How to Find Forever

The premise is not too far off the common formulas. We have a marriage proposal planner up for a promotion goes back to her home town to plan a proposal. (Do an internet search and you will find there are companies that do this. There is even a Wikipedia article.) Meanwhile, Curt is trying to save the family orchard which is in financial trouble. To help, he is trying to win a contest.

I thought Erin Agostino and Aaron Ashmore had chemistry. I liked that the usual antagonistic meeting was toned down to merely chilly. Marley is a likeable leading lady, unlike the last two movies I watched on this network.

The acting was decent and likewise the dialogue. I loved one scene fairly late in the story where Marley is using Curt to test the sound and cameras. This was one of the funnier scenes that I've watched lately.

When I saw the envelope on the car window, I thought the ending was going to be slightly different and mine would have been so much better, but still it was a good ending, albeit predictable.

6.6 stars.

It's the classic story of a city woman returning to her hometown for a work project and meeting a man she's never encountered before. What sets this movie apart from others in its genre is that she isn't reconnecting with an old flame or a missed opportunity from her past. The man in question owns and manages an apple orchard with his sister, and he's passionate about perfecting his apple cider recipe for sale. When the female lead needs to use his vineyard for a work event, she faces initial resistance from him, leading to some melancholy moments. Despite their initial standoff, there's a mutual attraction brewing. As they navigate their growing feelings, the romance progresses quickly, then stalls, and eventually picks up again, but the timing never quite aligns. The chronology of their romance feels somewhat rushed and lacks organic development, although the conclusion ties things together well. But, overall this film is just a bit too sluggish to be satisfactorily entertaining, so this semi-bad apple only gets a 6.6 from this feller.

This is the worst film I think I've ever seen. What was that plot line? I'm sorry I've seen that done a million times. It's literally the same script as any cheesy American love film but changed the context. And don't get me started on those accents, they're so cheesy. There was no actual chemistry between the two main love interests, and it didn't warm my heart at all. It made me want to gag when they kissed at the end, it was so random. And he just whipped out a picnic last minute when she was about to leave? This movie was so bad and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody who wants to watch a good love story Seriously though, no chemistry, no audience Oh the murder sub-plot was interesting though. Develop that more and you'll get better reviews 😩

There is no romance here and the plot line is old (city girl goes to the country and becomes a Mary Jane who saves a farm and falls for a farmer who wears clean clothes the whole film except for the formulaic bots).

The female lead is a bad actress who talks like a little girl and uses her big eyes weirdly. The male lead is a good actor and he deserved a better love interest actress. There is no chemistry between them and the lead actress annoying calls loquats (loh-cuts) "Low Quats" repeatedly as if she's never heard of the fruit she supposedly uses regularly.

She walks around with manicured nails and white clothing, high heels and other inappropriate footwear, and acts like she's a handy person who cleans and does other "farmy" things. When talking "romantically" there's the little girl voice each time as if people believe that alone shows you love someone. Unbelievable and a bad actress who did an injustice to the lead actor.

I didn't care to finish this movie. The acting was stiff, bad and there was no chemistry at all between the two leads. Also her outfits on a farm?! Ridiculous!

I usually enjoy movies like this, but for me it was unwatchable and not enjoyable at all. The opposite was the case, watching them act made me feel awkward and irritated and oftentimes I could just shake my head.

If romantic movies were all like this, I wouldn't want to watch a single one. Thankfully there are great ones out there though.

This one ("How to Find Forever", or "Cider and Sunsets", either way it's bad!) was a waste of time and to think about the waste of budget! A shame!
