play South Indian character Vasudha in his forthcoming directorial venture "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein", says he wrote the character keeping her in mind.
"I met Shraddha after 'I Hate Luv Storys' at a theatre and something stayed with me. When I wrote the character of Vasudha, a nice south Indian girl, I only had Shraddha in mind. Trust me, I didn't go to anyone else," Malhotra said in an interview.
"First choice was Shraddha and this was even before 'Aashiqui 2'. I went to her. I gave her the subject and said, 'It's a very nice role. You will look really.

About his new film with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Imran Khan says it genuinely a whole bunch of fun and from what we have seen so far in the promos we would have to agree. Gori Tere Pyaar Mein was directed by Punit Malhotra. The rom-com with more is set to release on November 22nd and fans cannot wait to see these what these three will bring to the silver screen. In the film, Imran plays Sriram Venkat the shallowest guy on earth who doesn’t value anything but having a good time. Of course as all heroes must do, he meets the love of his life Dia, a firebrand social activist who wants to change the world, played by Kareena Kapoor Khan. Of course being the man he is and the woman she is they have a short romance…What happens next is the more to the Gtpm’s kahaani.

In Punit Malhotra’s Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, the Aashiqui 2 star Shraddha Kapoor plays a small role for which she didn’t charge Karan Johar’s production house a fee.
Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is produced by Dharma Productions and also stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
A source said, “When Shraddha read the script, she really liked it. Since she also wanted to work with the banner, she agreed to come on board instantly without any remuneration. Her role isn’t a lengthy one, but she plays an important part. Her role is crucial to the storyline.”
Punit Malhotra the director of the movie said, “I bumped into Shraddha outside a theatre on the day I Hate Luv Storys (2010) released. I’ve known her since then. When we wrote the character of Vasudha, I had her in mind, so I casually met her for coffee and sounded her off about the role.

Shraddha Kapoor, who became an overnight sensation post the smash hit Aashiqui 2, is in the news again, for all the right reasons. Not many know that the upcoming film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein (Gtpm) that stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor also features Shraddha Kapoor in a small but prominent role. Now we hear that Shraddha wanted to work with the KJo banner and hence immediately gave her nod to the film. The icing on the cake however, is that she didn't charge a penny for the film. The film's director Punit Malhotra, revealed that he knew Shraddha since 2010, when he met her during the screening of his film I Hate Luv Storys. He also said that Shraddha was a very sweet person to work with and will be credited as a 'friendly appearance' in the film.

BollySpice Review: Sunidhi Chauhan creates history at Royal Albert Hall with a spellbinding concert!
Acclaimed Bollywood playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan proved on Friday night that she is indeed one of the best artists in the industry today. Her UK tour ended with a concert at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall where she belted out some of her greatest songs. Organised by TLC Events and Rock On Music, Sunidhi’s incredible energy was felt by the audience and they showed their love for her by cheering as loud as they possibly could.
The concert opened with the classic ‘Aisa Jadoo’ (Khakee) and Sunidhi followed it up with hit songs like ‘Halkat Jawaani’ (Heroine) ‘Ainvayi Ainvayi’ (Band Baaja Baaraat), ‘Bin Tere’ (I Hate Luv Storys), ‘Yaaram’ (Ek Thi Dayaan), ‘Ishq Sufiyana’ (The Dirty Picture) and ‘Bhaage Re Mann,’ (Chameli). One had to be present at the concert to see how charismatic Sunidhi sounded live. Though she is undoubtedly good on recording, she sounded ten times better live on stage.

Dharma Productions was established in 1976 by Yash Johar, Karan Johar’s father. In the last 37 years, the film company has become one of the most prominent players when it comes to putting Bollywood cinema on the world map.
KJo’s celluloid ventures — from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) to their latest blockbuster Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (currently enjoying a historic run) — have taken his father’s dream several notches higher. And Dharma’s module of functioning, like a full-fledged film studio, is something many have aspired to follow. But very few have managed it so far.
Says Karan, “Ours is a young company with tall achievements; all of it is my father’s blessings. While we have been growing from strength to strength in each of the last three decades, in the last six years alone, we’ve been able to achieve several milestones. And this is because we have the strongest reserve of filmmakers.

‘Raanjhanaa’ has defied all odds and turned triumphant at the box office. If the opening day was good and the weekend resulted in added momentum, the weekdays brought with them further good news. They were ultra stable right through and added collections of over 3 crores on each of the days. This resulted in a very good first week collections in the excess of 34 crores which is fantastic.
The film is now all set to be Sonam Kapoor’s biggest grosser ever as it would cross the collections of ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ which had accumulated around 50 crores. With a ‘hit’ tag to boast of, Sonam’s wait to be back in the thick of things is now finally over. As for Dhanush, he has been accepted as a leading man and one now waits to see what he picks next in Bollywood. With the kind of appreciation that he has garnered,...

Last week’s prediction pretty much came true as between the three releases, it was ‘Raanjhanaa’ that came trumps. It was said in this column that the film’s opening won’t really hit the roof but would see gradual rise of the content turns out to be a winner. This was indeed the case as this Aanand L Rai directed film opened on a 25%-30% note, only to reach 70%-80% mark at an average by the time evening shows ensured. There was further progress over the weekend as the word of mouth ranged from above average to good to very good, hence resulting in a satisfying weekend.
Critical response to the film was generally good as well and further credibility came from the fact that the lead pair saw all around appreciation coming its way. Dhanush saw good brownie points coming his way for his first ever Bollywood outing...

Before Ranbir and Deepika’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has even released in cinemas, Karan Johar (who is the producer of this film) has stated that the two actors should collaborate again for a future project. “If two actors have an equal creative give and take between them, it translates beautifully on the screen and engages you as an audience member. Ranbir and Deepika must work together again,” said Karan in an interview with the Times of India.
Karan also spoke about their characters and what they will bring to the screen. “Deepika’s character has to show two aspects of her personality — one is scholar Naina, a bookworm who hasn’t had fun or seen enough of life. The other is a more evolved woman. Deepika is someone who can do both.” With regards to Ranbir, Karan said that “Ranbir is a big star and there’s no role he can’t do.
