One of the spectators is played by Daniel Quinn, who starred in Scanner Cop (1994) and Scanner Cop II (1995) as a man who could make people's heads explode with his mind, just as the tire does in this film.

The director, writer, cinematographer, editor and composer, Quentin Dupieux, is also known as Mr. Oizo. He became famous internationally when he released Mr. Oizo: Flat Beat (1999) which introduced the yellow puppet Flat Eric.
The script was written in one month.
