Not the best, not the worst
hoddytoddy8 December 2022
I love Jill Wagner. She's one of my absolute favorites. Nick Bateman is totally gorgeous but he seemed a bit stiff in this. The storyline is predictable, yes, but movies in this genre tend to be predictable so when people express surprise when it turns out how they thought...I'm like what did you expect!?? That being said, this wasn't one of my favorites. It was cute, and sweet, but fell a little short. Felt rushed and not quite fully developed. Still cute but GAC is doing sooooo much better this year vs last. Last year it felt like they were just trying to replicate Hallmark whereas this years movies are much more original.

Heartwarming and sweet
elisa-grant10 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is a lovely movie set in gorgeous surrounds with the most over the top fantastic Christmas decorations.

A simple (and perhaps a little cheesy) tale of a young girl wanting a traditional "family" for Christmas. She is hoping for a lovely lady to join her and her dad to construct this once standard and now highly prized happy and "whole" family.

Whatever one thinks of the strength of the storyline, one thing is for sure- this is a movie about hope and love and who can argue with those things??

Christmas movies used to be feel good and sweet and this is definitely that. Added to which the cast are enjoyable to watch and the main cast members are very easy on the eye. What more can one ask for?!

Certainly beats the OTT and expensive Christmas movie I watched earlier today - whatever you do... stay away from "Spirited" 🤦‍♀️

Santa always brings gift.

This is a good movie for Christmas but there are so many good movies for Christmas. Christmas is all about feel-good movies and happy endings. This movie totally fits in.

The story is about a girl name Whitney who runs an interior business with her best friend. They got a big contract from Whitney's ex-boyfriend and she agree to work with him. He and her daughter move there they need their home to be ready by Christmas. His daughter is wishing for a mother. How that goes is basically the movie.

I love the hotel part where they got two rooms separate otherwise in every rom-com hotel scene is pretty common always two ex-lovers got one room and then you know what happened.

You know sometimes loving someone and never unloving them is beautiful. You just can't forget some people. This story is about positivity. I love the way Connor is becoming a father and getting to know how to live life with a family.

It's a cute story.

A typical Christmas.......
andymyers-880864 December 2022
It's cheesey, it's corny and it's a Christmas movie. What more do you expect. You don't even have to read up on the plot of the film to know right from the opening scenes how this movie ends. But who cares. It's an easy watch without having to put to much thought in to it. The young girls facial expressions were a little OTT for me especially just from seeing a sweet in the advent calender. It's the same premise of a 1000 other Christmas movies and I found it a quite enjoyable 90 minute watch on a miserable dark Sunday morning with a coffee and just the lights of the Christmas tree. It won't go down as a holiday classic but it ok for a one time watch.

Painful to watch
JulesRules7719 December 2021
Apart from a very repetitive story line and even more repetitive elements (interrupted kiss, misunderstanding without talking to each), which would have been mediocre, this became painful when Nick Bateman attempted to act. Really bad Hallmark knock off and a waste of Jill Wagner's talent.

Do you believe in miracles?
TheLittleSongbird26 October 2022
Really did like the premise for 'A Christmas Miracle for Daisy', no make that love. It sounded so moving and you know a film does something right when its premise immediately connects with you even before watching like it did with me. This premise connected with me personally, which is already something in its favour. Something that has not been the case for any film in a while. Of all the GAC Family films seen so far, this has the most relatable premise.

'A Christmas Miracle for Daisy' manages to be one of GAC Family's best films so far along with 'Much Ado About Christmas', their output has been a very mixed bag but some of it has been good and more and 'A Christmas Miracle for Daisy' is one of them. And one of the few to live up to its full potential and come close to exceeding it. It may not be a flawless film, have seen very few Christmas films or films in general that have fitted into that category, but it is one of the better ones seen in recent months.

Beginning with what could have been (a little) better, Perhaps a bit slow in the early stages, with it taking a while to get started.

Did feel too that the misunderstanding was on the predictable and forced side.

However, so much is good about 'A Miracle for Daisy'. It is very professionally filmed and the locations are simply beautiful. It isn't overscored, too constant or too loud, refreshing as this has been heard a lot by me overtime in film and television and it is tiresome really. The script is a lot less cheesy and schmaltzy than most Christmas films and did find it very sincere, very affecting and that it never sounded awkward. It is also not over-serious, with a light hearted-ness that was very appealing.

The story is gentle pace-wise but still engaging and heartfelt, it also warmed my heart and inspired me and handled a very personal true to life subject sensitively. The characters were worth connecting with and the film is well acted. Jill Wagner and Nick Bateman gave very honest and confident performances and can't wait to see more of Rubi Tupper, whose cute and natural presence makes for one of the better child acting performances in the past few months.

Summing up, very well done. 8/10.

Christmas disappointment !
amenthystpearl4 December 2022
Another typical Christmas movie with a very much predictable plot. There is zero chemistry between the male and female lead especially Nick Bateman. I love Nick Bateman, believe me, but I don't think he is meant for acting. His acting skills were poorly delivered in the movie and it was almost painful to watch him in action. This makes the movie less interesting and boring to which I didn't even finish the movie like I was supposed to be. If you are in for a feel good Christmas movie where you don't bother about the plot and acting then go for it. A one time watch movie. Nothing new or exciting.

Feels like Christmas at GAC.
gfrasmd14 December 2021
One more movie like Hallmark used to make. The story is simple, with a touch of Christmas spirit. The delivery is straightforward, with no hidden or intrusive messages. The entire cast works well and the lead actors, Jill Wagner and Nick Bateman, render their story credible. Rubi Tupper, playing Daisy at her debut, is super cute and a joy to watch. The film offers no striking moments or sensations. Just a world of nice people with kind sentiments and a little help from Santa. This is the kind of shows that leave you feeling better inside, as you expect at Christmas time.

