It's very disappointing but not surprising that BET has chosen to cancel Black Hamptons. I think Carl Weber had been refreshing to the network with his stories and seeing multi-dimensional black characters and black excellence in the Black Hamptons. So to cancel after on 4 episodes makes me rethink why I started back watching BET and paying for BET+, although there are several shows I love on the the network they are consistent in showing black characters in negative light. I also, thinks it's great having another black writer other than Tyler Perry that dominates the networks with his shows. We should be able to see characters play roles and have characters that white actors have dominated the airwaves for years. If you want to continue having black people like me support your network start allowing more shows like the black Hamptons where people like me can recognize some of characters like myself and people that I know. I could go on but I will leave it at this when you have white people take over black networks and have the control to decide what type of stories are writers write and how they chose to depict us good or bad is a problem , especially when the shows they keep are the ones that show us in not so good light and anything other than the black excellence's that so many of us come from but yet not able to see is the reason why I personally will be thinking about if I will continue to support BET. Carl Weber keep up the great work and if you can tell your stories on BET find another network where you can and I will follow my fellow Divine9 brother, your Alpha Kappa Alpha sister and big supporter.

I absolutely love this show. The cast, the storyline, it is all everything. I hope it's around for a long time. Elise and Lamman have me rolling on the floor laughing. Not to mention Lamman and Mike Merril float everything inside me with their fine a$$es. My girl Blac Chyna,OMG! I love to see her on anything. Again, this show is absolutely amazing to me. Kudos to Carl Webber. I'm curious to see who the Patriarch is she what the boys are going to do to over throw their mother.. I love to see black shows more and more on television. We really winning out here, loving with no regrets and we deserve it. Keep the episodes coming Carl.

I've only seen episode one and two thus far. Lamman Rucker, Aaron Spears, Mike Merrill, Vanessa Calloway and Elise Neal gave good performances. I was about to stop watching it when I seen Blac Chyna come into picture. However The storyline seems interesting. Wealthy successful Black people in power always good to see. It's about power, love, deceitfulness, deception, lies, everything that you can think of that brings good drama. With the storyline thus far I can see this series take off. However some of the characters need to be replaced. No names. Brian White is also in the series. It's so hard to watch him be powerless with a corny haircut.

I love this show, it has a lil bit of everything it wasn't enough episodes to be honest the storyline and plots make for good TV. The Black Dynasty I just need to know how these boys are gonna get from under the control on there mother and love who they want to love while maintaining success. I want to see how the Johnsons are gonna overcome this without loosing everything.. This show can take you in so many directions and it keeps your intrest, I read somewhere that BET+ won't renew season 2 I think that's really stupid it's one the best shows in its line-up after All The Queens Men these 2 shows should air the same night really.

Can't believe it's been canceled. So want to see what happens next!! Someone should remedy this as soon as possible. Watching the first two episodes isn't enough. It won't do it justice. The character and plot development doesn't really expand until the third episode. By the fourth episode, there's enough intrigue to hook the audience. This is why it doesn't make sense to cancel the show after four episodes, especially since the end of the fourth episode foreshadows the introduction of a new character who promises to bring several plot twists. It's really sad to see how often good Black dramas are so easily dismissed.

With a great storyline and cast, I can't believe the series has been canceled after four episodes. Why?
The family fued between the Brittins and Johnsons, old money and new money is great. This show is a whole vibe and I love it. Wish you would have kept it going. Very disappointed that it was canceled after four episodes. Please reconsider!
Carl Weber, I noticed the Family Business connection. I hope that this is the reason that the show was canceled, so that they could merge together. I don't see any other reason why. Please make this make sense. Faithful Carl Weber fan here! If this is what you were going to do, you shouldn't have even televised it.

