The first was established at Borstal Prison in a village called Borstal, near Rochester, Kent, England. Bunty has to give a talk on deportment to a group of girls at a Borstal, she and Father Brown are embroiled in a murder.
After the semi comedic tone of The Island of Dreams, the series gets back to a more serious tone, this was a great episode, one I thoroughly enjoyed.
It was a relief to have a break from Inspector Mallory, Sergeant Goodfellow stepped into the role beautifully, another absence for Mrs McCarthy.
Wonderful to see Bunty back, I have missed her this series, as always she sports some fantastic outfits, and her presence worked incredibly well in this episode, she naturally felt part of events, not coincidental.
This was a million miles away from the last episode, very gritty, with some real, sincere characters, plus some wonderful acting.
Great episode, 9/10.
