Effects over essence

"To My Mother and Father" is a British 8-minute horror short film written and directed by Can Evrenol. I think it started nicely with the mask and there was some tension that I enjoyed as the viewer. However, at the end it all gets thrown overboard for most bloody and ridiculous ending you could imagine. Lots of gore too. I don't think the lengthy sex scene worked in the film's favor either. Fairly disappointing overall as I believe this movie had a decent premise and a solid beginning that could have been turned into something good. Sometimes subtlety is a lot better than going all in and this little movie here may have needed a more nuanced approach for sure. I do not recommend the watch. Thumbs down.

It was really irritating and nauseating I think that is not a bad thing if there is a point but this was meaningless.

Total crap. no idea why i watched this in 2020 . waste of time .
