One of the most intense short films you'll ever see
javvad18 May 2010
I've watched a lot of short movies on the internet... perhaps too many. But Blacklist is right up there as one of my favourites of all time.

So where do I start? It's an extremely well put together production which captures the atmosphere perfectly. You're hooked intently wondering what will happen next. The visuals, dialogue and music blend together and compliment each other perfectly. The anticipation level that all of this creates is akin to the infamous restaurant scene in the Godfather where Al-pacino is at the table with a concealed gun.

But the real eye opener was the plot. Yeah sure, when I read the synopsis I assumed it would be a simple plot. On the surface it is. But it has so many layers of complexity and draws so many analogies you could take the concept and apply it to almost any scenario.

I eagerly look forward to the next Roberto Iacurci production.

Short yet intense.... keeps you guessing

I wasn't sure what to expect with this short film. The opening got me interested but what was i in for?? Well i was in for a treat.. this film got my undivided attention with the intensity built up as soon as you hear the intro to when you start understanding more of the story. There's a bit of mystery as well dark feel to this movie.

If you like a film taken from an unusual unique angle you will like this.

Roberto Iacurci has certainly shown us his creativity with an excellent story line. Acting is good, and great film shots too. For a low budget film i am amazed.

Well worth a watch and has definitely left me questioning our chosen paths in life!!

The Master of Creep is at it again
bobbobwhite27 September 2013
James Spader is the whole thing in this terrorist series about a mastermind criminal who knows all about unknown crime and criminals our Fed "authorities" know nothing about thus cannot solve or prevent. Spader is this man who says he can help the FBI find them, as he did so well in the first episode. He is at his creepy best and so much better than the rest of this cast that all eyes are always on him no matter who else is on the screen, even the hottie co-lead. Too bad that this series, as so many others do, thinks that putting a cute hottie in the opposing lead is the best thing to get lots of viewers instead of casting a realistic and believable, regular-looking smart female agent(there are many)to try to match wits with Spader(that however, is a totally losing proposition).

Spader, and the very adeptly coordinated child kidnap scene in this first installment were the major attractions, with the rest not much more than typical story and character stereotypes. Megan Boone, the Elizabeth character and Spader's personally chosen FBI connection, looked more concerned with looking hot than looking like a real agent. Her inexperience, makeup, hair, cleavage..... give me a break. Almost as bad as the CSI series where every female was a hottie with a deeply plunging neckline. Totally unrealistic, as is the all-knowing, all-seeing BS tech on NCIS that can pull up in 2 seconds what anyone in the world had for breakfast. The gov't can do that? Yeah, right. What a crock it all is.

But, Spader is too good in the Blacklist to miss and I will watch more to see if the rest of the cast and the series can rise to his serious talent challenge, but I doubt it.
