Dumb indie slasher spoof
Leofwine_draca7 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
PANMAN is a very lame indie comedy horror flick about a guy dressed in black with a steel pan on his head. He's this movie's anti-hero, initially involved in a sweet romance with an innocent woman before the events of the plot take a dark turn and spur him into a slasher-inspired evil. He subsequently goes on a killing spree, taking his anger out on a group of vigilantes. There are some brief gory moments but this is nowhere near as funny as it thinks it is; instead, it's just plain bad.

Dumb but somehow brilliant!
jdowning-3758718 September 2020
This film is absolutly ridiculous but I ended up loving every single part of it, from the insanely creative kills to the messy plot that is still somehow cohesive and fun . PanMan is easily one of my favorite films I've seen this year. If you find yourself absolutely bored with nothing to watch I implore you to find this film somewhere and watch this ridiculous masterpiece.

Potential Cult Classic

Panman is a Post-Modern slasher film with it's tongue cold chillin in it's cheek. Panman is silly. There are laughs to be found. It has an amusing sometimes clever script and it never takes itself seriously at all. The acting is the real bugaboo here. Some performances work, some are too far over the top and it finds itself swimming into satire, which is less gutsy then a strictly absurdest approach that would have, I feel, made it shine a little brighter for it's intended audience. Still there's enough goofy flavoring baked in that it succeeds to outperform far bigger budgeted movies with far less. Premise is basically "masked" killer (or killer with cooking pot on his head) kills culinary students and a "special" team of culinary students with their custard professor attempt to hunt him down and kill him. Of course, being a super slasher, he is supernatural and is in all reality a demon crossed with a dead Russian chef. Toss in a tragic love story and a sister out for "Justice" and you have an idea. Sadly, as mentioned, though well written and firmly filmed, the acting spoils the course. G.Larry Butler, in particular, goes to far overboard in his performance and produces the most groans. If his role was perhaps toned down a notch or given a different actor, this movie would be a little more likable. All in all, it's enjoyable but perhaps a tad too long. Maybe it would have worked better as a short. If you like Eagleheart, FDR, Black Dynamite and such..you might fall for this "ham".

Amazing

Possibly the greatest movie of all time. The amount of hilarity in the movie and the lack of seriousness is amazing. Sound effects are top notch as well.

Easy 10/10

Single best horror I have seen in decades. The lighting, sound design and acting are absolutely immaculate. If you love the grittiness from Zach Snyder's DC, then this is the next best thing, and it is a very close margin. This is the finest addition to film since hits like The Shining, IT, or any of Stephan Kings movie adaptations. If you are looking for a perfect endcap to a weekend with whoever you are dating, please pick this movie!

I LOVE PANMAN

G LARRY BUTLER, is the guy we all want to be our grandfather.

He is an impeccable human being, I admire and enjoy as many times as I can his role as Professor Hunter.

I love Panman, Tim Pilleri, he is an amazing guy, and I heard there is a sequel and I want to see it as soon as possible.

Must Watch
fishbeater11 December 2021
This movie is a must, Imagine a low-budget "scary movie" where the killer falls in love, gets betrayed and goes on a killing spree with a pan on his head.

Best Movie of the Universe
gl-0621427 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The beginning of the movie add me in tears beacause I dindn't know the tragic story of Panman and Hope. I might add that it was to sad for me.

Thjem I became exaultanted at the fact that he decided to kill the rest of the students who stole is recipe of the.poach salmon.

The special effects and the acting were perfect even oscard winning performances.

The end of the movie was the best part because we see the body of Jeremy get carried away by the waves. I thnk it was a metaphore for the cycle of life that all humans go throught.

Truly an amasing movie a recomend and wait impaciantely for the next one.