OMGsh...this show is great!!!
I wish it was on at least twice a week; please give this thought some consideration. The Black Hamptons are reality of successful Black people and it has taken too long to give successful Black people their props. The star-studded makes the show even more substantial. I intend to soon be in that number. I want my grandson to see more than my military strength. This is truly a reality show that I hope will continue to shed reality to young Black people. Hip-hop and rap are not the only means to success. It is of the utmost importance that Black parents instill the strength of education and the unity of the two parent participation in raising children. The cast are all people that know what it is truly like to fight for a come-up as Black actor and actresses. I am proud to see to strength of strong Blackness come to life, even if it is on television. 🙌👏😍

Carl Weber has stated that "The Black Hamptons" hasn't been cancelled. Its a question of will it show on BET or BET+. This show was good in my opinion. It will still stay on the air on one of two channels. Let's make sure we have the facts before posting information please. It was heavy on how people with money, influence and prestige act in real life unfortunately. I enjoyed the show. I hope to see the next show soon. The last show indicated that the husband is being released from lock up so all that the wife is trying to do will probably be undone. I am glad about that because she needs to be stopped.

This show has so much heart. Every character leaves you wanting more- good, bad & ugly!
Four episodes of soulful plots packed with power driven mover and slackers. I love seeing Venessa Bell Calloway, Brian J. White, Elise Neal, Lamman Rucker and the entire cast hold it down. All the new actors, new to me, are so refreshing.
I enjoy seeing how well they play up the human condition as it relates to family disfunction, romance, greed, love, and so much wealth. The back story keeps you motivated to see all players involved win. And all of these families know how to win.
I'm watching no matter what platform.

This is an excellent series can't wait til season 2 to start. I will keep my BET Plus for this it is worth it. Really like the story line and the clothes. Just beautiful. I just happen to run across this series. I expected to see at least 2 series and was very disappointed with only one. Vanessa Bell Calloway plays her part to the "T". She is very beautiful in this series. This series kind of reminds me of Dynasty in the late 1980's. Very classy and well written. Lamman Rucker excellent actor representing the "Burgh" ( Pittsburgh, Pa) we are very proud of you!! Blessings to everyone involved..

I am so thrilled that the show is finally back for season two. It is at the top of my list of favorite shows now. I can't get enough. The show is packed with several impressive A-list level talented actors along with a captivating storyline and the endless eye candy is a definite plus. It is a well written and directed projected with an outstanding cast. I certainly hope that there are many more seasons to keep this brilliant drama coming. Thanks and congratulations to everyone who is involved in the production of this show. It is a top notch television show and definitely binge worthy entertainment at its finest.

Why are there only 4 episodes!!!!! I want more!!!! MORE PLEASE!!! I love the storylines. The acting is good. I actually like it better than Family Business. I don't want to spoil the show for people but you should definitely watch! If this is a taste of what Karl Weber has in store for us than I am ready for the ride. He just may be the next Tyler Perry. Production capture the beauty of Black Hampton. The mansion, cars, jewelry, wigs, and yachts were on point. The conflict between the main characters were realistic. The celebrity guest appearances were shocking and exciting. Karl has really outdone himself.

I'm very disappointed like alot of the ppl leaving reviews have mentioned! I somehow stumbled upon this show & decided to give BET another shot at entertaining me. It was refreshing to see black ppl in roles discussing generational wealth, careers, family dynamics etc. Frankly I'm tired of the reality show, baby mama/baby daddy, struggle love, poverty stricken, gangsta themed story lines that networks keep shoving down our throats. Hopefully, maybe ppl, esp black ppl, can push for this to come back, just like I saw fans do for the show, "The Game". Nothing is impossible!!! Give the ppl what they're requesting please!

I just started watching the show today 8/19/2023 and wonder if it will be more episodes and wondering why it stopped at episode 4.. It drew me in when my husband happen to have it on BET and that was on and I say hey this look good let me see if they have it on Amazon BET and they did so I started watching it without commercials and it seems like a great show but I do t know if there will be more which would be disappointing because I like a lot of the actors in the show.. it's promising to be a great show if they decide to continue it if not it will be very disappointing.. Please don't say it's cancelled I have my whole family now watching it won't what going to happen next after episode 4??
