The Painter is another tale of a former covert operative forced to pick up his weapons and get back in the game. Can director Kimani Ray Smith and writer Brian Buccellato find a way to give the year a fresh start with the usual assortment of high-stakes espionage mixed with personal and professional betrayals?
Peter was one of the CIA’s top agents until he was sent to kill the same person his wife Elena’s team was sent to bring back alive. She lost the child she was carrying, and their marriage fell apart soon after.

Death’s Roulette (Uno Para Morir) opens on a familiar note, a group of strangers wakes up to find they’ve been kidnapped and brought to an unknown but opulent location for an unknown reason by an unknown person.
In this case, it’s a cop named Simon. Armando who is a surgeon. There’s a stewardess named Teresa and Jose who is retired.
The only ones with an obvious connection are three members of a family, wealthy businessman Esteban, his wife Marta, and their daughter Lupe, a human rights lawyer.
Director Manolo Cardona (Rubirosa) and writers Gavo Amiel and Julieta Steinberg let things play out pretty much as we expect they will. Everyone introduces themselves, there’s speculation about why they’re here and...

Disquiet is defined as “a feeling of anxiety or worry”, and it’s something one often feels when in a hospital even if they’re just visiting. So imagine what Sam is feeling when he wakes up in a hospital with nobody answering the call button. Even worse, the patient in the next bed tries to strangle him, then chases him into the hall where Sam stabs him repeatedly with a scalpel, only for the body to vanish.
When a nurse does arrive she vanishes as soon as he looks away. And then the psycho guy returns, even ripping open the roof of the elevator trying to get at Sam. After escaping once again he has flashbacks to the accident that put him in the hospital.
That all takes place...

If you miss the ’80s supernatural slashers of yesteryear then you’re in luck; #Float swims into release next month.
XYZ Films will release the film domestically on Digital and Vod on December 9, 2022.
Zac Locke, producer behind 2019’s Black Christmas, wrote and directed #Float. The slasher promises to play with the classic slasher tropes while updating them with modern sensibilities.
The slasher follows “Young, beautiful and full of life, vlogger Kali and her friends are heading to the river for their annual float, but it’s the first time since their friend overdosed and drowned last year. Their partying turns deadly as a sinister paranormal force plunges them into a life and death struggle forcing them to face their own fears as they turn on each other – and proceed to die one by one.”

After spending two years as the Senior Vice President of Business & Legal Affairs at Blumhouse Productions and producing such films as Country Gold, Vengeance, The Voyeurs, and the poorly received 2019 version of Black Christmas, Zac Locke has now made his feature writing and directing debut with the supernatural slasher #Float, and Deadline reports that XYZ Films has acquired the North American distribution rights to the film. They’re planning to release it on December 8th.
#Float follows the young, beautiful, and full-of-life vlogger Kali and her pals, who are heading to the river for their annual lazy river float, the first one since their friend Chuy overdosed and drowned a year earlier. But their partying suddenly takes a dark turn when a mysterious force plunges them into a life-and-death struggle, forcing them to face their own fears as they turn on each other – and proceed to die one by one.
