"Demon Equation" THE REVIEW
sylrector22 November 2011
Warning: Spoilers
'Demon Equation' Filmmakers Richard James and Melanie White have crafted a film with true heart and pathos a roller coaster ride through one man's hell. A thriller/chiller about "MAX" ( Mike Mili) a man beseeched by demons on all sides. We follow Max through a barrage of attacks by demons. In one scene Max is chased by a demon through his own home, and trapped in the bathroom. Suddenly he is attacked by another demon this time through the mirror in his own bathroom, as the other demon tries to break into the bathroom. The demon in the mirror is bent on enticing Max to kill himself. Then the demon smashes into the bathroom just in time to attack Max moments before he pulls the trigger. The demon unknowingly saves Max's life, but Max must now fight this demon for his life, and does so in bloody gun fight. The whole film viewers are on the edge of their seats; never knowing where a demon maybe coming from. The action kept my interest, and the sheer emotion kept me completely riveted to the characters through the whole movie.

This filmed is billed to be a possible new genre for horror filmmakers, and as far as I'm concerned "Bravo, and it's much needed shot in the arm for all independent films. Not since the Evil Dead movies have I been so excited about a film shot in Detroit. I can't wait to see where this film goes from here.

Waste of time indie horror

Warning: Spoilers
DEMON EXORCISM is a shoddy Z-grade production that tries very hard to come across as a proper film but really isn't. It has a lot of actors and locations in it but the story is dull and derivative and the religious themes are a bore. The propensity to overact by the cast members doesn't help much either. In addition the basic effects and the silly action scenes are a waste of time.

Demon Combat of the low budget kind.

Warning: Spoilers
First off I saw this movie for one reason. I really wanted to see a film like Day of Dead, but instead of Zombies with Demons. I rented this film off the Amazon.com site for a download. The quality of the download was pretty good.

Now to the movie, Demon Equation is a very low budget movie, which in most cases this would cause me to pass. But there just isn't any films out there with people actually fighting Demons. If I were a filmmaker this would be a no brainer for me. Demon Equation has a lot of heart, and I really liked the story. It was interesting to watch a film made on such a low budget, the story came through quite well, and the acting was really pretty decent for a low budget film. The best performances in my opinion came from Jamie Wheatley who played Beezlebub, a Demon torturing the soul of the Maxwell character(the hero) played by Mike Mili. I found myself caught up in the story, and couldn't wait to see what would happen next, and for me that made it pretty exciting and interesting to watch. The special effects are pretty cool in one scene the Maxwell character is hit by a car, and it came as a complete surprise to me, and it looked sooooo real. The demons seem to pop in and out of people, and are armed with powerful abilities like telekinetic powers which they use as weapons against people, and other Demons. It was a really interesting to see this movie play out. The ending is completely unexpected, and it left me thinking about it long enough to write a review for it. I don't know how well this movie has sold, but I can honestly say that if you don't mind low budget movies you should really check this little gem out.
