We’ve had The Gardener, The Baker, The Painter, and now The Bricklayer joins the list of men of violence who’ve taken up peaceful professions only to find out that in some jobs you can never truly leave your past behind.
Steve Vail was one of the C.I.A. ‘s most dependable agents, even if his lack of respect for procedure made him less than popular with his superiors. The Island wastes no time in establishing just how evil its villain, Manuel is. As he’s talking to Nora, a singer auditioning at one of his properties, the waiter spills her drink on her. His response isn’t to fire the man but to stab him in the neck and tell the shocked woman, “Go get cleaned up, you work for me now.”
In Los Angeles Mark and his partner Phil are working undercover setting up a drug bust. This being an action film it naturally goes bad, but that’s not the worst thing Mark is going to have to deal with today. He gets a call telling him his brother has been murdered on the island where they grew up.

Just how unlucky can someone get? That’s the question for Special Agent Justin Rosa (Kevin Dillon), arriving late for his first day on wire room duty. After being chewed out by surly superior Shane Mueller (Bruce Willis), the necessary exposition is shared about Justin’s role; to monitor and keep alive arms-smuggler Eddie Flynn (Oliver Trevena).
After examining the rules that he must follow, Justin is bored by the slow-moving pace of the job. As he leaves to use the bathroom, that’s the exact moment a Swat team descend on Eddie’s home to execute everyone inside. Justin panics upon returning as he sees the chaotic situation and breaks protocol by contacting Eddie directly to save his life.

A couple weeks ago, we learned that a new take on Red Sonja had gone into production – after spending decades in development hell – with Matilda Lutz (Revenge) in the title role. Deadline reports that Lutz is joined in the cast by Oliver Trevena, who has experience wielding a sword thanks to his role in the 2019 film The Rising Hawk. Trevena is taking on the role of Tr’aal, “a gladiator-type warrior who joins Sonja in her fight against an evil emperor”.
M.J. Bassett (Solomon Kane) is directing Red Sonja from a screenplay by Joey Soloway (Transparent) and Tasha Huo (Netflix’s Tomb Raider anime). This version of Red Sonja is derived from the sword and sorcery comic books by Dynamite Entertainment, based on the character created by Robert E. Howard and adapted by Roy Thomas. Details on the plot are being kept under wraps. All we know is that Sonja...

Photo: 'Wire Room' The Hollywood Insider wishes the legendary Bruce Willis a speedy recovery. What to Expect from Wire Room In recent times, every Bruce Willis fan knows that the actor has retired from acting since he was diagnosed with aphasia, a disease that affects a person’s ability to communicate. This shocks the whole world since he is best-remembered for his role as John McClane, a loose cannon cop in the ‘Die Hard’ films. He was also noticed for choosing films that differed from the action archetype. He starred in other critically-acclaimed and independent films such as ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘The Sixth Sense.’ Lionsgate has now released his latest action film, ‘Wire Room.’ He stars with the legendary actor Kevin Dillon, who is well-known for the hit show ‘Entourage’ and had worked in two Oliver Stone films: ‘Platoon’ and ‘The Doors.’ His first time working with Bruce...

"You said to keep him alive…!" "I was wrong." Lionsgate has debuted the official trailer for Wire Room, another action thriller with Bruce Willis just like the many other junk movies they've been churning out with Willis for the last few years. I keep wondering how many of these they have up their sleeves, after the reveal of his cognitive disorder in March at least three or four of these film have appeared. So sad. While on Wire Room duty – a high-tech command center surveilling the most dangerous criminals – a federal agent listens in as the target is attacked in his home by a hit squad. Without burning the wire yet, he must protect the investigation and the target's life from the confines of a room fifty miles away. The film stars Kevin Dillon, Bruce Willis, Oliver Trevena, Texas Battle, Cameron Douglas, & Shelby Cobb. There are so many of these generic,...

On April 29, Bruce Willis’ storied filmography adds another credit with the release of “Fortress: Sniper’s Eye.”
The action-thriller starring Willis, Jesse Metcalfe and Chad Michael Murray is a sequel to 2021’s “Fortress” and is set to be released in select theaters, as well as on digital platforms and VOD. It’s just one of about 10 tough-guy titles still outstanding as Willis’ acting career comes to a close.
The actor’s family announced Wednesday that the superstar will step away from acting after being recently diagnosed with aphasia, a language disorder caused by brain damage the affects a person’s ability to communicate. As the world begins to unite against the U.S., the CIA must lure its most brilliant – and rebellious – operative out of retirement, forcing him to confront his checkered past while unraveling an international conspiracy.
Hanna Weg and Matt Johnson penned the script. G-Base’s Alan Siegel, Butler and Danielle Robinson are producing with Eclectic Pictures’ Heidi Jo Markel, and Millennium Media’s Jeffrey Greenstein, Les Weldon, Jonathan Yunger, Yariv Lerner and Rob Van Norden. Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson and Tanner Mobley from Millennium are serving as exec producers.
