Fresh intelligent humor on a worn-out theme

Pollak and Antoon provide a fresh air to vamp around in, the unexpected happens with surprise twists and expectation for more. Its being divided into episodes helps to drive the weekly anticipation of intelligent comedy. vamped out definitely has potential to develop into a biggie. When I compared it to the traditional ideas and myths of a vampire, I found myself surprisingly amused as to my expectations and my familiarity with Dracula, and at first I expected to hear and experience horror or a scary script. Instead I got comedy and an entirely new take on a vampire and the nature of a vampires life. This vampire didn't fit the old mold- this vampire was interesting , and I wanted to get to know it(him?). Ha. hah... I highly recommend it if you like subtle comedy.......... check it out and get Vamped In !!!

Fresh and tight

Being new to web based shows I wasn't sure what to expect but Jason Antoon and Kevin Pollak were able to tell a great story over the course of 6 short episodes.

The comedy isn't the usual setup-punch line but more subtle such as waiting for a print out from an old computer printer.

Samm Levine also did a good turn as Antoon's character's agent.

Production wise I liked how they created generally real situations to cover the position of the cameras such has having Pollak hold one facing another speaker then cutting to the shot from his camera.

The show was a fresh take on the vampire fetish in Hollywood and I can't wait for season 2.
