Within 24 hours, the short film became listed as a popular movie on Altibox's streaming service "Godt Norsk," a platform dedicated to Norwegian content. Among feature-length films, documentaries and short films, it remained one of the top 10 most-watched movies for five consecutive months.
The filming took place during the first COVID-19 lockdown in London in 2020.
The video calls were conducted using Zoom and recorded with OBS Studio.
All scenes with the cast were initially shot in a single day, but the ending had to be redone since it was captured using an iPhone XR. Director Toni Nordli believed it would work as the entire film was mostly shot on a smartphone, but was ultimately dissatisfied with the "cheap" and "flat" look of the iPhone camera. For the re-shoot, he used his own Canon 650D, the kit lens, and a Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM lens.
Many audience members believed that the movie was at first a documentary, and that the characters Dina and Noah were real people and a real couple until revealed later in the movie. Nina Yndis and Fayez Bakhsh won the awards for Best Actress and Best Actor, respectively, at the Out of Bounds Film Festival in Italy.
