Ok. Can we already take Louie back for god's sake?!
kofila21 January 2022
Is this his best special ever? Probably not. But still sooo much better than other current stand ups. He can still surprise you and make you laugh out loud, he can be edgy and very relatable at same times. He is not only smart and funny but he is a real artist and I really miss his stuff. Did he do some bad things? Yeah, but I think the punishment was done, he served his time and he should be taken back now. We need Louie.

Louis running over landmines
slak96u8 March 2022
Its what he does.

The first couple minutes was stale, half baked. Then.... LCK finds his groove and tackles every impossible topic you can think of. You can tell he's been sitting on his act for a while, it's sharp and to the point. Honestly... this is one of his best sets. It's brilliant, he goes after literally every controversial topic you can think of, and it's entertaining. Great social commentary without being angry, like Chappelle, or bitter like Burr.

LCK is basically the modern day Carlin. His word play isn't the same, not as directly intelligent... Carlin was Carlin... but LCK attacks impossible subjects, like Carlin did. It might not always be laugh inducing, but it's intelligent, entertaining, like Chappelle.

Glad LCK is back, fantastic set. When he is dead and gone, this will go down as one of his best.

Seriously funny!
gina_gemini29 December 2021
I haven't had laughed this hard in a loooong time and I LOVED it. From start to finish, his material and delivery were as close to perfect as it can get. Punch after punch, joke after joke they landed strongly. Again he did not compromise and went after touchy subjects the way only he can. Classic Louis. (And maybe it was this funny because now he is free from distributors overseeing his work, I dunno.....whatever it is keep it up) I just wish I was in the audience alongside all those other women giving him an standing ovation.

Louis CK
foy-rizla21 December 2021
Louis CK is a serious contender for the greatest comedian of all time. Like The Beatles, his quantity of quality is undeniable, as is his consistency, and Sorry is yet another fantastic addition to his outstanding catalogue.

This man is one of the great moral philosophers of our generation, and the irony of that is not lost on him. Since revelations of his private life hit the headlines, Louis has become even more willing to take risks. He says what he wants and we can make what we make of it, and that, in essence, is exactly who he is.

As a fan, this is the show I wanted to see; Louis CK being Louis CK without restraint or limitation. This is Louis as he is and it is a masterpiece.

10/10.

Proudly gave it a 10.

Top notch comedy from the opening to the closing. Well crafted jokes and linked section to section flawlessly.

Sorry, your review is too short. It needs to contain at least 150 characters.

not the best not the worst

A seven because it is him and like many I'm exited that he's back. He's using the trick where emphasizing certain words and repeating them a lot as a joke. Like repeating 9/11 and Zoo. I just think he's better than that.

Happy to see louie back.

He does an amazing job with this special.

It's all a fan could ask for.

And I'm happy to see that a quite big portion of the people are going to his shows again.

Good. Better than most. Not his best.
perisho31 December 2021
Louis's two specials since "the incident" are entitled Sincerely and Sorry. Of the two Sincerely is better imo.

Louis has always had a dark edge, but the edge, while still dark is a bit dull from being knocked around in the junk drawer of life. On his worst day he is funnier than 99% of people and I enjoyed every moment of Sorry, but it's not as good as his best work.

Fans of his will enjoy it for sure. It is a bit like seeing an old friend who has been out of circulation for a while. His jokes are his classic style and his delivery is perfect as always, his long career has given him very very good instincts that serve him well. He barely needs to work at it anymore, or at least that's the way it feels.

I wont say it feels like he's "going through the motions" but it's a different Louie tan the one we had before, his mood and tone are just a bit different. He has changed. I reckon some of the changes are good, but some of them may not be.

Good show.

Brand Me A Bad Guy...
genious-3541324 December 2021
But I watched this special. I wanted to watch it, I was elated whn I heard there was a new one available on his site and yes, the bad man paid the money and bought it. And I'm glad I did. Jim Gaffagan's most recent special 'Comedy Monster' was really good, as you'd expect from a top comedian. But I forgot how much Louis CK makes me laugh so hard I sometimes gasp for air. You might THINK you've heard all of the takes on covid, the trans community, kids, adoption, B-holes... but face it: You know Louis CK has a much more original and hilarious view on it all. Just watch it and try not to laugh... and let people say you're 'bad' for watching this, all they want because THAT is what they do... all of the time. I can live with the 'shame' and so can you.

Sorry is great.
Sir_watch_alot26 December 2021
Louis C. K. almost always makes us laugh. He goes where not many dare go aswell. Will watch again en will keep watching more from/with him.

And for the 'Brit' YourMyWifeNow...: speak for yourself. Maybe only Brits don't like humor from other counties, because the Dutch I know love Seinfeld. And Falwty Towers aswell.

So go figure.

Fun-filled with self-pity and thoughtfully subtle and current jokes
Extinctive28 December 2021
Louie running his mouth again, like he used to. A little bit wounded by the recent past, and seemingly angrier, but more careful than before it all, except where it comes to sexually deviant comedy.

Constantly having his personal watchdog critique his own material gets a little bit tedious at times, and his usual sh_t, anal and pen_s vag_na jokes get somewhat boring in a way, I lost my attention-span near the ending, but still an interesting very entertaining bit of standup mime and fascinating look into who he really is, if we didn't know that already.

I like seeing he had the entire theatre filled with paying visitors, and that he's selling the special on his own website, bypassing all the middle-men. I love that about Louie, he's smart enough to get that working, but still human, he can't help being who he is. I loved the part about Matt Damon and Goodwill Hunting. That's so true! It's like he came over his own writing.

It appears that my submission contained profanity or offensive words, this violates imdb policy. If you do not edit your submission it will likely be rejected. How crazy is that? How does one properly review a special like this not ever using profanity?

