Warning: Spoilers
Jodea (Chloe Traicos, who wrote this film; she grew up in Zimbabwe and had to leave the country after making the documentary A Stranger in my Homeland due to how critical it was against leader Robert Mugabe) is a struggling actress who can't seem to catch a break until she rear-ends the car of Zac Kawalski (Jeff Coppage), a movie director dealing with his past drug addiction and a famous wife (Yadira Pascault Orozco) who doesn't want anything to do with her husband or his new movie.

Zac thinks his movie can be a blockbuster if he can get action hero Ethan Burns (Kayd Currier) in the lead. As for the female role, he thinks an unknown can handle it. That's when fate places Jodea in his life and he makes a bet with his agent. If he can get Jodea ready for the role in thirty days, he'll get Ethan to be in the movie.

Director Jon Cohen's take on My Fair Lady may not break any new ground, but it's a well told movie that doesn't need big stars or special effects to be enjoyable.

Charming & witty escape
carmenrutter24 November 2021
Great comedy with a likeness to My Fair Lady with a Hollywood theme! Hidden depths to light hearted banter between characters ! Chuckle out loud moments! I'm still left in awe how Chloe Traicos has the ability to get in and out of that car window ! Give yourself time out to enjoy this movie it will have you thinking about it long after 🍿

Wonderful Jodea
bern-4375828 November 2021
Loved Jodea, loved her vulnerability, loved her character and loved the acting by Traicos and Mikes. The story is a beautiful story - a refreshing escape from crime and misery of the world.

Would love to see maybe a sequel or another movie with the same fun friendly and meaningful perspective.

Best Movie I've Seen All Year
markcrain21 November 2021
I absolutely loved this movie. I'm not generally a romantic comedy kind of guy but once this movie started I just couldn't stop watching. Chloe Traicos is mesmerising as Jodea and beautifully portrays the change from a terrible actress into an elegant star. Jeff Coppage is spectacular as Zac the bitter and twisted movie director although my personal favorite was Ryan Pratton as Harold the socially inept savant who has the most loveable charm which caused me to partly want Jodea to end up with him.

So the story is the Pygmalion story told in the eyes of Present Day Hollywood. When Jodea a terrible actress has a chance meeting with world famous movie director Zac Kawalsky ( well they had met before he fired her just the week before) when he drives into the back of her car - she uses this opportunity to get into his film. After auditioning disastrously Zac's agent Grant ( brilliantly played by Kent Hatch) makes a bet that he could "never get a performance" out of her. The game is on. This movie does not have a dull moment and you will find yourself laughing the whole way through.

The My Fair Lady of the 21st Century
mono10128 November 2021
My Fair Lady of 2021....pretty much sums up "Introducing Jodea" A Sweet Funny and Feel Good movie. The storyline is the kind of old fashioned romantic comedy that doesn't seem to get made anymore. Boy meets girl. Boy and girl have issues with each other. Boy and girl fall in love. All done with this lovely My Fair Lady take on it. This is the My Fair Lady of the 21st century. Only here it is about Jodea not being able to act and her Henry Higgins - Zac who is a famous movie director. With lots of hilarious scenes and a fantastic soundtrack this baby is a Must See.

Intelligent, Superbly-Acted and Genuinely Funny

This little gem of a film is living proof that miracles can be made on a modest budget.

Writer-creator and leading lady, Chloe Traicos, not only brings to the table a well-crafted script and her own multi-layered comedic flair, she has surrounded herself by an ensemble of highly talented actors including; Jeff Coppage, Kent Hatch, Yadira Pascault Orozco, Ryan Pratton, etc, who all give optimal performances under the helm of director-editor Jon Cohen. It is also notable to say just how good this project looks and sounds (thanks to cinematographer David Auner and an excellent team of sound engineers)...and it also has a great selection of original songs including "A Beautiful Lie" by Catherine Traicos.

We have all seen romantic comedies about actors trying to make it in Hollywood before, but never quite like this. This is fresh ground in a multitude of ways and ALL of the characters in the film are intriguing and highly entertaining to watch from the beginning of the movie until the finish.

The Feel Good Movie of the Year
castinggal-447535 December 2021
What a wonderful breath of fresh air this movie is. Made me a little nostalgic for the old romantic comedies of the 90's that just don't get made anymore. This is the story of Jodea a very ambitious but woefully untalented actress who will do whatever she can to break into Hollywood ( including working as an assistant on a movie set which she sucks at) When Zac a famous director drives into her car she persuades him to put her in his film. After a hilariously disastrous audition where (Grant Zac's manager makes a bet Zac can't get a performance out of her) Zac takes her on. This is cute, quirky and highly recommended for all who need something that's just plain Feel Good.

What a delightful, hopeful film that's what we need right now!
rsollish26 November 2021
What a delightful film where you love everyone. Perfect script with perfect performances. Lots of giggles. A story about the promise of America. I'm sure we're going to see more of Chloe in the future as she's a genuine talent. If you haven't seen it yet, I urge you to. It's a great way to end this awful year and begin the next with hope.

A great movie indeed
glero1 December 2021
I really enjoyed Introducing Jodea. It is a lovely and amusing movie, nicely done. The acting is on point. You can relate with the characters's struggle to make their dreams come true, with their frustration, their hopes but also their joy.

It is a movie that I would gladly watch many times.