Bad.
igneous-222 December 2021
First, stop reviewing movies like they have anything to do with GAC. These are all acquisitions that GAC has nothing to do with. Second, I would suggest Jill does whatever she can to claw back to Hallmark if this is how it's going to go. Insanely boring, no stakes, where is this miracle that the title mentions?

Christmas cheese at its best (or worst)
kirsten-kairuz10 December 2022
It's always the acting in these Christmas movies that gets me - it's so cringe! They find the worst talent out there, throw in constant snow and Christmas decor and there you have it - a Christmas movie! In spite of this though I'm a sucker for holiday movies - one expects them to be totally cheesy and pretty rubbish -but they're Christmas and feel good! Some are better than others though - this one is on the lower end of the spectrum! Acting is sooo bad, story line 100% predictable and no chemistry between Characters at all! I watched it through to the end though so I guess it wasn't the worst!!!

Pure Fun, No Agenda.
ssjoyfulnoise18 January 2022
I really liked this! Really cute. Although I don't think this is the best GAC 2021 Christmas movie, I thought it was much better than several of the 2021 Hallmark Christmas movies this year! Just pure fun, no agenda.

Cringe
deniseemmens7 December 2022
Even for a christmas film this is way to cringy. The main characters had no chemistry. And the "smart" little girl i found annoying. In general i like a good cheesy christmas film. Nothing wrong with a little bit of predictable plots. But this one was so bad. No development, the writing was flat, not a suprising or funny moment. The acting is not very well. The relationship between the character was not believable enough. Maybe because i live in the Netherlands, we generally don't decorate or houses at christmas time that much. But every house in the film was sooo way over the top haha. So: you can watch it but you've been warned.

Standard Christmas stuff
Jackbv12318 May 2022
Pretty much the usual Hallmark Christmas stuff but on their new competition - GAC Family.

This movie has no great highs or lows or surprises. There isn't a lot of dramatic tension. The Misunderstanding is a bit lame but follows the usual lines.

The acting is OK. The standout is Rubi Tupper as Daisy. She does a great job without overacting. So many Christmas movies get a boost from a well-done child in the mix.

Let's face it. A lot of longtime fans of Hallmark are ticked at them for going woke. GACF appears to be a breakaway promising to stick to the traditional ways. The old fans are rooting for GACF. But this movie, like pretty much all the other Christmas 2021 GACF offerings, was decent, family oriented, but nothing great. The same is true of most of the other 2021 offerings from Hallmark, UpTV and Lifetime. I didn't think it was a great year. However in my opinion, the few standouts there were in terms of sentiment and pure entertainment happened on one of the Hallmark channels or Lifetime.

Reminds of Hearts of Winter
nathankristina4 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I was looking forward to watching this movie, especially since I like Jill Wagner and Nick Bateman, and I wanted to give GAC another try. However, this movie reminds a lot of Hearts of Winter, which was a Hallmark production just 2 years earlier with much of the same premise. Jill successfully plays as an interior designer who helps a single dad with daughter to furnish/spruce up the home. Overall the movie wasn't bad, but I was disappointed that the storylines of this movie was so close to Hearts of Winter. It seems as though the writers lack ideas, but they could have at least used a different leading lady, a little son instead of a daughter, or wait 10 years so we have time to forget the other movie. Either way, the movie wasn't bad, but I would go back and watch the Hallmark original.

A very touching Christmas movie
agambre12 December 2021
OMG! Jill is back and she didn't disappoint! The casts are well-chosen who played their roles extremely well. The story touched your heart that miracles do happen. I am blown away and could not believe that this is the first for Rubi. I can see a bright future for this girl in many movies. She was so confident. Nick and Jill had awesome chemistry. I hope to see them again in future movies.

Thank you GAC!!!!!

Daisy is adorable
deanndebbie17 December 2022
I read all these reviews the talk about how predictable this movie is, etc. THAT'S the point of these movies! And I loved it. The main characters are great. Once again, I read that they don't have chemistry- that's what the movie is about, denying there was any chemistry.

If you're looking for a movie with a deep complicated plot, move on. But if you're looking for a movie in the old Hallmark style that makes you feel good, this is your movie.

The only two characters I thought could be better were the hotel owner and the Santa. They were okay, but not great.

I don't rewatch many of these types of movies, but I may rewatch this one.

Merry Christmas!

Cute as always
tmccheyne15 January 2023
Jill was def pregnant during this movie, looks somewhat tired, but gorgeous as always. Always love her films and this is no exception.

A bit predictable but always in a nice way.

Worth a nice cosy Sunday watch.

The young girl playing Daisy will I believe have a great future, she is a natural. Not the usual squeaky voiced precocious child that can be in some of these film types. I also love the Father Christmas. Also love the house, oh some of us can only dream about houses that size or quality. Also loved Sven's store, just the kind of place I'd love to rummage in for furniture etc.

A pleasure to watch.

A lovely Christmas
glori149127 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This film is about an interior designer, who is hired to decorate the house of who turns out to be her ex-boyfriend from years ago (whom she left since he only cared about the job), who currently has an adopted daughter Daisy (what is the daughter of his cousin who died) and he has taken care of her since she was 8 months old. Daisy is an adorable character, who is not disliked and who wants a mother as a Christmas miracle, she is a character that all the other characters in the story love. Daisy made Connor change and wanted a quieter life enjoying the little things, to the point of going to live in the small town where he always wanted to have a life with Whitney. It really is a quiet, tender Christmas movie, to watch with the family, about love.
