The man who married himself is a truly convincing short film that demonstrates his growing confidence as a filmmaker and the quality of his storytelling. The story grabs you from the title. I remember thinking: What? A man who married himself? Wait a minute. Obviously it all makes perfect sense in Oliver's world. Oliver as the main character is a fascinating type. He deserves the best for himself and wouldn't have any other way. The acting is excellent, but given the calibre of the cast that is something to be expected. However I am sure that directing the likes of Richer E Grand or Warren Clarke has not been an easy task but Garrick pulls it off with imagination, ability and flair. The costume, set design and art direction are top notch. The cinematography is excellent. Bravo to all cast and crew. Great work Mr Hamm but what's next now?
