Go out and meet real person
jenniezhou032031 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
It's so shallow , which only based on the appearance and some good views about the guy.

By the way, the girls look desperate and cheesy

Its stupid but I like it.

Right ok this is probably one of the worst programs ever made. However that's why I like it. It's stupid, badly rehearsed and probably rigged. Can you really expect anything more?

I like it for those reasons. I use this as wind down background program after work. It's fun guessing which women the guy will pick and believe or not its also a habit of mine to look at women.

Its not the best program out there as I've said but there are worse, so give it a watch if theres nothing else on you might enjoy it.

Bring back Cilla!!
andrewwhitehead10005 February 2011
30 desperate girls (some slightly deranged), 1 desperate man. What a formula!! Blind Date it is not. Paddy McGuiness, what are you doing?? Paddy's gags barely hold together a show that should never have made prime time TV. Maybe I'm just too old to get it, but please give it a wide berth and do something more interesting. Go to the pub and meet real people!! Bring back Cilla!!!! AT least Blind Date tried to have a serious element by interviewing last week's 'winners'. Take me out does none of this and just moves on to yet another desperate guy trying to impress 30 desperate girls. It is 1 out of 10 because it is just so cheaply made and a terrible formula. Just bad.

This show is awful but, please, DON'T bring back Cilla....

...because Blind Date was another cheap, rigged, rip-off!

I'm amazed they've concocted another show like it.

Like Blind D..Date, the contestants are still desperate, shallow and fake, in appearance and personality.

Totally agree with the first reviewer, go out and meet REAL people!

Not like these, who are obviously just playing up to the cameras, the hype and the audience, with poorly rehearsed routines and chat up lines...

I'm not sure if I should be surprised or not that the British public still crave reality rubbish like this...

Warning: Spoilers
I kinda like it but it is cheesy ... and seems like some of the girls are there for the attention or the 5 Min's of fame rather than the dates love the host hes cheesy but likable and its always interesting to see esp in round 2 when they do a video about himself and a split screen of the girls and their lights how many go out

they had a real aww one last week though a girl who's been on the show awhile and hasn't been picked bc of her alternative look Looci .. the guy that came down was adam i think was her Ex bf who SHE had dumped awhile back and regretted it ..... everyone was in tears and was a nail biter at the end since was looci and one other girl who was last 2 ...... and was stunned who he picked .....

A loyal servant for ITV
studioAT12 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I write this shortly after the news that this show has been axed.

It's been a good servant for ITV for 10 years, that in this modern world of TV is worthy of commendation in itself, but over this time ITV started (as they always do) to tinker.

We've had z list celeb versions, pensioners versions, and add into that the fact that it's always repeated, it has meant that people have grown tired of it.

It may well get revived in time. The hilarious thing is that the network now have to find something to replace it.

This has the best writing for any show ever. The one liners and gags are brilliant and completely make sense. This is comedy at it's smartest. Paddy mcguiness delivers his all time best performance and adds so much weight to the show. He is hilarious however I think he gets jealous whenever anyone else has a funny moment because he always tries to steal their joke.

This is quality entertainment especially because paddy mcguiness is really fit, ummmm, I mean the girls are really fit. The directing is fantastic and the flashy cinematography adds to the theme of vanity and provides a nice juxtaposition to the realistic, improvisational dialogue. It's also fun working out who you like and don't like on the show.

This is the funniest show on TV, thanks to brilliant writing and one Oscar-worthy performance

Take Me Out
jboothmillard2 February 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I saw the adverts for this new dating show at the time it was starting, and it was essentially the replacement for Blind Date for Saturday nights, and I was really happy that it turned out to be just as good, if not better. Hosted by Patrick 'Paddy' McGuinness, this dating game show sees thirty single women looking for their perfect date, and all have a podium that starts white, and they will flash red when they press their buzzer. A single man will come down the "Love Lift", with a song they personally chose playing, and the first round will see them introduce themselves by name and where they live. The second round sees the single man on a recorded video telling all about himself, what he does for a living, his living situation, and of course what he is looking for in a perfect girl and relationship. The third and final round sees either the single man demonstrating a talent or skill he has in the studio, or it sees a recorded video from a friend or relative that reveals more about him and his particulars. If the single man can survive all three rounds with some girls, a minimum of one, leaving their lights turned on, it means a date is definite, but if all girls turn their lights off it is a Blackout, and the man leaves with no date and to the song "All By Myself". If the single man does have more than two girls leaving their lights on, he has the choice of which of the girls lights to turn off until just two girls left. He then asks a question to both girls to get an answer and decide which to go for, and Patrick gives him a fact that is true about one of the girls, i.e. something embarrassing, and of course whichever girl he chooses is the one that will go on a date with him. Every couple on the show goes for a date to the tropical island of Fernandos, and they spend the day doing an activity, e.g. water skiing, rock climbing, quad biking, racing, etc, and a dinner talk together, and obviously after this they can conclude separately whether they can have a future together. Patrick 'Paddy' McGuinness is a great choice of host, with his lovable catchphrases, e.g. "Single man, reveal yourself", "No likey, no lighty", "If you're turned off, turn off", and of course his near naughty but funny introductions, e.g. "Let the chicken see the nugget", "Let the tiddly see the wink", "Let the banana see the split", "Let the crown see the jewels", "Let the tongue see the twister", and so many more. It is good also because you can make your own mind up about whether the guy will get the girl, if you are a girl watching you can find the guy hot or not, and if you are a guy watching you have thirty women to decide whether you think are fit or not LOL, a great fun dating game show. Very good!

Awful dating show with an annoying presenter
DavidYZ1 May 2017
This is an ITV dating show that is presented by Paddy McGuinness. A male contestant introduces himself to 30 young women, who each have a light in front of them. If they don't want him, they turn their lights off. A video that the contestant has made, in which he talks about his life, is shown. After that, a video about him, made by his friends/family, is shown. Next, he demonstrates a skill that he has. If more that one girl still has her light on after all that, he chooses which one he wants to go on a date with. If only one girl has her light left on, he goes on a date with her. If none have their lights on, he goes home alone.

The presenter of this is annoying and overbearing. He wastes time by pointlessly and arrogantly interjecting his brand of hyperactive banter and unfunny jokes several times during each episode.

Not all contestants go through all the same rounds. Some inexplicably don't have a video of their friends/family talking about them shown. That is biased in their favour, as it's common for many girls to turn their lights off during that round.

AMAZING Night Time Tele to have a laugh
hanijossi8 December 2019
If you are going to take this programme seriously then let me save you the heartache because it is not the show for you. TAKE ME OUT is at the very heart of it is a fun light-hearted show that is meant to entertain and taken by face value. No more no less.

The premise is a simple one, 1 guy comes out the "love lift" and chooses from 30 girls but not until the girls have their chance first to show their interest or disinterest by deciding whether or not to keep their lights on.

The host, Paddy, is one of UK's best TV personnel and he takes this show to another level that no else in my opinion is capable of doing. His witty, quick remarks, perfect comebacks, funny gags by making fun at everyone including himself is the quintessence needed to make this show thrive.

10/10, watch it for what it is and you are guaranteed to have a laugh, or two.

This is probably best reality TV show in a decade. Totally miserable performances, from which your brain can freeze. Sometimes you don't even believe what is happening in front of you. The moderator sometimes do unbelievable things, that no mentally OK person would do. Some of the girls are also very hot, but picky (especially the Russian girl in Season 9). The girls have zero dignity. The show have zero dignity. Love it. 10/10 joints.
