This is such a great show

Hoping there will be more seasons to this show. The cast is great and the storylines are so real. A great quality show for everyone.also make sure there is a box of tissues in the room. Found that there were lessons in each episode that can be applied in daily life as well as a way to be more compassionate with other people. Also it is good to see a series that show how difficult work life can be yet how people really can enjoy a difficult job by serving others needs.

Going Home
amybooksy9 June 2022
I was excited to have the opportunity to watch episode 3 from the new Pure Flix series, Going Home. I have to admit I was not sure what to think of it at the beginning. Randall was not a lovable character at first. The nurses and staff obviously had the same thoughts. After a little bit of kindness and understanding, he began to open up. Randall is a perfect example why I should never judge anyone and assume their character. I never know what someone is dealing on the inside, what lead them to the paths they have taken and that kindness does go a long way. I fell in love with Randall. I could see through his gruffness and see his brokenness, heartache and I could relate with his PTSD and the trauma he experienced. His story was extremely heart breaking but yet heartwarming. I cried like a baby the last fifteen minutes of the episode. So, I warn other watchers to keep their tissues handy. Such a beautiful tale of the power of forgiveness, being less judgmental and to show more compassion for one another. I loved it. I am going to give episode three ten plus stars and am looking forward to watching the other episodes in the series. I highly recommend it for other watchers who love inspiring and faith filled shows. They will not regret watching this one. I think I have a new show to look forward to new episodes as they release.

I received a digital link to watch the third episode of Going Home from Pure Flix, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

Heartwarming, Tear-jerking, and Hopeful
crazi-swans21 June 2022
A heartfelt original series from Pure Flix that follows a group of nurses and their patients at an end of life facility as they prepare for their journey to the life after this one.

I was impressed from the start with the excellent writing of this series, dealing with a difficult subject in a way that is compassionate, gives dignity, respect, and is a reminder of the hope for those who believe in Christ. This particular episode was one the hardest to watch, as Katherine's daughter especially is struggling with the facts of their situation, while a child with end stage Huntington's disease is admitted to their facility. I loved seeing how Janey has grown under the mentorship of Charley as a nurse not only dealing with patients, but their families as well.

Heartwarming and tear-jerking, yet at the same time filled with hope and encouragement for the families who are also facing some of their darkest days. I especially loved how Charley helped Sadie, by encouraging her to make the most of the time she had left with Steph. A inspiring and thought provoking new series that explores many unique topics for a TV series, bringing hope and encouragement even in the toughest trials.

I love this show I can't wait for next session. When is it coming? This show helped me to understand that we all go through death, suffering in all sorts of ways, we lose people we love. It helped me see how the new journey we all face is going to be beautiful no matter where your at in your session of life. We are loved by our Heavenly Father that heals the broken hearted and binds us together new. He will wipe every tear on this earth and there will be no more death or sorrow all life will be new.

An emotional yet uplifting show!
Cover-Lover30 June 2022
Season 1, Episode 6:

I'm new to the Going Home series, having only viewed episode 6 so far, but I'm so moved and inspired I plan to go back and watch from the beginning. What a beautiful premise for a Christian based show-to help people transition who are soon to pass away, as well as the family and friends left behind.

Charley Copeland, played by Cynthia Geary, is a hospice nurse who is faithful and obedient to her calling-helping families during these difficult times. She is gentle, kind, empathic, and easy to connect with. Exactly what I'd hope for in such a sensitive calling. I also want to give special kudos to Cozi Zuehlsdorff, who plays young hospice nurse Janey Richards. Her character offers a special ray of light, zest, and compassion to this show! No matter what these kindhearted nurses are going through on a personal level, they wear smiles on their faces to comforts weary hearts.

In this episode, Charley and her fellow colleagues assist Charley's childhood friend, Katherine, as she battles her last days with cancer. Charley is having an especially difficult time because she loves her friend, but still does what she can to help Katherine's husband and children cope through faith, prayer, and companionship.

Though parts of the episode are certainly sad, ironic humor offers a bit of levity. Also, the emphasis on positivity, such as forgiveness, faith, courage, and acceptance is heartening.

This emotional yet uplifting show is a must see. It brought my loved ones who have passed to mind as well as helped me face those I may lose in the future. Something Charley said in the trailer really stood out to me: "Death isn't the opposite of life...it's a part of life."

Heartbreaking and Heartwarming at the same time.

This is a great series that deals with death from the Christian persecution and other perspectives. Each episode has a unique, sad, and encouraging story. After viewing each episode you leave feeling a since of sorrow but more joy, peace, and full of hope. Great series that I highly recommended. The lead actress does a great job in her role. The clients who are dying do a great job ad well. Some of the acting fro other characters aren't as great but they don't affect the overall impact of this powerful and emotional series. This can be a difficult watch as it was for me but it ended up being an amazing experience.

It's like a wholesome Nurse Jackie
billsebe-297805 June 2022
I was pleasantly surprised after watching the first two episodes on Pure Flix. The main character is loving person but complicated, not the friendliest person. Her sidekick is a goofy zoomer nurse who means well but has a tendency to put her foot in her mouth. It kind of felt like a merging of "Nurse Jackie" and "Touched by an Angel"

So relieved to see there will be a season 2
blsturgeon17 May 2023
The world needs more shows like this one. I got the trial for pure Flix this week and going home what's the first thing that I watched. This show reminded me of touched by an angel in a way the characters are all very believable and I love how at the end Charlie talks to God about what she's been through during that episode. There is so much bad in the media today it's really nice to find a show like this that makes you feel good. It could easily have been a depressive show but instead every time I've finished an episode I felt really good about life again.

Anyone looking for a series that will really tug at the heart needs to watch this one My only problem is there's just not enough episodes. I did look it up though and apparently there will be a season 2 in the fall of 23 and I am so looking forward to that. I can't say enough good about this show and now I want to watch everything else that they have there. I will definitely subscribe at the end of the week. I wish my mother was still alive she would have truly loved this series.

Such A Wonderful Show
skmcreek11 February 2024
This series has ministered to me. I am a hospice nurse and honestly at first I thought there was no way a show could do justice to hospice work. How wrong I was. This is an amazing beautiful work and it is portrayed almost perfectly in this series. And the characters....they are amazing. Kudos to the actors who are portraying the nurses, staff and parents. I want to hug each and every one of you. And most of all, thank you all for the way you honor God throughout every episode. He IS our home and He loves it when we open our eyes to His loving grace. God bless each and every one of you who bring this show to us.

So Wholesome and Heartwarming
ambermcomeens26 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I am so glad I found this show. As a nurse who has worked hospice I relate to this show so much. Charlee gives the compassionate care that every nurse should strive to provide. I loved the very first episode where she won an award and through it in the trash. She didn't care about winning an award she was wanted to take quality care of her patients. Janey is such a goofball and makes the show fun. I look forward to a new episode every week. The show really captures the processing of emotions that the patient, family and caregivers go through during the end of life. Get a box of tissues ready before you watch, but it is worth every single tear you will shed. I can't say enough good things.