Meh.. not his best.
HorrorDonLeash16 January 2022
It was okay. I didn't laugh as much as I've laughed in the past. He's been my fav comedian for years and I feel like this one just didn't have the same spark as the other specials. A lot of people seemed to like it but the jokes just felt mediocre to me. And edgy jokes just felt forced and more like he was going for shock value rather than being funny. There were parts that a laughed out loud but overall I think this standup will probably be pretty forgettable. I am glad to see him back though. Hopefully he keeps writing and putting out specials, and hopefully they're better than this.

Good return.
Apathet1c8 February 2022
While some parts of it felt too long, the majority of his jokes and delivery were standard Louis C. K. If you like his style, this one will remind you of how amazing his older specials were. This is close, but not quite as good as his older stuff.

Some of the subjects he talked about lacked some "punchiness" and flow, but it's been quite some time since I laughed so hard with anything. 100% recommended for people familiar with his work.

Funniest guy alive is back
stklaus26 December 2021
First, I wanna say this: I'm glad that Weinstein is in jail, but you can't compare him with a nice guy like Louis. Artists, and I mean great artists, always have been kinda eccentric. For instance Picasso said "For me there are only two kinds of women: goddesses and doormats." and people still buy his pictures for multimillion of dollars. You can judge the art of an artist, but you can't judge his private life, coz it is called "private" for a reason, and in this case I judge the media, I just can't trust the media anymore.

That being said, I only watched 4 minutes into the show and felt compelled to write this review coz I haven't laughed so hard in ages.

And for the guy comparing Brit with US humour: he is right, it's often stupid and neither I think Seinfeld to be funny. British humour was always the best until Louis CK came.

(9/10 rating, coz as I said, I just watched 4 min, so can't give a 10/10)

edit: after watching the whole show, I must give it a 10/10 The guys complaining about, that it is weak: this is the most non political correct show, I ve ever seen, it's insulting the half of our population and every1 that still believes in 9-11 and covid; the low ratings r just becoz this show tells the truth, it's philosophical.

Of course he's great, but maybe...
radekpkozik11 January 2022
Of course Louis CK is one of the best comedians in the world. There's no doubt. His punches are great and he's a phenomenal storyteller. Of course. But maybe... he can do better than that, and sometimes it felt like he didn't work on that material for too long and just put together some of new jokes.

Of course he's a genius (not the 'put one cup in another cup' genius, but in the 'ha ha' way. Of course he's funny, seems approchable (even though he's not) and I love the way he describes the world around him. Of course I'd spend another 10$ on his new special and can't wait (probably another year or so). Of course my expectations were high. But maybe, just maybe, he could have done better, we know he knows how to do that.

Is he still my favourite? Yes, along with the fellow american Bill Burr and the japanese comedian- Tom Segura, best guys in the business.

Do not hesitate to buy it, it's really great. But from this maestro, I was expecting a masterpiece, and this one is just very good.

Paid the money, worth it!
leaneuendorff18 February 2022
Absolutely wanted to watch the new special and if you like Louis C. K. it's absolutely worth it. He addresses all the topics covid, a-holes, trans community, pedophiles... but in his view and it's brill! So happy he's back and he should be taken back now!

Cheap comedy
mr-altex16 January 2022
If it wasn't Louis C. K. on the title, I would have thought it is somebody new in the business, using cheap and predictable punchlines. Not even F bombs are saving this.

His earlier work based on self-deprecation was great, but this take on common topics is just hit and miss. It closed on a high note but it isn't enough to save the whole hour.

Just brilliant, Louis C.K is still just as funny
josefmouri30 January 2022
It's absolutely hillarious, I was cracking out loud from start to finish, original and nuanced jokes, nothing generic, complete new material that just hits right.

Havn't heard from Louis in years, his first show I see in a very long time and he just kills it, already watched it three times.

I think it's time to officially give CK the title of GOAT
chris-4704221 March 2023
I've watched and re-watched this show so many times. Louis is a comedy genius. There are other great comedians like Chapelle, Gervais, Prior, Carling, but none seem to deliver so many specials, so consistently good. Chris Rock even used a Louis CK joke in his recent Netflix special. If that doesn't speak volumes, in don't know what does. It's interesting to go back to his early stuff and watch him develop and improve, his comedic pausing is spectacular, his audience connection is phenomenal, his observational comedy is on another level and his misdirection is better than anyone I've seen. And i think he's still got loads left in him. He will be considered the greatest comedian of all time, but due to the "me too" cloud that continues to cast its shadow over him, i fear society won't acknowledge his greatness until he finally leaves the stage for good.

A few good bits, overall mediocre
carsonjuell30 December 2021
In my opinion, this is Louis' worst special to date. A few of the bits were funny enough to keep me getting through but for every funny bit, there was one that didn't feel as well thought out or funny. It's a big step down from his last special. Still though, even a mediocre Louis CK special is far better than most comedians best material. I'd recommend watching the bits about the Zoo and Good Will Hunting. It was just entertaining enough to keep me watching.

Definitely not his best work, but solid none the less. I love his off the wall childish humor. This strong showing is proof that cancel culture doesn't really exist.

So pumped to see him bounce back. Still hitting all the scared cows. The best they'll ever be. Anyone who gives this a low rated is just a fool with a agenda.

Still great
klostankovic6 January 2022
Not the best of Louis, but still a great show. He can masterfully jump over the walls of cancel culture and strike where he needs, without causing any disturbance. But, he is still a bit more careful then a comedian should be.

He seems to have believed in the 2020 hoax but this show is still extra-ordinary. Worth watching especially because many great jokes and insights aren't in the trailer.
