Andy Flynn
- Lieutenant Andy Flynn: [waking up in the hospital to see Provenza holding a balloon] So there is a hell.
- Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson: You're not there yet, Lieutenant.
- Detective Lt. Provenza: [Flynn glances at the balloon, which says "It's a Girl", Provenza shrugs] It's the only one they had in the gift shop.
- Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson: Good, 'cause I've got some questions for you.
- Lieutenant Andy Flynn: Like who would want to kill me?
- Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson: Lots of people, I'm sure, but who would actually go to the trouble?
- Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson: [showing a cell phone picture to Lt. Flynn] Is this the man who attacked you?
- Sharon Raydor: I should mention that if you positively ID the victim, then this case becomes mine, right now. On the other hand, if you don't recognize this man, then this case will be investigated by Major Crimes; so, bearing all that in mind, is this the man who tried to kill you?
- Lieutenant Andy Flynn: [obviously lying] It is hard to say. It all happened so fast.
- Sharon Raydor: Very good.
- Rick Zuman: Lieutenant Flynn. Good to see you looking so well. Oh, I spoke too soon. What happened?
- Lieutenant Andy Flynn: Some guy brought a knife to a gunfight.
- Rick Zuman: I gather you had the gun.
- Mike Tao: Martin Lawson, murdered his mother. He was convicted in June of '94.
- Russell Taylor: He came at Flynn in court... swore his brothers would get Flynn for calling his mama ugly.
- Detective Lt. Provenza: That's what got him talking. Flynn is the guy that broke him.
- Lieutenant Andy Flynn: By the way, his mother was ugly.
- Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson: What are you doing here? You've got over 30 stitches.
- Lieutenant Andy Flynn: Look, if you're trying to find somebody connected to me... don't you think you have a better chance identifying them with my help?
- Detective Lt. Provenza: Chief, don't worry. He won't do much. Like usual. It's just until we make the guy and then Flynn is going home.