Welldone to the director the actors!

Hilarious Film
teddanuuser20 April 2022
Just a hilariously funny feel good film.

It's a movie that shows Hollywood in a brutally funny way.

Anyone who has ever tried being in the film biz or who plans to be in it should see this film.

I was expecting another Indie Downer but for a little independent film this is refreshingly lighthearted and of the quality of something you'd see in mainstream cinema.

Terrific performances from Chloe Traicos, Jeff Coppage, Ryan Pratton and Steve Kimborough.

Best Movie I've seen in Decades
jamesropetherd3 May 2022
I didn't think they made movies like this anymore. Just an old fashioned and classy without anything crude or in your face sexual. Rags to riches feel good movie. The downtrodden girl finds her prince although he has several flaws of his own. Great acting and writing and the music is superb.

10 out of 10.

Fully recommend.

Wonderfully orchestrated and portrayed with grace
joylerickson19 April 2023
I loved this film.

It was extremely relatable and wonderfully orchestrated.

Certainly a film with wonderful character development to focus on leading by example.

The main takeaways and strong emphasis of this film illustrate hope, love, and following ones dreams.

Chloé's role is so inspirational.

She is so real, raw, and relatable.

She's so sweet.

The perfect actress for this character.

Chloe is phenomenal and portrays her genuine character as per both on and off screen.

A true life visual to Never give up the good fight. Leaves you wanting to see it over and over and share it with everyone.

Love this movie so much.

"He has one week to turn the world's worst actress into a star..."
mitchellbowker21 December 2021
If you want comedy, romance, heartfelt moments, an overall good time, then INTRODUCING JODEA is the movie for you. Also, an entertaining look behind the camera on the trials and tribulations on how movies are made. It's a lot of fun to watch!

One of the Best Movies I've Seen!
laraderaj12 April 2022
This movie is Hilarious. The Old Fashioned Romantic Comedy that we all miss so much. It is definitely worth watching especially if you need a good laugh. Chloe Traicos is hysterical as the ambitiously clueless Jodea and Jeff Coppage plays the bad boy director Zac to a T.

It's a movie that will leave you smiling for a while. Fully recommend.

Sweet and funny
fionaj-537-64536213 February 2022
After the crazy stresses of CoVid - nothing cures the soul like a fun filled, sweet romantic comedy.

Chloe Traicos has the ability to take you on a journey. A completely opposite role to her thriller (which was filled with quirky dark comedy) where she played a sociopathic killer- in Introducing Jodea we find a wanna be actress looking for a break - when a mishap in her car produces the opportunity.

Snuggle up with some wine and popcorn to enjoy this sweet sometimes corny , version of classic story boy meets girl, happy story filled with the clever comedic writing which is the signature of Chloe Traicos.

Fun!
redfieldcooper21 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I watched this with some friends. It was pretty funny, we had a good time watching it. What more can you ask for? Low budget movies can be so fun to both watch and make.

I'm curious about some of the creative process behind getting this made.

The world building within the film was cool - specifically the fake movies that existed. Nightfire 2, End of Time, etc. I love seeing movies within movies.

I think some of the negative reviews are extremely harsh, especially when watching independent, low budget films. When I watch these sorts of films, I like to judge it based on how entertaining it was.

Keep it up!

Please give us Nightfire 3! The fans demand it.

Just what I was looking for
c-brucker20 April 2023
Nothing beats spending a dreary Saturday afternoon than watching a heartwarming story of determination. I found myself rooting for Jodea (Chloe Traicos) to get the part and cheering her along saying her lines with her at times. Never giving up on her dreams although facing adversity every step of the way Introducing Jodea was a fun watch. It was wonderful to see her transformation before your eyes. I laughed out loud at parts and felt her despair right along with her at times. Great ensemble cast of characters. I found myself wanting to see what happened to them after the movie was over. Definitely something I would watch again.

Fun Watch!
shaunamcguiness18 April 2023
Cute cast and a fun story!

This felt like a 1980's romantic comedy, with its down-and-out (but oh so spunky and adorkable) leading lady and her clever workarounds. Lots of good themes and likeable characters. There were times I thought I had it all figured out, but then a surprise would pop up. Although the script is good, it's not the kind of story where you have to concentrate too hard, which makes for relaxing entertainment. It would be a good date night movie, or a pick-me-up, after a rough week! I extended my workout so I could keep watching and I'll be taking another look at this one, for sure.

Nice to meet you, Jodea
Introducing Jodea is a fun film for teens and adults alike. A sweet comedy with heart that will keep you rooting for Jodea the whole way through. Her struggles and her triumphs are relatable to all. When life hands her some punches, Jodea sees a window of opportunity and tries her hardest to turn her luck around. Jodea shows us that hard work and determination and laughter are keys to success. It was nice to meet you, Jodea!

It was also impressive what this team was able to create on a smaller budget. It goes to show that you don't need glitzy special effects or fancy sets. Great storytelling is where it's at.

Very Funny
martincooper-9087725 April 2022
Very funny take on Hollywood and it's shallow superficial attitude to people. Cleverly written and superbly acted this movie is a Must See. A cross between The Big Picture and LA Story - it sums up life in LA and the film biz in all its ugliness but does it in an incredibly humorous way.

Watched it and found myself thinking about it so much I watched it again.

Great movie!
